Essense are tied to weapons

each weapon has 3 stats, a base stat, a secondary stat, and a skill stat

u want a essence that has a matching stat with all 3, any other stat doesnt work on them

u can also etch other essences into the essence your using to upgrade the stat increase in that essence

there are multiple energy alluvium u can find throughout the maps and the difference between them is they have different pools of secondary and skill stats

while base stats are the same for each of them

one alluvium place may have a secondary in its pool you need but lack the skill and vice versa

so u need to find one with both of them and farm that
