unable to connect to device

I am new to sidestore and just finished following the instructions on the website but when I had to refresh the sidestore app I get this error and I have toggled on and off the vpn aswell as the wifi multiple times yet no luck.

Try a different Wi-Fi connection. Some restrict the loopback vpn some how

unsure, i just followed the tutorial on https://sidestore.io/#get-started

that one uses sideserver* which has problems right now
try this way https://wiki.sidestore.io/guides/getting-started/#install-via-altserver-windowsmac which uses altserver and jitterbugpair (pairing file) and should hopefully be good to go

Try installing SideStore with altstore. First install Altstore than sideload SideStore

You can if you want to. Just note it’s early software still and will have bugs. Also I should clarify, altserver is the proper alternative method than sideserver. Sideserver is having issues with people which is why we tell people to use altserver.
