did this and updated to latest drivers (which apparently released today) 595.71. performance got way worse overall, fps drops everywhere, not just that scene. checked to launch with dx 11 and it seems to work fine, slightly lower cpu utilization and higher gpu utilization. did the clean driver install for previous version 591.86 and performance went back to how it was before. without dx11 i'd still drop frames in that scene and with dx11 it's fine, again with marginally lower cpu and higher gpu utilization

i've had this issue with other things, but i don't remember what triggers it. as far as i can tell it's not that the layer gets deleted/removed/yeeted, it's that the whole display thing that's supposed to be within the window boundaries gets shifted
