Barista class A very social outgoer gives off good energy to be around

+Moderate-low Vitality buff for MP servers
+Can craft water slightly faster than normal due to her training
+can craft Coffee on day 1

-Has to drink 1-3 coffee's a day due to being addicted
-Can not drink normal water

Could be a good replacement for a Chef class people keep asking for lol.

Maybe a cool idea for a class

Fun idea, but water affecting the class differently makes no sense.

starbucks employee's are barista's

#

its a trade. instead of people always asking for a chef that can make water faster.. why not make a barista that is legit only for water. not Every single food item. and has drawbacks. just like every class has

#

I also suggest if we make a Chef class. it takes longer to make water. due to it being a perfectionist so it boils it longer.

#

but from the sounds of it they dont wanna make more classes lol

i do think that only 1 "food utility" is necessary, would rather have more unique playstyles catered to. Why not "Agent" who gains benefits with all pistols and heavy stealth focus? Like less health gained from healing items, but quicker disinterest from zombies. Or "Larper" who gets benefits with spears and heavy armor, but more food poisoning pressure and less social vit gain + output to nonlarpers. I personally think each weapon should have a class

Look. I'm not saaying I disagree

#

But I disagree

#

DO YOU REALISE HOW MANY PLAYSTYLES THERE ARE

#

D:

#

I suppose if we were to try and hit most generic playstyles, then fair enough. But it does kinda hit the point where you go "is this class even needed?"

I think people just reslly want a base mom class because they have that one friend who does that…

yeah, I semi agree with this. When it comes to cooking it is to powerful of a skill to have start with anything higher than base. Even +5 to cooking means 5 closer to grilled meat which is a huge advantage in the rng department.

Having a starting class for each weapon/tool though is different because everyone has their favoured attack style and far less people go for meta when it comes to the weapon they enjoy using.

Of course, always PGs or MGs, and 'fun' players (me for e.g)
I personally think, the way it is right now with designated classes works good for AL.
Red may have other ideas, it is what it is if that's the case, it's his mod and I support him.
As a ardent 7D player, having a fair amount ||over 11k hours|| of time in here, and then played a lot of other games with character building concepts, I'd like to think I've got a decent idea around it (I know others will also, with varying opinions of course), so I'll give my two cents and help suggest additional ideas, or balancing ideas as required.

I do agree that premade classes would better suit the game, but im also of the opinion more classes is good aswell

I like the idea of other classes but this class to me seems extremely odd. And other then the forced coffee mechanic doesnt feel unique enough. Not to mention it wouldnt be played outside of MP.

Coffee addiction would have to be implemented with side effects.

And coffee in the real world can potentially dehydrate you due to its diuretic affects if you drink it alot.

I think most "Classes" Should be based on the most Common Traders/Workers you would find... I mean, if you look at Project Zomboid, they have... what... 22 "Occupations" - then further personal trait changes within that you can make the YOU... (though, to @zenith verge's Comment - yes, most would just go the Meta builds)

But, when you're playing in a group of players - having a large variety of options - even like 10 different ones - would give pause for the group to think "Okay, who's going the Farmer, who's going the Cop, who's doing X" and go from there.

And with the idea that Barrista's Benefit from coffee?? I actually know 2 Barristas that DON'T actually drink coffee - they just make it. (One hates the taste, and the other chooses not to drink it over other stuff)
