It was an unmitigated disaster of a mission. Felt like a bug ambush the entire time LOL. Had 2 randoms join us. 1 of which dropped an orbital on our foreheads and then returned to citizen life. the leg isn't a weak point until the armor is knocked off, they did reduce the damage the railgun does to heavy body parts
it's specifically weakpoints, like the head, or the joints, that it still does just as much damage to
The Railgun was overperfoming in it's ease of use and convenience. We therefore made it so that the safe mode of the Railgun is not able to penetrate heavier armor, but the unsafe overcharged mode is still able to penetrate the heavier armor. In addition the damage that the Railgun does to massive body parts is reduced, meaning you need to land headshots and other specific weakpoint shot for it to have maximum efficiency.

I didn't like it before this patch but the chaining + unlimited ammo feels good now. I'm usually running Hard solo but ran into one other arc user and we were in a good rhythm of alternating shots.

The cooldown for disposable is a fraction of the time of the recoilless. I think that’s it. High risk if you die with the recoilless. Until players get good disposable is the way to go. The big I don’t understand is the machine gun turret vs the gatling gun turret.

I think it takes serious teamwork. Mech takes out waves of lightweight trash mobs and the team can focus on the heavies. Without comms and coordination it could easily fall apart.

Orbital Gas can potentially prevent bots from flaring to call in drop ships.
Also, I hadn't even thought to use a sniper against them, but paired with Scout armor it does extremely well. Even on the harder difficulties.

@spring night LOL, his tips are very helpful though.
Ya definitely can't fight bots the same way as bugs, especially at difficulties above Challenging. My main take away is the need to stealth as much as possible and limiting drop ship reinforcements. Not wasting ammo by shooting at the armored parts of bots, which means using more precise weaponry to hit their orange or red weak points. Also, Autocannon is so versatile that I find it to be a must carry in almost every situation: It can take out most heavy enemies with 1 or 2 shots, and destroy buildings. Orbital Railcannon is more efficient for Titans though.
