#creaking rotates its whole model when walking

have u checked if the model is stuck fully under the head category in the model itself?
because it looks like that may be the case with your model
anim issur (and texture issue)
or a limb part
the model is not under head but its under body
could that be the issue?
if the entire model is then yes because by default the creaking moves its body parts as it moves a certain way so if all of it is in one spot, it will rotate the entire model
i put the model under a folder named "creaking" but the animation stops working and reverts to its original animation
animation works completely fine in blockbench though
heres the .jem file although im not sure if this helps
ahhh i see
so for the creaking
you need to make the model with the right group parts
at least im pretty sure
wdym
because u have a folder group for "creaking", which breaks into groups of "newleg, newleg2, ...", which is not the main root groups of the creaking normally
when u make the model you should try to use the root groups, which include head, body, left_arm, right_arm, left_leg, and right_leg
but you said if i do that it breaks the model
No no, sorry let me re-explain, i apologize for the confusion
So looking in blockbench, this is what the model for the creaking should look like when it comes to root groups:
the blue folder icon is the root group and the name next to it is what it refers to, and so from what I can tell from the earlier image is that you had all your body pieces (cubes) inside of one root group, which made it rotate weird (at least I am assuming), but in your .jem file it has a completely different root group structure which messes with the model
I apologize if that doesn't make sense 😅
so just leave it as the default CEM and make animations?
when it comes to root groups, I would say yes leave it, but you can change the cubes inside it and use additional folders in the root groups to animate different parts differently
ah sorry i also missed this part, if the animation reverts back, it might be that you don't have the original animations cancelled out
i already tried the canceling out thing
in the current .jem file u sent it doesnt have it cancelled out from what I can see-
i deleted it because it wasnt helping
i kinda fixed the creaking with the new model but im unsure which animation do i cancel out to stop it from rotating
Okay! I see it
So to cancel it out, what I normally do (it might not fully work but hopefully it does for u if you try it) Is you put the cubes u have in each root group into another folder but still have each cube u want in the respective root group, just nested into another folder
I can show an example
but which parts do i cancel out
So to cancel it out you need to make another group, for example with your model you can do this:
then in the animation if you want to cancel out the animation of the original head and add a new one, here's what i usually do:
"head2.rx": <your code here that you wanted>,
"head.rx": 0
or you can do what the cem animation doc says, which is make a cancel group and make it the negative of the original animation
If you don't have it already, would you like the CEM Documentation for Animation? :)
would it matter if i only put the code in one part only?
Wdym?
OH wait i think i know what you mean
So for each root group, let's use the head group for example, you would only put the head animations in that one
i mean its a bit better
Also an extra thing that may help is make sure you have the folders in the root groups pivoted correctly, because if the pivot is somewhere away from where you want it the animation may be less of how u want
