Alright, try the install with AltServer, and it should ask you for the pairing file you generated

The pairing file gets embedded into the app, so you can’t reset it through SideStore. Really should fix that..

Nice! Glad it works now. For future reference if you ever consistently get “Couldn’t start AFC Server” or something similar, you probably need to regenerate your pairing file.

Just trying to install it a few times. Our AFC bits can bug out sometimes and retrying can help

Apple File Conduit - It’s how we can manage files on the device, and it’s the first thing we need to use before we can install apps

Altstore has to AFC to right ? why is it here so "buggy" and on altstore not?

AltStore has these issues as well, it’s just more prominent here because it’s all on device. AltServer is more reliable in optimal conditions, but SideStore’s generally better/easier to use

Yeah, we’ve got some fixes and such in the works for staging directory things as well, just nothing concrete yet

But tbh Ive been using altstore forever and never had such AFC issues but when I heard from SideStore I had to try it but It never worked / didnt get any help getting it running But now after trying it Ive to say it is so convenient to use (when it works) also the sources tab so good but to really be different the ui has to change more to look more like SideStore and not like Altstore with new colors I just wanted to say thank you for creating / workig on such a project (sorry for my typos ^^)

It could also just be the ipa itself that’s bad. It might work with AltStore or AltServer/SideServer instead, if that works then it’s something we can fix inside SideStore

Sideloadly seems to accept a lot more ipas than AltStore/AltServer, we’ve still wanted to look into what they’re doing differently

They either somehow autofix ipas, or we’re just too strict on ipas

No way they are auto fixing IPAs But how can you be to strict on IPAs?

Not fully sure on that, i’ll be honest, hehe. Most of our code is from Riley, and he had his reasons for doing things the way he did. I’ve never looked into Sideloadly enough to know how they differ

That app might not be supported on your iOS version. If the app opens but it crashes right away, the app is signed, but cannot run on your device for whatever reason (sadly iOS won't tell us)

Apple. Plus if people could connect through cellular, they could connect to your phone from anywhere if they stole your pairing file, and install/delete apps and all sorts of other nasty things.

You have to refresh SideStore immediately after installing, otherwise it’ll expire early. The issue is with AltServer

It working for 2 days sounds like you didn’t refresh it, as i’ve experienced the same behavior with AltServer signed apps
