Just FYI for all of the gunstock talk here... effective does not mean massive btw... it is VR... there is no recoil and lighter can be better/more responsive, but less weight/feel/real life impact... so there are trade-offs.

You can be just as (or more depending on game type) effective with a QuickAim Stock like the images below... as you can a full ProTube or Magni type stock... and for a tiny fraction of the cost... or even free if you (or a friend) can print one yourself.

A gunstock in VR is just about getting stability vs free floating hands... the more pts you can "lock down" the more "accurate" you will generally be, but the trade-offs with more "pts" is larger size and usually weight.

You can't take a ProTube in to Population One or the like very easily/naturally due to the fast paced, but a ProTube rocks in a Contractors or the like where it is more straight military sim.

(already have tracked pistols and holsters, but this fit more a training need than a gameplay need)

It does exactly what you need... line up your hands when you want it and free and easy when you don't... no lost time in and out of a Mag cup... also variable on where you place your hand along the bar... from rifle to pistol... and as cost effective as you can get, particularly if you have a 3D printer and can print your own

The Knuckle Based version uses bungee cord from Amazon and has a TPU.

Strictly Materials wise anywhere from $1 to $4 or so

The standard "retail" calculator for 3D prints... is $1 per print hour and $.10 per gram material

You can also unscrew the barrel in 20 secs if you want to play something else

Its not 3 points of contact, but it lets you loot, use pistols, and be much more flexible than bigger/more expensive stocks.

Thats the 10" barrel attached by the way, not the 12", I was just doing pistol runs.

The 12" works with all the bigger guns in GoT, which is a bonus. Like not like for like, but close enough that the game lets you grab the forehand etc

For all those wondering about being afraid of bulkiness when looting etc. with bottom mounted stocks. This is JbahrVR streaming with one and if you have it slinged correctly, it's smooth as butter to transition

I've streamed with it in the past and had no issues. The sling was the main factor in causing tracking problems as the nylon ones were large and would hang perfectly in front of the rings, but with the new swivel mount system that problem is completely gone. The controllers sit at an angle on the stock so there's never full obstructions

So I had my VR setup in one spot and never had issues. Moved my room around and it was completely flipped essentially. Had no issues aside from definitely running out of cord, but I tested my gunstock then and worked great. Inevitably went back to how I originally had it, using same holes for mounts and my arms would just magically fade away from me.

Might've been a bug with Tabor but seemed to stop when I uninstalled the magnet mounts

I'm gonna try it again and worst case attempt to calibrate it again, I was just generally curious as I didn't believe magnets would have any affect as (to my knowledge) it relies solely on visual sensors that I'm not obstructing.

They are actually my favorite controller cups. And the stock works with most if not all the assault rifles in the game. And some subs.

The bend point you get in the magni stock is really nice. The only reason I like the magetube better is because I can bend it on the fly. It’s hard to do it on the fly with the magni stock but most the time when you make the adjustments you need it will work with most guns.

We've used it and it does partially get in the way only for certain guns, but doesn't ever restrict you from manipulating guns. You just need to find the sweet spot

The LoPRO will be your best bet if you're 6'0 and under. We have a butt extension 90% ready just need to test the final iteration of it and it'll be compatible for players up to 6'5

I can vouch for the sanlaki sleek, which is the brother of the original, where I believe alot of these variants such as Olen are coming from. The competitors look cool but unless you use them barebones they're barely practical in a game without stock calibration like this because the gun models they choose to market are bulky and eye catching but mean nothing in VR. Not hating anyone's hustle but after research I went with the Sanlaki sleek and I love it. 10/10 would recommend.

I have the sanlaki sleek, i can't recommend it for this game in particular. Or any of the top magnetic types of gunstocks. The bar just doesn't match up with all the various guns in this game on the fly (or even stock).

I did receive my 3Daptive stock from etsy today so i'll run it thru the paces and see how it works with GoT.

Can't wait to get the gunstock calibrator in-game so we can finally use those OlenVR / Sanlaki stocks.

@hexed stone did just fine with a simple and effective QuickAim. Took a little getting used to/muscle memory, but it did the job.

@lethal sinew I set my pitch offset to -4 and use the 2 handed mode recommended for Population One. Not the full stock in this game. It's amazing. Immediate snap to target. Strafing and engaging at distance is cake. Only issue I have is that some weapons, stock or not, deviate in my left hand. SKS, luty, etc.. assault rifles are great but those small weapons and SKS/rifle are buggy and unreliable for me. But yea, definitely don't use a full size stock on here just yet. Can't wait for calibration 👍
