i havent done the math but from my own testing as someone who has max artificed yinglung AND swordmancer (the new pieces) for chen, yinglung wins by a margin of single percentages in terms of personal and team dps (tested vs rhodagn and marble aggelomoirai; both circumstances favour swordmancer due to higher importance given to stagger)

i imagine its due to the atk% set bonus

there may be fights where swordmancer is better for chen, especially if you're relying on her as a stagger bot first and foremost

It does annoy me though sometimes when people start putting hyperbolic numbers on what it takes to P5 a character. It was like same BS in the Genshin community. It assumes over like 1000 wishes you're going to lose every single 50/50 & hard pity every time. Yes it's theoretically possible to do that, but honestly if you're that unlucky all the time you likely shouldn't leave your home & consider living life in a padded white room.

It's the only thing that'll keep you safe.

For me the biggest thing wrong with the weapon banner is the fact that you can't select the signature weapon in the weapon boxes that you get every 16 pulls. If you could pick the signature weapon as one of the choices that entirely fixes the system & means you can't go more then 8 10 pulls without the weapon.

It would also make thing a bit better for people who got screwed going to 80 wishes for their first copy of the weapon.

Most of the potentials in this game are pretty terrible to be honest. I think Fangyi has the best potential scaling at like 50% over base at P5. Rossi's potential scaling is so bad that she actually gets stronger from her weapon potentials than her character pots. Fangyi is the opposite though & has terrible weapon scaling so she kind of averages out to the normal standard.

The way I look at it, the Arsenal system as it's currently implement is designed to make whales quit. As the levels of bad luck you can experience there is the kind that would make a whale uninstall the game. For me it's not a problem because I'm not struggling for capital & I have accepted it's dumb to chase weapon copies in the first place. But having a system in place that actively encourages your biggest spenders to quit isn't good for the games health. Genshin used to have a similar system but did the correct thing & addressed it by adding pity to the weapon banner.

Most of the value from the arsenal packs usually comes from the other resources that come alongside the Arsenal tokens such as weapon upgrade materials & t-creds to be honest. In terms of pull currency they're not much better than just pulling with rocks instead. But since you often end up with about a 1000 sanity worth of t-credits an other materials it makes the offer less terrible.
