the Escape from Tarkov mod on nexus mods will be having an update soon where only the weapons can be downloaded and it would be epic to get those weapons and animations into Afterlife! the caliber changes are such a breath of freshair and the animations are smooth as butter!

Aren't there 45 ammo types? It might be a bit over the top :|
Varies from hollowpoint to AP and everything in between but able to brake down small calibers, medium and large to reload them into a round you need. I've been playing the experimental for about a month now and the animations with accurate reload goes hard.
im sure they could easily be swapped to regular vanilla ammo if the ammo is overwhelming

tbh i was looking at it yesterday and it said it was an overhaul and probably not compatible so i didnt bother
ive been leaning more towards using Izayo's new all-in-one
the overhaul isn't i've tried everything to swapping code and eliminating exttra BS but they do have a weapon and animation file coming out with the full release
since we're currently using their A21 weapons atm
always a huge fan of izayo and their 2.2v is great
kinda tempted to do it for next version since it's save-breaking anyway 👀
but it will be a fair bit of work re-integrating stuff
would love to see it, huge fan of his new version of the usp-45
the new animations they're using are decent as well
yea thats probably the main pull, the fact that they arent using the build in hold types, but proper anims
im sure that makes the implementation alot easier 🤣
Unless each of those weapons have a purpose other than variety for variety's sake I don't think it's needed and would probably hurt the overall experience. Honestly the amount of guns we have now is too much. Without developing the threats and tactics used by zombies more guns and ammo is just more clutter.

first time with izayo for me, is his latest one have better sounds and RPGs? some gun sounds are a little undercooked or just cut out too quickly and sounds weird

no need for realism when i already added grenade launchers on most SMGs

instead of implementing all the guns, afterlife could just pick a few out of the dozens and implement them, without having to worry about bloating
I'd be down for it, there are a couple that could fit in nicely without heavy bloat and keeping with the vanilla calibers

Usp45, 1911, ump45, vector 45 those are all the .45 weapons

I don't know if it's as simple as a few xml lines or do you have to go over them in unity
start with a less powerful sniper and work your way up to the big boys
If they're just xml wiring, maybe it's possible
why would i need weaker sniper if i have strong neck breaking sniper 🏃♂️
ive tried quite a few xml edits, im no professional so I couldve done with wrong but still had no luck. I couldnt even get the injected in the game even with the whitelist.
I think there is far too much overlap
Afterlife has weight and many more factors to properly integrate the guns into (action skill as well I believe ?) So it'd take some digging. Right now I'm not free from my duty yet, still dozens of guns to finish adding, item animations and etc. before I can begin to venture out and see how possible it is to make compatible the guns into other overhauls.

I wouldn’t if I were you, there is a lot less variety in the new pack I’ve used it a ton in vanilla and imo it would feel like quite a downgrade from what you have. Maybe wait for the next izayo update with more weapons maybe
I don't need dozens of weapons. Just 1 per type and tier should be sufficient.
Maybe 2 for shotgun to have a choice: small mag and high damage or auto and low damage.

For the realism pundits one of the up sells on EFT is reloading guns that are 1 round/shell at a time reload authentically. It's nice reloading just the 1 round in a revolver instead of uselessly dumping all of them.
