In case you do not know, recoil is nonsensical in Escape from Tarkov. A 4-round burst will have insane recoil, but then it stabilises

Aiming down sights in Tarkov is not very good because of the camera recoil you incur (you cannot tell where your bullet laser is going).

The laser sights also make your shots more accurate.

The gun has a random spread stat and the laser decreases it. This is why you can see pros running guns with three lasers.

Intel 8th Gen came out in 2017. The PC probably has an 8700k... point is, it is completely outdated and you should be able to get a newer and better CPU. The 12700k costs £250 and is 1.7x faster.

Hm, you know, this PC is actually quite cheap... Considering it comes with a case and peripherals and such. Personally, I would feel iffy about buying 6-year-old hardware... I suppose I should not be looking at hardware which is 1.5x faster than the pre-built

The headset is as compatible as any steamvr headset. There is some functionality missing from the OpenXR side that they are working on but it is awesome. If the Index stays compatible this headset will. It won’t be long until Varjo releases the VR-4. I think in the next 3 years

Path of Survival in Escape from Tarkov was frustrating... granted, it may have been my fault for doing it simultaneously with a 'body shots only' quest. You know how you always get shot from who knows where in Tarkov? Well, all you need to have fun is equipment.

With a magnifying scope, you can spot and shoot at scavs from the distance at which they spot you. Scavs are happy to shoot at you from 100 metres away with an AK and land no shots. If three of them do it, they have a chance of hitting your leg or something.

If you get an SVD with a 4x scope, however, you can shoot them before they can ever hope to inflict any damage. Simply scanning across where the gunfire is coming from with the scope is usually enough to spot the muzzle flashes and quickly eliminate the threat.

Now, shooting people is fun, like in STALKER.

In terms of CQB, you can point-fire spray and it is very effective and very satisfying — I kill players by doing this, too!

Overall, Tarkov is ultimately similar to Ghosts of Tabor, and the 'hardcore' one-shot-kills were my fault for not wearing armour and using scav guns
