If you try you'll at least learn a ton

If you have the tools or want to get them i recommend you do

You can also start by practicing on something like dead GPU's and just reflowing them to see if they suddenly revive

Or you can try to reball vram or the core if you want something closer to what you'll likely need to do to the SSD

Though if you get lucky just reflowing the controller and sata connector might make it work again

i'd recommend upgrading your graphics drivers to 596.21, as each 595.xx version has stability issues and it also fixes certain issues that are present in previous drivers 👍

when downloading the drivers -> select custom installation -> clean install

follow the nvidia control panel settings guide after clean installing that's above this link after you've finished

For better stability for AMD graphic users I should downgrade to x.2.x. I can't remember the other numbers off the top of my head so used x instead I'm using a 7600xt I've never downgraded adrenaline before tbh looked it up nice stuff just had to use ddu and then go get that version instead and had to make sure to click on the do not update button but besides this game is that version a stable version for adrenaline?

If you recently did a GPU driver update, do what Zen said to trigger a shader recompilation
If you use a Radeon 5000 or 6000 -series card, stay on 26.2.1 or older. 26.3.* is bad for those generations

I'm currently trying to get Arknights Endfield running on Linux and the GRYPHLINK launcher is still downloading as I write this. Thought I'd ask around while waiting in case anyone has already been down this road.

I'm running CachyOS (Arch-based) with Hyprland as my window manager, and I'm planning to run the game through Wine 11.7 + DXVK 2.6.2. The setup is technically ready, but I'm not sure yet whether the GRYPHLINK launcher will play nice with Wine or not.

A few things I'm wondering about:

• Does Endfield use any anti-cheat (like ACE or GameGuard) that's known to block Wine?
• Has anyone successfully installed and launched the game on Linux?
• If so, any Wine or DXVK settings you'd recommend?

I know it might not work perfectly, but I'd rather try than not. Any experience or advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🙏

I wasn't playing endfield that day, I believe it was the time my MC world crashed.

I do not recommend that, game is entirely compiled for ARM64 and the performance through Libhoudini is abysmal on low-end systems

Also if you're gonna switch prefix managers, please don't keep the same prefix, start from a clean one. You can copy/move the game files over from one to another (.../GRYPHLINK/games/ folder) after installing the launcher

iirc, there's certain controllers which require specific customization, or just general configurations, to work with arknights endfield

It's just a really weird confict that's come up recently I know the game has native dualshock support but if you ran the game via steam(running as admin) It'd override the native controls

because Steam doesn't know the game has native DualSense (USB) support
that's why you need to specifically disable it
