Hey, I'm a Linux player who installed and played the game on day 1 and was surprised how well it ran but after about a week I've been hit with quite a few different issues: from crashing to freezing to being logged out abruptly. Most of these I was able to fix except this strange screen tearing and stuttering issue.
I've tried:

• Turning on V-sync
• Lowering the quality settings
• Lowering the fps
• Changing my monitors refresh rate
• Updating drivers + dwproton
• reinstalling + repairing the game

None of these have solved the issue. Oddly enough lowering the framerate causes these issues to become more severe. And though I'm calling it stuttering, it's a form of stuttering I'm not used to. Rather than freezing for a bit what's actually happening is the game will redraw a previous frame sometimes 3 to 4 frames behind where the current frame was so it's incredibly jarring. I thought it might be rubberbanding since the game seems to require an online connection but afaik reducing my framerate wouldn't cause more issues if that was the case right? If it is rubberbanding of some kind, is there a way to check packet loss or whatever is causing this?

Bazzite if you do not want to care about updates (everything's automatic) get stability without much of a chance of breaking your system. Focused on gaming, though can be used for more than that.
