I am using the Huion Kamvas 16 2021 since almost 3 years now without any problem and its pretty affordable too. Would suggest avoiding XP pen, the older ones specially they had some kinda display sticker on for the matte texture which can create annoying bubbles on the spot u draw on often, plus i had to press a lil harder than i have to on my huion one

I sound like im shilling Huion, Wacom tablets are THE best if you can afford it, their pen feels just soo much better compared to other brands

Currently using the XP PEN Deco 01 V3 (was supposed ot be V2 but idk if its Shoppee or XP pen themselves), and its somewaht the same size as a A4 bondpaper.
Condition wise pretty good after a year but just remember to get new drivers for better compatibility and stuff

only think i like about the tablet is the pen stand with the nib remover

This poor idiot actually suffers from slight asphyxia attacks because of the shortsleeved turtleneck, but knowing they were brought from North, there's literally no way to properly keep the neck warm without having a strangling feeling of fabric on skin.

That's why it's flannel-like checkered shirt and not sweater btw. It's warm and it's easy to temp-regulate due to having buttons.
And also pants are better than shorts in the North :'D

Also uh... the thing that I was asked to draw, kinda.

Ah, I've started it back when we just got the Umbral Monument.
That day I tried to beat some parts of the game with 2 operators only... And liked it.
Mostly it was supposed to be a joke on how it would look funny lore-wise, I guess? With some nice ending, I believe

These are the sketch of the first page and the, uh... storyboard? of the second page

Basically the joke was my idiot of an Endmin asked Xaihi to help them with "one mission" and turned the Umbral Monument into some sort of a screwed "date" (she didn't know)
And they were fighting fine in duo! Until the 2nd level. That one is really hard to keep the melee fighter alive in the last third of the level due to nitwyrms and, well
I've decided to bend reality a bit and change my skill issue into "sacrifice" (trying to aggro ranged enemies from your support to your dd is essential in first 2 thirds of the second level)
So gg wp Endmin gets disconnected due to being hit with 50 DMG Up Nitwyrm and Xaihi has to finish those damned worms all alone

But when she gets back to Dijiang she gets welcomed with awkward Endmin with several dishes they managed to prepare while she was fighting the nitwyrms, trying to negate their helplessness at the time, I guess??

It sounds so stupid but I can't explain it in any other way.

Also I think tracing is not that bad. Sometimes it can help with understanding of shapes for starting and intermediate artists.
I have "sinned" of that too before, so yeah...

The thing aside, about the clothing: it feels feminine due to the "naked" shoulder. Mostly only women and "femboys" let their shoulders be exposed, maybe due to fabric being not very comfortable when it's hanging while you do something. But that is my cent on why it could feel that way

Because of that I spent several hours on ~4 messages in the very first page of the comic and burned myself out so much I had no power for the actual dialogue scenarios

Index and middle finger are too large when it is supposed to be more slender. That type of volume is too big even for the thumb. The thumb and index should be more prominent in that pose, you may also get away with not drawing the pinky and simply implying that it is there

The hand position is pretty awkward because if you press down on a surface, fingers are usually flat, if curled up, it feels pretty awkward and stiff

A more relaxed hand with the fingers curled would have the palm in a downward position rather an upward

Im not good with hands myself, but i tend to like drawing the overall shape instead of the small details

Ideally you want a color for your bg that you won’t be using at all. Like there’s no green anywhere in my pallet. I think if you hue shift the green to blue it should work also, though blue light actually will keep ur body awake for longer

To cut time can use the spray brush for the base too, then using either watercolor or any type of brush you usually use for coloring

i like to fill in the lineart with the base color, alpha lock it, and then color the lineart with that same color so you get just a giant filled in block. Then i move it under the lineart and render via clipping mask over it

Shouldn't Krita and ibis support layers? Tbh I don't use them, I only use Medibang and CSP. Medibang is free and def user friendly if you want to try, crossplatform too

It's worth to buy CSP if you have the money, but for a beginner but with spesification at least as good like CSP and free .. I can move you to Medibang Paint especially for PC, you can also use the mobile version

The angle of the part from the butt to knee (character's left leg, or right side's leg ok your sight) is somewhat not right, if you compare it to the reference pose, and because your canvas' perspective ("camera position" for that pose) and the reference's image's camera position are sightly different, you need to take it into notice.
