yeah, that's an issue
the Steam installer method makes it so all the game files are saved in your home directory, with not much of a way to change it
that error is most likely because your home dir is on a separate partition, which most distros set up by default

you can't "cleanly" change the game install directory when running via Steam
i recommend installing the game in Faugus or Lutris, and setting the prefix location to where you actually want the game to install on (your separate drive/partition)

the steam method is mostly for the Steam Deck, which doesn't have this issue as it doesn't split the drive into multiple partitions

I was just surprised because every essence solver for farming or essence checker treats dual stat in the same category like they don't exist.
