If you are using windows you can install MSI afterburner and set up a keybind for FPS OSD, if you have an intel ARC or XeSS iGPU you can use the intel Arc controll app which has an FPS OSD.

If you are on linux you can add a Non steam game to your steam library and use the steam overlay in that game. Alternatively I belive gamescope might work as well

Well 7900xt is lile 10 to 15% faster than 4070 super(excluding the built in features like dlss and framegen) but 7900xt costs around 700-800 bucks while 4070 super is at 600

Its really just which one you prefer, if you use linux more i would go with AMD

But then again those extra 100-200 dollars for a slight performance boost

this is about you having to downgrade nvidia driver because the latest or recent Nvidia driver is very buggy

revert your driver version to 591.86, future versions are unstable and will cause multiple issues depending on the version you have, such as stuttering in certain games and fan controls not working properly

you can revert drivers in the nvidia app, download and install them from the website, or clean install new drivers by following the DDU tutorial that's attached to the pins
