#Option for map coords for server hosts

We really need the in game map coords back. When the server crashes, any vehicle you were on can be a full click away and you can't find it half the time especially cross country. Having the coords in game helps the admins provide us the coords so that we can get our vehicle back since they don't stick with the player on crash.

So my other thought is that once we get our map made we can literally see our location changing in realtime. So what is the harm in having the coords showing as well? What am I not seeing?

I think there's a miscommunication going on here.

The players needs to see the coordinates on the map so that they can go to their vehicle after a server crash. This helps the admins when they post the coordinates of our vehicles. By disabling this feature for the players you are now punishing them for server crashes. If TFP made it so that the vehicle actually stayed with the player on server crash then this issue would be mute.

Thus

  1. what is the point of server admins being able to see the coords and post them if we the player can't see the coords on our maps?

  2. Players can already see their real time position on the map, what was the reason to take away their ability to see the coords then?

Punish players twice for server crashes is bad. On the other hand it also doesn't make sense to show the player marker on the map without a GPS tracker in your pocket.

I love the idea for adding in a GPS tracker. Infact I've played on modded servers where they had them. Regardless I'm just looking at many things with the casual player in mind. IRL I can read paper map coordinates, yet currently my in game character can make a map but is too stupid to know coordinates? Really?
