Pairing file you need to email the file to yourself or use iTunes to Transfer the file
Yeah but there is no file selection thing on the app
You need to reset it
I did
Yeah ik I did that nothing happened
Reboot the device
Even SideStore tells you to close the app
Resetting the file SideStore will ask to close the app
bro i did
it didnt ask
Because now you need to reboot
Or make sure it was deleted
By checking on the files app
where is it in the files app
ok well yeah i dont have that
What you don’t have? Need to be more specific
Access and organize your files no matter where they’re located — on your device, in the cloud, on an external drive or file server— with Files. The Recents view displays the files you’ve been working on lately in high-resolution thumbnails. Use the powerful Browse view to navigate folders, organize…
The devicepair
this is what im running into aswell
ive got the pairing file from jitterbug but idk what to do witb it now
should i move pairing file into the empty folder?
im trying to put it in the sidestore root directory
ill let you know if it works
cus that's where the devicepair file was originally in
No, you need to wait for sidestore to ask for it. It will do some adjustments while getting the file
you mean just wait for something to pop up while in sidestore?
i swear you guys need to just make an official video for installing this thing
oh really? i didn't notice the big yellow beta label next to the app
"...or im going back to altstore ;-;"
"i swear you guys need to just make an official video for installing this thing"
bro u sound like a karen
also pinging devs
lol
I was told to ping helpers and I did
Anyways I just switched back to altstore since its more stable
After rebooting the device it will ask you for the file
Or you will have to manually move the pairing file to the folder
@celest marlin @sinful pivot if moving the file doesn’t work rename it to this
i already found a fix for it
i installed sidestore through altserver
thanks for the help tho 👍
No problem
Another issue is when people don’t use altserver to install sidestore they will have a lot of random issues with sidestore
Is weird and is mentioned in the guides to use altserver to install it
i read the guide, altstore is mentioned only when windows is, and any mac user will automatically skip by it prolly
Yup correct, the issue is many other users don’t follow that or refuse to read the guides and ask questions instead. Also many users use sideloadly or scarlet which causes issues.
You can use altstore but it will take more space and if you chose that route you need to immediately refresh sidestore from within sidestore to avoid any issues.
I do have a tutorial with that tricky method hood but is 30min long and you guessed people won’t watch it.
It covers all the basic and how to properly install altserver.
maybe in a year or two when sidestore is not in beta anymore it will be much easier to install and use
It will, also as long as guides are follow should be ok 👍
It’s actually easy to install on macOS but idk what you mean it’s hard to use.
It’s just buggy
