#SideStore Not Detecting VPN on iPad (Tried StosVPN & WireGuard)

Hey! I’ve been having trouble getting SideStore to detect a VPN connection on my iPad.

I first tried installing Geode through SideStore. Before launching, I downloaded and set up StosVPN, which is common for iOS users. However, SideStore didn’t detect the VPN at all.

After that, I switched to WireGuard, as recommended by the SideStore developers. I imported the config file, trusted it, and confirmed that it was connected — still no detection.

I also tried:
• Toggling VPNs on/off
• Changing settings
• Restarting my iPad
• Testing both Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot

I even thought it might be a server issue, since it wasn’t working on my iPhone either at the time — but my iPhone worked the next day. As of today, though, it still doesn’t work on the iPad.

Any ideas what might be going wrong? Could it be something device-specific or a VPN config issue? Let me know if you need logs or any more info.

I’m sorry, but the pairing file isn’t supposed to be expired. They last longer than like half a week, aren’t they?

I just wanted to share an update after more testing:

The pairing file was accepted, so I don’t think it’s expired or corrupted. But I still get the “No Wi-Fi and/or VPN” error — even though:
• I’m connected to Wi-Fi
• I tried StosVPN and WireGuard, both correctly configured and running
• I reset the pairing file and re-imported it — still didn’t fix it
• I tried rebooting and switching networks too

So now I’m wondering if this could be a false detection bug in how SideStore checks for VPN/Wi-Fi — especially on iPads or with certain configs.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can try, or if you want logs. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for trying to help. But screw it downloading it on my iPad. Anyways, is there something with your servers? Because everything i downloaded on SideStore, including SideStore itself, keeps crashing when I’m trying to open them! Thank you for your time once again!

Not Verified

Can you please help me again? When i tried to verify the apps, there was only “Verifying…” for a few seconds and disappeared without verifying, so i had to reinstall the apps.
When i reinstalled it yesterday, SideStore wasn’t verified somehow, so i tried to verify is again, but apps i installed from SideStore worked. When i tried to verify SideStore again, “Verifying…” was only like 0,25 seconds and didn’t verify it.
