I think it has to do with Iris as when I turn shaders off, I can see it again. Its very easy to replicate.

#

here is the latest log where i turned shaders off and back on again

#

I'm also working on finding out what causes the features to just not appear sometimes, but I haven't pinned down the culprit. My best guess right now is it has to do with Illuminastions but not sure

i wondered where this had gone as it wasn't in #1019794274881126401 lol

#

did you sort this out?

#

did it only happen in the inventory ui?

red flare
#

it is pretty much only in the inventory

#

if you were to download Essential it would also happen in the menu as it uses the same player model

#

and yeah i have no idea what is causing it

#

also this has happened ever since my pack was just optifine replacements and inventory qol things

#

i also didnt have lithium before

#

happens on singleplayer and server

possibly

stable frost
#

I think i know what causes it now though

#

it has something to do with the beacon beam renderer in most shaders

visual spindle
#

if it only happens with bright emissives then that is exactly it

#

unfortunately the solution is to turn off bright emissives or get the shader dev to incorporate them

stable frost
#

most shaderpacks don't go out of the way to make sure that their custom beacon beam renderer behaves correctly when applied to something else than a beacon beam

visual spindle
#

I can perhaps incorporate a check to force the non-bright emissive in gui's but that is a patch solution

#

you were experiencing it in world

visual spindle
#

i'll probably add a compatibility option to auto disable bright mode if shaders are on

stable frost
#

The only shader i know that has a compatible beacon beam renderer is AstraLex

visual spindle
#

complimentary worked last i checked

stable frost
#

ye it works when compatibility mode is on

visual spindle
#

ah

#

yeah i'll definetly be incorporating this compatability setting to change brightness mode with shaders on then

#

I rarely test with other shaders these days

#

i havent actually changed emissive rendering for a while now
