Cap it high enough you can repair it a few times and thats it. 1000 ish qual would be high enough. Should give about 5-6 repairs before its trash.
Can you elaborate? I've been in a world for 20some days, repaired my tools more times than I care to count, but never noticed any stat or quality drop on them?
each time u repair they lose a small amount of quality

You lose quality equal to the durability repaired.

You've never had your stone axe break and you can't repair it?
Can't say I've experienced that, no. Not even with quality 2.
That's... a problem
Might be because I often craft new tools when I get a level-up to crafting specific things, maybe I "skipped past" the issue by accident.
Although ... I use Bone Knives to smack zombies after they die and I've seen decrease in damage they take after some time ... Despite dropping off damage, I have still not seen the Quality or Damage numbers change on the knife. I guess I'm facing several bugs without realising?
I will try and document it today after work, on bone knives vs zombies specifically.
geez, guy complaining of not enough pain in the ass difficulty. throw it away if you don't like it. the game is challenging enough. I found my first firearm only on day 12 in the snow biome and none in the forest (not counting pipe sheit)
