I also On my first stock which is a magni plus. I don't have any others to Compare it to. But I actually like it. It's a little loud and clunky. Well it's a lot loud and clunky. i find i great for smg's. I'm curious if anybody uses there for a handgun I keep my right controller. Magnet locked in and put My left arm holding my controller under the front of my stock. Like you would if you had a flashlight. Handgun It keeps my left hand free if I need to grab it real quick but it holds the stocks steady while I stare down the sights of my glock.

the spines mounts attach to the controller ring which isn't very strong so I'd avoid that or any other stock that's similar, the magnistock+ from etsy or glistco.com is like $20 more and is much better and if you want the best stock for tabor the freedomstock is amazing but either of those is legit

Nope. The bowk has length adjustment without cutting pipe, has on the fly vertical adjustment, a cheek rest, and completely different controller attachment

I removed my needless extra sling connector and used the default wrist straps and some hair ties to improvise some knuckle straps. I'm really enjoying the Glistco Magni stock +, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a magnetic stock that doesn't break the bank.

It actually works really well for all of that. It's very easy to disconnect from the stock and the sling keeps it close and upright. When I switch back to the stock the magnets make it fast and easy.

You dont have to disconnect from the stock at all, the stock is part of the controller. There is no "searching for the cups", you just life one hand infront of the other and they snap together without hesitation.

Pressing the gunstock firmly to engage the shoulder stock isn't an issue.

That said, Freedomstock also has incredible mobility, climbing ladders, looting, throwing grenades, its all seamless. Also, its the only full sized gunstock on the market that you can use pump action shotguns with.

The Freedomstock is a brilliant design. I went the Magni stock route just because I was able to do it for so cheap (about $40) and I really like having a cheekrest.

gunstock cal is likely to have a user set it to a worse state, you can absolutely achieve a good single class calibration with it right now, its just annoying

ive got bolt action, sniper, assault, shotgun and SMG calibrated in my current savegame

only while starting to set it up, once its all done it goes back to normal and you dont need to touch anything

thats one of the setup issues, you have to be very aware of each step because a bug might undo something and mess things up

I've just gotten an X16, it's fun, adds a bit of immersion, and for FPS you can kinda feel where the shot is coming from, but keep in mind it's basically a bunch of phone vibrators so it's more of a rumble/buzz than a bit/kick feeling

For what it's worth since getting the Forcetube I don't play Ghosts without it, the vest I sometimes put it on, sometimes don't bother

Simply find a PVC stock design you like online, and then take the PVC couplings for the stock that will hold the controllers, heat them up in boiling water until the PVC is nice and soft (approx 20mins or so).

Then just push your controllers into the soft PVC to mold the PVC to the controller and create a controller cup (that your controller can easily slide in/out of).

Alternatively, yeah there are also some other premade options online like @jovial cypress mentioned, although they are getting harder to find these days.

Yeah, having started with real guns, it feels so "off" to have just controllers in the air with nothing connecting them. But a nice stock with a good cheek weld and it feels great. Ironically the use of the Forcetube does decrease my accuracy a tiny bit but the immersion is worth it

I think it varies game by game. Ghosts is so into realism that I rarely play without the Forcetube. There's nothing quite like feeling the kick off a suppressed rifle when you're firing it! But, it's not a huge recoil. Maybe akin to a .22 (if even that) so if you're used to actual recoil it's not there yet

I have the Protube and I love it, but I got it so I could easily add the Forcetube haptics. I used an earlier version of the Magnistock and it was excellent too

The version I had didn't allow for adjustment in the middle but the new one does so I'd imagine it's very similar to the Protube

The magnets felt a lot stronger on the Magtube, get em close enough and they'd pull right on, the Protube took a little more muscle memory but it "locks" a bit differently, it's somewhat angled so you can pull back against it into your shoulder

One thing I found was I really didn't like the stock at first (mainly played Pop One when I first got VR and it just got in the way) and I put it away for like a year before trying it with Ghosts. After a few hours playing with it and getting the muscle memory I've rarely played without a stock...so there can be a bit of adjustment but worth it.

Answer your question, yes the stock can be removed and the original battery cover can be reinstalled onto the controller.

Regarding how long it took to come in, Im actually the guy that makes the stock lol.

But to answer your question, every stock is made to order, which does require processing and construction time. Currently I have a 3-8 day production timeframe.

Every order also comes with free 2-3 Day USPS priority shipping (in the US) so once the stock has shipped it will be at your door 2-3 business days later

Makes it feel a lot more like the real thing to me, more natural to aim etc. Also very immersive. I think it makes long range shots sharper, and allows for very consistent movements/muscle memory. Cons: makes looting slower, same with using meds etc. Trade off is well worth it for me, even for the immersion alone. Makes me feel like my real shooting just translates. I still do runs without a stock sometimes and don't notice much difference in outcome, but I enjoy the stock much more

they are great for immersion, but the ability to aim like you do in real life is a pretty big accuracy improvement too. 4 points of stability is quite a bit better than 0. plus, if you get a good stock, you can adjust it to fit your body perfectly and you will also gain a muscle memory on many important actions which will likely increase your overall speed
