#Apiaries to farm honey

So I was thinking that the current way to farm honey is inconsistent and a bit annoying after you get past the early days. You constantly have to chop down trees and this makes it that you have to constantly shift your "honey farm" further away from base. What about apiaries?

The way I see it we could build apiaries and have them surrounded with flowers. Apiary in the centre and farm plots all around on a block level lower. If it's surrounded with goldenrod it produces regular honey.
Chrysanthemums, on the other hand, make it so that it produces manuka honey.

You could also be required to find queens or drones, possibly both, for the apiary to start working.

I think this way makes it so there's some consistency with the honey, just like having raincatchers to produce clean water.

Would be great if you could make a tree trunk into a bee hive if you planted flowers nearby

When farming is implemented herbal antibiotics would probably be an easier way to maintain infection.

but yea I get that choppin trees to get honey is a bit funny because realistically you would jsut set up an apiary yes

#

although manuka is simply more valuable so if you could just plant chrysanthemums to get manuka then everyone would just do that

Find a rarer queen bee for manuka?

But yeah that's a predicament
