hey, is there a fix for the endfield process remaining open even after game exit? i searched the channel here and apparently other people had this issue after the 1.1 update, i tried terminating the process via procexp64.exe and via one other higher access level app, running the game at dx12/11, completely removing the anticheat, logging out of my current user and so on, only 'fix' so far is a pc restart

Ok, i uninstalled the game, removed the ACE drivers, removed the ACE anticheat and all traces of it, rebooted, reinstalled the game on another drive, added the entire folder to windows defender exclusions, and launched the game and launcher as admin. Game launched and closed without issues, then I launched it again and endfield.exe hung on exit once again...

As instructed by @tall acorn , in the reliability monitor i can confirm that: when PlatformProcess crashes, the game exits as expected, otherwise it hangs. There's also GameInput errors but i think that might be unrelated?

Prior to 31/03/26 i was just restarting the pc after closing the game, hence there are no Errors endfield related, on that day i uninstalled a buch of apps that could be interfering with the kernel anticheat (A Dell app, windows overlay's, etc) and it worked until yesterday. Not sure what else I can try to do, no new apps have been installed, and the only reports of anything changing in the OS in the reability monitor are windows defender updates and GameInput reconfiguring itself (probably due to it crashing). When this first started (1.1 release) I also tried repairing windows and updating nvidia drivers

I could try manually crashing PlatformProcess.exe to see if the game still hangs (when the game is still open, doing it now that the process is hung results in nothing)
