Replace the nail gun with a bronze hammer and I could get behind this... a Nail gun would be a bit too much

Double stamina regen from coffee.? Less stamina usage for construction tools? Like next to none? Balance by still takes forever

There's a joke in here about getting a buff from standing around watching one member of the party do actual work that i'm maybe not completely willing to make. perhaps the construction worker has a recipe for a special traffic cone that diverts wandering hordes into silly bottlenecks for no reason.

give them a planning tool to start as well so they can build off the bat, or maybe higher yield from trees and stones to help facilitate building?

Honestly I think every class should have something unique like improvised lockpick or free cop cars. Maybe let them use less material when using planning tool. Like 7 instead of 10 of a resource.

or
-able to make pipe bombs that do extra damage to blocks
-sledge power attack AoE
-gets extra social from standing around with other construction workers

personally, I don't think EVERY class needs something uber special. I mean the fighter is the most basic bitch class in DnD but is also one of the most played because it does the basic stuff, but it does it so well it is fun. Making the basics better works just as well in making a good, fun, class as having something interesting. Hell, interesting doesn't mean good either. The ranger in DnD is interesting and tries to stand out, but fails and is rarely picked because, although interesting, it is not as fun as the others much of the time. Again, going back to fighter being one of the most played and yet is the most basic bitch with very little interesting about it.

maybe the construction worker gets a discount on materials when doing construction. like maybe when upgrading to the nailed planks it's only 9 wood and there's a chance that it doesn't use the nail.

#

or maybe when they use a hammer it needs one less hit to do the upgrade

I think, each class should have + and -. Like the increased loot time for cop. It's boring if a class only has positive effects.
