There seems to be little substance to it, with most of the game being padded out with pointless fetch quests

There's supposed to be a story, but all I got in nearly 9 hours of gameplay was a couple of disconnected monologues

I could have read multiple novels in that time (depending on the novels)

I would have had more fun reading a novel, and it would have been cheaper

The story isn't the best part of itr, I think it's more of the guns and enemies they got right.

The enemy ai is alot better than anything I've seen in any other vr game. Although slider ai, and spawn ai could be better.

I still enjoyed itr, it's the first vr game that I ever played with a story

Stalker, with mods, is honestly still my gold standard for AI. It helps that that game has the A-Life system to make the world feel like a living place

My personal favourite STALKER game/mod/etc is OGSR with Gunslinger

Gunslinger is an engine rework which makes the gunplay really good

OGSR is pretty much a vanilla+ Shadow of Chernobyl experience, which I prefer to Anomaly. It still has some fancy graphics and greatly improved gunplay

I'd definitely recommend it
