ok so general question . recommendation a stock for a seated player in aus? 🙂
@dire carbonit contain cocaine? should at those prices lol
I feel like a stock might be a bit cumbersome while seated. Maybe the virtual stock setting might be a good middle ground. Or check out the istock as it’s a pretty small one controller stock.
ikr
i mean look at this shit https://www.protubevr.com/en/product/168-forcetube-haptic-gunstock.html
Ive been really happy with this, both grips can easily detach for looting in tabor, and the long magnetic barrel makes all the guns feel good , even the side grips you can mirror
Sanlaki magnetic gunstock for Quest 1 and Quest 2. This VR rifle will help you improve your aim in Contractors, Onward, Pavlov, and other VR fps games. It comes with magnetic mounts so you can easily reload. You can also mount closer for SMGs and farther for rifles and snipers. Sanlaki Magnetic Stock - Meta Quest 1, 2, Pro, Valve Index, Pico 4
@oak geodei am finding vstock to be very helpful but i can lower arm rests out of way for general gun sway motions i just find it hard to keep a steady setting with both arms unless i use the rests at full hight and then i keep hitting my elbows when nnot aiming lol
what is the best valve index gun stock
Hey everyone!
Just wondering what Gunstock or Style of Gunstock people are using and prefer?
There are certainly no lack of options..
- Mount: Top Mag or Bottom Mag (or no Mag)
- Stability Pts: 1pt (Single hand), 2pt (Two Hand), 3pt (Two Hand plus Buttstock), 4pt (Two Hand Plus Buttstock and Cheekstock)
- 3D Printed Entirely or Metal Tubing
- Vertical or Vertical and Horizontal use
- Fixed Pts or Adjustable Pts
Here are some links to makers to check out.
Sanlaki
- One of the Original OG Makers and solid option
- https://sanlaki.shop/
@agile osprey
- Maker of the Spine
- https://www.olenvr.com
ProTube (most universally recognized name)
iStock - A new contender making the rounds
- Buttstock only (free air off-hand)
There are also free options out there if you have a 3D Printer
I (MrTass) also make a WIDE range of gunstock options (3D printer hobbyist)
- QuickAim (1pt with Extension to align 2nd pt free off-hand to)
- MiniMag (2pt Bottom Mag Gunstock)
also can be used for Dual Wield or Driving Wheel Alignment in horizontal
- MagStock+ (The most versatile and customizable system out there (IMHO))
Make a 1pt to 4pt Gunstock and anything in between
- NEW Quick Shot (Mid-Split 1 Mag Model)
Can expand with a Butt Stock or Convert to a QuickAim
There is also always the DIY method with some PVC or a Stick/Rod and some Toilet Paper rolls
- it isn't exactly stylish, but it will get the job done. 😉
- https://www.reddit.com/r/PavlovGame/comments/jhtg6v/10_diy_quest_2_gun_stock_easy_and_customizable/
i mean i actually saw that and instantly was like "oo shit thats actually pretty cool .. pretty cool " lol
i mean the price tag is not pretty
@thick hatchappreciate the link dump 🙂
Good to know what is out there... I try to stay well researched as both a user and maker of such things haha
Prices can very from $ to $$$$... but function is relatively all the same....
Some choose to focus on looks, others on the most functionality.
- Some of the better get a bit of both going. 😉
im hard rn
@thick hatch as someone who is clueless to all this its helpful asf , annd yeah its good to know theres a variety out there 🙂
@dire carbonwe can see your spout o..O
Happy to answer any questions and guide where appropriate depending on Price Point and Features you are looking for.
Also largely depends on the types of games you play... full out military shooters (Contractors and Onward) vs quick action like (Pop One and Breachers)
Tabor can be a bit of both with all of the looting needs... but certainly leans more classic Military Shooter.
Here are a few versions of a QuickAim
- The goal of the QuickAim style is to be as quick and free as possible, while still providing a way to sync/line up/steady the two hands when aiming.
The Index one is a WIP and just pending verification of angles (I don't own an Index)
I make a Knuckle version that works with the Quest 1, 2, and Pro (and likely 3 if they don't change the base too much)
I am debating and will likely also make one (similar to the index one) for the PSVR 2
They are quick, cheap, easy, and functional to use.
A great intro if you don't want to spend massive amounts of money on a Full (and sometimes unwieldy) system.
Got damn $80 for a stock
You can also print your own of the Knuckle version for the Quest Line
- I posted 3 bed size/length files. Including the ever common 220x220 (Ender 3's)
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5935551
Even if you don't do the Elastic and Back Knuckle Pad... it is still fully functional and useable.
HUGE Shout-out to Chefschweisser for his WONDERFUL Design.
The grip he made works with Quest 1, 2, and Pro... and likely will work with even Quest 3 (fingers crossed)
I reached out and made the following MrTass QuickAim Gunstock modification/add-on/extension to his grips.
V1 requires a LARGE Print Bed
V2 fits on a Kywoo Slim 240x240 at a 45 degr...
you think thats alot look at this shit https://www.protubevr.com/en/product/168-forcetube-haptic-gunstock.html
Alternatively you can print your own for FREE or $25 plus shipping for a MrTass Knuckle Pro QuickAim ;P
Certainly not as fancy, but gets the job done.
The Modus R is probably one with the most personnalization and low price for that kind of stock its on ETSY. No magnet so it feels more natural.
i dont see the price
All the way at the bottom...
WHAT THE HELL
Part of the reason... is the additional technology being used for the "ForceTube" portion (haptics)... the rest is "name" recognition and usage by the "pros" in competitive scenes.
I would buy if it had MORE RECOIL.
Gunstocks in VR should first and foremost assist with Aim and Stability.
Second is "feel" / realism of gun mechanic use
Third is looks on camera
im speechless
So yea... the range on a Gunstock is FREE (3D Printed or Homecrafted from toilet paper rolls) to $400+ and everything in between.
but most "full" 3pt Gunstocks will run you $80 to $150
and what is 80 or 150 bucks in euros?
72 to 135 Euros
hmm a bit cheaper sounding but if i will be honest i originally wanted these stocks for into the radius since its already a pretty immersive experience but now that i see the price i will probably not buy it
You can make your own also... a very common practice is .. with a stick/rod and a couple toilet paper rolls haha or with PVC
https://www.reddit.com/r/PavlovGame/comments/jhtg6v/10_diy_quest_2_gun_stock_easy_and_customizable/
While not exactly stylish it can get the job done haha
ill probably try to get the provolver with feedback since i can get a cheap attatchment that is meant to make it also kind of a gun stock
alr we got a good one hopefully this aint a scam
I think someone shared this previously. Lovely mod:

YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT ...
I bought this last week, coming in the mail next week. I'll let you guys know how it runs:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/911983863
I previously used the Sanlaki but it's not aligned with guns in GoT so I bought this to work similar to a protube
just tie the wrist straps together
I would think grenade throwing becomes an issue with that setup haha
Fixed length vs more modular/and adjustable
thats basically what the istock is
just use both hands
i have an irrational hatred of the istock
I feel this. I saw it and hated it. But logically I know I shouldn’t.
Thinking of buying a stock. Budget is around $50 or a bit upwards. Any recommendations? I use quest 2 controllers.
Material doesn’t matter btw. Half stock could work, preferably not
mamut(200$)>protube(148$)>Istock(50$) prices in usd
Istock looks good, do halfstocks still help with aim? How good are they compared to normal ones
Missed USB chord! = $4~free
I cant say, I see a lot of people love them for breachers/tabor
my list is quality/manufacturing based
Huh
https://youtu.be/4dlH-F7cRv4 @forest girder
Ty I’ll check it out
I make a 2pt MiniMag... Base set with the previous adapters (use velcro and halo rings) is $35 plus shipping
I make a Knuckle Grip version that is compatible with the Quest 1, 2, & Pro for $45
Etsy (MrTass3DPrintShop)
there are some other options you can find on Etsy also.
Personally I find my QuickAim perfect for Breachers.
What would you recommend for GoT
Of what you make
keep in mind mamut is making a splitstock for tabor. but it will likely be awhile before that releases
Of what I make... Probably the MiniMag.
I like to keep bar along my off-hand/forearm on my reload hand.
Then I reattach near the body. I find it helps keep tabs on where the bar is and makes it easier/quicker between.
@thick hatch what’s this? https://www.etsy.com/se-en/listing/1188174217/mrtass-magstock-fully-customizable-and?click_key=330195ce0e8775f16f0975c08eb1218f22bbe7fd%3A1188174217&click_sum=8d0ba4a9&ref=shop_home_recs_4&sts=1
Also why does it cost $1.3 dollars
Or well 13 SEK
That is my fully Customizable System.
You can buy it as a bundle or you can buy individual pieces and parts to build your own... so the lowest price items is a bolt for $1
Generally I would advise the Full Bundle which is $75 plus shipping
What’s in the full bundle
Essentially everything you need to have a 3pt Gunstock.
2 Mag Adapters
2 Large Rails
3 Small Rails
1 Small QuickAim
and a Butt Stock
I find this amusing
You can also use it to make a MiniMag (2pt) or even QuickAim (1pt)
The mags are strong enough t.
Quick aim does not go against your shoulder right?
What is that from?
Istock
Correct neither does MiniMag... you could also make a 3pt QuickAim option if you wanted a butt stock, but free off-hand
Basically it means you have a 4 points of contact for stability
2 Hands, 1 Shoulder, and 1 Cheek
Alright
I’m currently looking at the magnistock plus
What are your guys opinions
I don’t want to spend more than 100 and want to be able to use sidearms easy so it would need to be something with the magnets
@surreal quarry there are a lot of options out there.
Check out the @agile osprey Spine also
that is a favorite of jBahrVR
That’s a lot of obstruction on the tracking rings
I don’t recommend any over the top stocks especially for quest
Nothing stopping me 🙂
got a model for it?
how good is the sidewinder by kobra?
Good
These are damn good
Also had 3d print files for people to use and print their own if they want but the real ones they sell are all anodized aluminum or injection mold joints, tubes are carbon fiber of course
What’s that
mamut is making a new split stock in collaboration with tabor, its rapidly changeable to facilitate using different guns midraid
Are there any early pics
nope
Any idea how much
the normal mamut stock is 200$~ usd, so I imagine a new one would be around the same price, maybe 250$
Dam
Jesus
Not wo much with the aim itself, but being able to brace the buttstock does seem to help with locking your backsight in place which makes sight picture consistency a lot simpler.
Are there gun stocks for pico 4?
Protube makes cups for everything
ive got my popcorn.
If it works... it works
it just needs a couple of ajustments
The problems with designs like that is the lack of adjustability, you need a lot of adjustability in GoT
What's a good gunstock to use with the rift s?
Magtube by protubeVR
Can anyone play
I like mine !
we don't have any of those issues 🤙
are u the real deal
you bet yer sweet buns
Here's some of the key points of what we found to be important for a gunstock:
- no tracking issues (of course)
- headset clearance so you can ADS and not hit your headset on your stock
- gunstock calibrator helps tremendously (contractors did it best)
- comfortable/non-bulky sling
- range of attaching your controller to your stock (multiple weapon compatibility on the fly)
- dismounting and remounting your hands to your stock as easy as possible (zero fumbling to find the stock)
- enough weight for immersion, not too much weight for fatigue
This is all personal experience and through feedback from dozens and dozens of users (including myself) and high-level players
If anyone else has something to add to this, please do!
Agree on all points
hows the shipping to other countries? i live in sweden
$45... yikes
Usually about 24 to 45 USD. Wait times are super long right now though
blame USPS for that one, you don't wanna know UPS prices lol
id love a spine if it weren't for that shipping
This is our rates for shipping to stockholm on our backend system, our website defaults to a base shipping rate for outside the US sometimes
Dallas Texas
alright
Wait I missed it in that screen cap, here's what they paid:
How much is shipping in the us?
but it's a 15 day wait 🙄
Free for UPS ground, then upgraded shipping is extra, $24 and up
Alr
How much to ship to Dallas Texas
Anyone have decent kinda cheap Gun stock
Basically your free hand is still hanging out in the air so you're still free aiming with no third point of contact which means your front sight remains unsteady.
But the butstock kinda 'fixes' the rear sight in place which means you can focus on just aligning the front sight rather than both the front and rear at the same time.
So aim itself isn't really improved but since it improves the ease and ability to maintain a consistently aligned sight picture.
@forest girder
What is "kinda cheap"?
maybe like $60-$70
Ty
No worries 🙂
Free 99
Oo bet
where the 3in1 foldable one ?
Looking for a gunstock, im wanting to know whether the wolverine is any good?
@agile osprey I got your lopro and the quality is great but I swear I saw somewhere you were going to sell a longer pipe or an extension? The only other thing I'm wanting to do is find a way to extend the shoulder stock out more.
Im 3d printing an attachment for the quest 2 controller that lets you attach a nerf stock, my quest arrives next thursday i'll let yall know how it goes
Made this for maybe like 5$? Channels trippin
id say a majority of people dont have a 3d printer, though it looks really nice
Stl file? 👀
That looks horrible
Also how do you like take it out to reload
They slide out I’m guessing
my bad bro got it for free really
They look pretty stuck
And it don’t matter how it looks lol if it works it works
Yeah fair you don't see it that one looks more of a pain to reload with and shit tho
theyre sort of notched on one side so it slips in
unless youre 360 no scope dolphin diving irl its really not bad. can pull my forward hand out fine to loot/reload/whatever
What’s with the multiple stock lengths? Preference?
thats a cool little component for a VRgunstock
Looks good how ever that’d cost me $305 😂
oof
Been looking at getting a printer though, seems worth it with all the uses
if youre us westcoast ill send u one for shipping lol
but its gonna take like a week bc small printer
or wherever really
yooo that looks tight
Nice colloring
I’ll consider the offer, how well does it work? Easy to take the controllers in and out? And do they stay fairly well?
yeah if youre into that
Protube stock I picked up. tons of adjustment points so I can tweak it on the fly to fit any gun ingame
controllers can slide, rotate, and tilt back and forth, each segment of the stock can be angled however you want so the guns in game are angled correctly. Controllers quick disconnect with magnetic cups, and the sling lets it hang by your side so it's easy to reconnect on the fly.
thing makes it super easy to laser beam
Imma be getting the protube, glad to hear it works well.
The controller things u slide the controllers into looks kinfs uncomfortable tho.
I don't really notice them since my hand rests above them, if that's what you mean.
How much would you say the protube has improved your aim within vr?
definitely helps you keep a tighter spread when shooting, especially at close range, and sniping seems to be a lot easier to keep a scope steady.
The final Magtube index mount is a fantastic bit of engineering
The prototype ones were a lil funky
Oh hey @plucky creek , I didn’t know you were in here.
We actually have a longer extension just about ready. Problem is we don't have time to print the final version and test since we're so behind on orders. But we should have it ready within a couple weeks
i want to get a spine gun stock from olen for my birthday they look so cool
Scott gave us the go ahead to make some custom GOT faction SPINE's so it might be worth to wait 😏 just waiting on the calibrator to get added and confirm the stock will work across all guns 100%
that sounds awsome what color will it be tan?
How do you mean?
Multiple Designs/Models... or the MagStock+ System that can be complete adjusted on angles and distance of the points?
possibly, if you see the faction logos we're gonna make the colors correspond to them
anyone know a good fully 3d printable stock?
@opal cypress Honestly.. you might be surprised with how well this works. 😉
V2 fits on a Kywoo Slim 240x240 at a 45 degr...
whaaat, hows that work? doesn't go into your shoulder? just forward support?
It is a two point Gunstock.
Main Controller in hand/holding adapter.
Off-hand rests/aligns/sets/or fingers grab (whatever is comfortable) the bar to stabilize
I have been using it in Contractors, Breachers, Tabor, Pop One, and more... does the job
And since you have your own 3D Printer... nothing to really lose in trying one... you don't even have to do the elastic and TPU backpad... it is comfortable to just hold also.
that will be awsome im for sure getting ghost
oh this is a perfect use case for new prusa slicer tree supports
Yep... I 45 tree touching build plate with roof top support. a 2mm brim also doesn't hurt
still outside of print volume for prusa mini though 😢
there are three sizes from 220mm bed to 240mm bed and even larger
What size is your print bed?
prusa mini's build volume is 18 cm (7”) cubed
180mm
making a fake Prusa Mini Printer and then will size down the extension length to fit
Try this file.
43 or 47 degree rotation... (turn of snap rotate) and center
Will fit a 180x180x180 bed.
At this size it is a bit more of a pistol stock... but I think there is enough length to still work for rifles... you will have to let me know.
Must sleep now.
wow thanks! ill check it out
I have added this file to the Thingiverse listing also
unfortunately there's enough room left for the tool paths
i think realistically any stock printable on prusa mini needs to be modular and put together
like the build volume is practically not 180x180x180, its technically slightly less, because it needs to account for the space the hotend takes up
for developing with prusa mini compatibility in mind, i recommend grabbing prusa slicer and slicing for prusa mini to check
I have printed to the edges of my own printers... different models without issue... Did you enable the Brim... you could disable that
You can use the file and cut out whatever chunk of straight length to fit where you need
Getting the Olen VR Cherry Blossom Spine with the Bungee Strap 😍
Is the istock any good?
Lol I'll let you know in a couple days I just bought one 😅 @smoky arrow
Been there
Came out fine 😈
All that and you still put a tasco/truglo sight on it lmao
Looks nice tho, I can't wait to get home and to my printer
anyone ever try Kobra Sidewinder Gunstock
Hahaha fingers crossed 😉
What’s a good and kinda cheap gun stock?
Check the pin, or scroll up and check what everyone already posted in this channel. Great stuff in here
Oh damn hey worthen we gotta squad up.
Makes sense, I'll keep my eyes open for it. Thanks
While some of you guys slap their huge carbon fiber brooms around their headsets and get stuck with some weird stocks that hang around their necks, I just enjoy the smallest necessarily thing that is barely noticeable 😏
This thing is the bees knees, and no, nobody payed me to say so, just my piggy bank said thank you when I stopped to buy weird huge stocks where I hoped that they would increase my game 😂
Did you make that yourself
Now I can shoot and do the Macarena with that bad boy
drop link for purchase
Hope this works
yo i remeber that
design from thingyverse
but forgot the link
pls send the link if u find
i am in dire need
do u even have a 3d printer?
yessir
do u have magnets
if u can find the link, i will be grateful
yeah
yh ima try
thanks
im sure
ill have a search too
alright wel if u find it too just lmk and send in dm please
It sucks
🤣
Just looking at the options for buying a spine stock it doesn’t tell you why you might want the longest length, or the shortest length. There is no assistance on the website from what I can tell for what length to get. Coming from no experience or prior knowledge it’s like picking a pair of jeans, but having no idea what the measurements mean.
@agile osprey should be able to help with those questions on his items
Where can I get a gunstock
etsy
Ok thank you
It's easy to find... Just look...
What would you guys think of the oculus gun stock?
Like the one made for quest 2
Budget king lol 😂
Hey man if it works
It work!
There is a pinned post which would help for options
Bro I have a homie literally named after your username
Also yes! Check the pins in here 🙂
How does one check pins
Looking to get a gunstock for my oculus quest 2 any opinions on what would work best?
I've been using the Sanlaki VR for a month. Better than nothing. Tomorrow the Kobra Sidewinder is showing up....I'll more details about comparison tomorrow evening.
Sanlaki is decent with sling. I'm 6 foot, so with a tightened sling It's not dragging all over the floor when I bend over to pick it up. Took about 3 hours of playing to develop the muscle memory to attach the dominant hand controller
https://sanlaki.shop/products/magnetic-vr-rifle-gunstock
Currently using this one
Sanlaki magnetic gunstock for Quest 1 and Quest 2. This VR rifle will help you improve your aim in Contractors, Onward, Pavlov, and other VR fps games. It comes with magnetic mounts so you can easily reload. You can also mount closer for SMGs and farther for rifles and snipers. Sanlaki Magnetic Stock - Meta Quest 1, 2, Pro, Valve Index, Pico 4
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1390570798/kobra-sidewinder-gunstock-with-optional?transaction_id=3484103171
This one arrives tomorrow.
@agile osprey do you know why the ||SHIPIT|| promo code isnt working?
Does the spine not get in the way of ingame interactions?
did they just call me sick for looking at gunstocks????
also, do i buy wolverine ultralight or sidewinder? ultralight is like $30 cheaper
I'll be getting my hands on the sidewinder tomorrow to test the swing stock feature. Is the wolverine ultralight fixed with it's stock?
yes it appears so
I'd say that and aesthetics are the only two differences between the sidewinder and the wolverine. I'm hoping this will be more fast and efficient than the Sanlaki that I'm currently using.
i dont care about aesthetics
Sidewinder I would think for functionality purposes. On another note, if you're just looking for weight in your hands...wearing wrist/hand weights while using the quest controllers also helps create steadiness more so than just the controllers themselves.
adding 2 pound weights to each hand helps create a sense of handling a weapon and allows for a more realistic feel when bringing up the weapon to your line of sight
Protube seems to be a pretty unanimous recommendation from what ive seen, if you afford one that is.
yeah nah thats way to much to spend on a stock
Thats what imma be getting.
Ig its a personal preferencw thing. 130 bucks rly isnt that much.
I have the protube and it's nice
Also order a towahawk gunstock, waiting for it to ship.
No clue what the tomahawk is
depends
it looks so cool. im not sure if it comes with the strap tho
Damn i fking love that design ngl
Looks like the left hand is in a horrible position tho.
Looks very uncomfortable
It's a magnet in the front thats clipped onto the ring, you can move it around for a more comfortable fit
Oh okay that makes a lot more sense, whats the price point on that?
It's pretty pricey
Both kidneys and left lung
Wonder why that seller stopped selling them 6 months ago... Looks interesting
He moved to his own website
Can i get a link pls
Ohh cool
I couldn't find a good gunstock that gave me both length, but also doesn't interfere with looting and throwing grenades. So I designed my own retractable magnetic gunstock.
Yo, that's cool af. Patent and sell that thing
cool
Haha go for it, patents aren't cheap and you'll need to design it from scratch in CAD for production. Have fun 😉.
Ive been contemplating making these and putting them for sale on my Etsy. Just havent found the time yet.
Where tf do i find the tomahawk gundtocm?
Sanlaki magnetic gunstock for Quest 1 and Quest 2. This VR rifle will help you improve your aim in Contractors, Onward, Pavlov, and other VR fps games. It comes with magnetic mounts so you can easily reload. You can also mount closer for SMGs and farther for rifles and snipers. Sanlaki Magnetic Stock - Meta Quest 1, 2, Pro, Valve Index, Pico 4
Thanks.
Very creative and cool take on a gunstock
Thank you!
I made a "shotgun" pump action option for MagStock+ system... Using toilet paper roll holder (spring action) haha
Don't think his site is up just yet. But if you google SkolVR you'll see his Youtube. Which has links to his Tiktok and Facebook page. You can message him through there.
Now that's creative! Lol
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to share another revision and fun innovations to the Mini Magnetic System and eWreckTor System that I offer on my store.
This is a mechanical Pump Action shotgun mod that should work in games with those types of guns.
Still needs some testing, but wanted to share and get your thoughts.
Thanks!
Etsy Shop - https://w...
I ended up not offering it in my shop... Still had some sticking issues at certain angles and just didn't finish refining it as so few actual uses for actual pump action.
Oh that's cool! If you can take apart the toilet paper holder piece, might I recommend hitting it with some 800 grit and then 1200grit sand paper?
That'll make it glide in/out a lot more smoother and eliminate the friction.
I had to sand and polish mine down quite a bit to get a nice smooth retraction.
Actually I left the toilet paper roll holder fully intact and just sleeved it essentially.
Ahhh gotchya
Don't know. The creator claims it doesn't.
anyone ever use the istockvr or the kobra side winder
how did you make that O_O
I designed it in CAD and then 3D printed the parts, added some magnets, springs, screws, and it all came together.
very noice
Thank you!
Alright any protube owners wanna lmk how the gunstock works with Tabor?
Fantastic
if you ever start selling this Id be interested it looks amazing
Same, I want one.
Definitely! If im able to get around to producing/selling these, i'll let you guys know! & @lethal sinew
if someone sends me gunstock i’ll give a smooch
Id love one if there was a stock to push against your shoulder
any recommends for an index stock? Found a few but curious as to what y'all have before i choose
that and what yall think of the ones you have currently.
Protube, fantastic
I'm sure I could design it in a way so it has a shoulder brace, but that would really eliminate the whole function and benefit of the design,
To be super compact and out of the way, until you need to ADS.
I mean kinda like the Istock but smaller if you’re familiar with it. And your design incorporated of course
the shipit code doesn't work for international shipping, if it did we'd be losing money on our stocks lol
That would be the absolute best stock ever
What is a good stock for under $50?
Oh alright, would have saved me 45 bucks 😔
There are next to none, but Istock, @thick hatch makes some 1pt stock, or 3d print one or construct one yourself
With what some pcp pipe or metal rods?
Yeah that could work
Back in the day I made a stock for my Rift using PVC pipe, but you take the joints,
Heat them up in boiling water,
Then push the quest controller into the now soft PVC joint. Let it cool and you have a DIY molded controller cup to attach to a PVC pipe.
Yeah maybe 🤔 but I think it will be bulky was that a problem for you
No more bulky then any other full sized stock. But thats ganna be the cheapest option for a full sized stock. And you can get the PVC at any local Lowes or Home Depot.
I live next to a Hardware 2 Minute Walk ez how much was it?
Oh thats going to depend on where you live, but I wouldn't imagine it being more than $10-$20. Unless you can get the PVC cut to a specific length at the hardware store, in which case you can save more if you know the exact length you want the stock to be.
Here is a guide I found real quick online that should help you get started, just ignore the section about using thermoplastic for molding finger grips. Thats not necessary (unless you want to do that):
What happens if you BOIL
Just ordered the istock half stock so I can loot and shoot
I got sent one bc of my esports team and it’s honestly really not all that great
Just invest in a protube way better stabilization
Some stability is better than nothing
Or find another one that you like
I'll see if I like this one
Yea that’s fair ig but how much did you pay
50 usd
It’s worth a try you might like it, it’s just I personally didn’t
I'm a small build it'll hopefully be fine
I looked at others and think they'd get in the way of me grabbing things or knocking stuff over in my room
I’m stuck between the olen VR and the magnistock+ they are around the same price with the olen being a little cheaper but the magnistock has more adjustments. If anyone has had either of these what were your thoughts and what one would you recommend
I may make a tutorial on how to make my homemade vr stock
Lmfao
I shot him and mans did a backflip
Not sure how that relates to gunstocks but verh funnh.

Avoid anything that adds heft to your controllers especially if it's top mounted, go with the magnistock+ it mounts underneath the controllers and is very light
Yeah that’s what I was looking at first because of the customization and the weight
If I buy a gunstock how tf do I pickup loot normally?
Will the controllers just be constrained in the gun thing?
@scarlet ferry most have magnets so you can remove the controllers quickly
To reload grab stuff etc

Has gunstock support been added yet
yes
How dose it work like onword?
yeah
just go in game, make sure virtual stock is disabled and you are good
Ight bet
Make those compatible with index knuckles and im a buyer
question for anyone that has the olen spine, if i wanna take the top rail off, will i still be able to use the sling or does it come off with it
Send me a link to it and ill give a close inspection and lyk what I think?
Dud
That would be cool, sadly I dont have knuckle controllers to work with to make that happen at the moment.
this is not true stock support btw.
if u buy this get it off the actual glistco site
its cheaper and comes faster
and you can directly talk to their support
I’m gonna
I’m gonna get it tomorrow it’s currently 75 plus I signed up and got an extra 10%
and the magnets will already be attached to the stock, dont think ur missing them
What is?
So it gonna be like $67

this is
thats good, its crazy cause i bought a protube and my friend bought a magni, and he loved it and i hated my protube so i just got a magni and like it 10x more
only thing i dislike is the controller cups
sometimes my controller slips out lmao
I'm between the spine and magni
I found a code for the spine to get it for 76 plus the sling
But I'm not really sure which I should get
I heard that the top of the spine gets in the way sometimes but if I take I off then I can't use the sling anymore
Yeah I saw a lot of people recommend the protube but when I saw it it looked just like the magni but double the price
i think the protube is way more customizable, thats why its so expensive.
its also definitely made of higher grade material(from what i've seen, I dont actually own one)
but u are paying more bc its a well known brand
magni comes with a sling and no tracking issues cause of rail mount
Did they add gunstock calibration?
not yet, but most of the guns are OK, atleast for my stock
Looks like people talk mostly about the protube and the glistco magni+, are there any im missing?
Glistco or protube for HP Reverb G2? I see protube has a dedicated selection for G2 controllers where glistco doesn’t
I'm thinking about a kobravr DMR any insight? Q2 btw
Looks cool will make looting a pain in the ass alot of useless weight on there as well
the way i see it, is my gunstock doesnt have to look good bc i wont be looking at it 90% of the time
iam just waiting for my tomahawk, anyone tried it yet ?
I was thinking of getting a tomahawk but the site is down for now
so is gunstock calibration a thing yet?
nvm just saw, well I guess I'll go F myself with my VRS stock lol
@gloomy flint @small tide this is the ultralight
Is the front controller the only one that’s removable?
yes
oh yeah get it then
that’s so much better than the sidewinder if the front is removable
i think theres a magnet in the front im not sure
pretty cheap too, around the same price as the istocl
istock
might buy ultralight tmrw, 30 day delivery ☠️
or even more
Hella overpriced, im designing my own
Thanks though
Looking for a gunstock for my Rift CV1.
are the controllers for Quest 2 and such the same size for the CV1?
are there any good left handed stocks? i shoot left handed and idk if most stock’s accommodate
and that arent gonna murder my wallet
I do to actually
left handed shooter gang
oh
CV1 Controllers are different than Quest 2... the Rift S was teh similar one
I made a video on heat modifying my 3D Printed (original adapters) to work with the Kiwi Extended Grips and was the way I play for a LONG time with my MiniMag system.
https://youtu.be/bpI1IbBKvcQ
Hey everyone,
This video shows how to heat modify my System adapters to work with the Kiwi Extended Battery Straps.
It will require additional Velcro, which you can reach out to me and I will gladly send.
Let me know if you have any questions.
The other option is the top mounted systems "should" work, but I don't have any so can't verify.
Why are they all so expensive they all look cheap to make
You would be surprised at the cost of production, specially these days. Not to mention the cost for shipping is based on weight.
@narrow berry there is also always the DIY PVC pipe route you could take for cheap
If you have a 3D Printer... sure the materials aren't bad for the 3D Print part... but the Metal Portions and Magnets aren't the cheapest.
You must also factor in time and effort to design, print, and put them together. Clean them up and verify that work as intended.
I do agree that "some" of the systems definitely seem overpriced by comparison, but it becomes no different than buying name brand vs off-brand... you pay more for the name... although ProTube does have a higher end finish and feel for the "pro"... but again you pay for it.
Personally (for my shop and items) I have always focused more on Function vs Form and offering an entry level price for someone looking to get in to Accessorizing their VR experience.
as Cheesy said... you can always go the DIY PVC Tube route... effective, not pretty, and not mag... but gets the job done and anyone can do it.
I'll piggy back off this and say that I agree with everything, and i'll add that the production time, specially for smaller shops that dont have access to injection molding. So to 3D print a full stock w/parts, just for 1 can take easily 10hrs+, that followed by the prep work and assembly/testing.
Time + Labor = Factors in cost
That looks like a great deal to me! Ide jump on it
There is a basic/general "retail" calculator that is commonly used...
$1 per print hour and $.10 per gram material (plus other materials like magnets, rods, etc)
They’re fairly niche items with low sales volumes so each stock has to absorb more of the design cost.
I also like to use the Prusa calculator they offer for gauging pricing:
https://blog.prusa3d.com/3d-printing-price-calculator_38905/
How much should you charge when 3D printing on demand? Is electricity a major factor in the calculation? What about the return of the total investment and your time? These are frequent questions in the 3D printing community. There were already...
What are kiwigrips
Do you live in the US?
Yeah
Try either SHIPIT or OLENVR
Personally... My Etsy shop is a side hobby (and hustle) that brings in extra "fun" money and freedom... but I guarantee... I would not be making a living wage doing it... even if volume were to scale... Currently it is a definitely part time job... and I could easily make more doing an actual part time job haha
but I enjoy the design, process, and joy that my items bring to others... so I keep on. It also provides me with a bit more platform and voice in the VR Community and let's me do nice things for others and giveaways and charity sponsorships and such.
shipit makes shipping free
I don’t see the point
None of them worked
Same! I dont think unless your making hippy jewelry and selling it on Etsy, that you could pull in the revenue to make it a full time job lol. Ive had success on there selling airsoft related parts, but like you definitely not enough to quite my day job, but it helps pay for gas and donuts lol.
You can always use Honey
I do have a 10w Laser Engraver/Cutter arriving sometime soon from Creality (for testing/program)...
I am really excited to see what it can do... I have already spent $150+ on materials for this "free" laser (regularly $210).
I think it has more potential for an easier/quicker revenue stream with the right items.
I can engrave Acrylic for Logos and such with light up signs... or wood... or do cut out acrlyic pieces etc...
I was just about to say, yeah man start engraving some acrylic, and get some cheap RGB LED's on amazon, you could make some super sick RGB signs, that are pretty low effort (just engraving and gluing the LED's on).
Engraved versions sell for $30+ generally on Etsy
Will start by making one with my own Logo to test and see haha
Anyways... Back to gunstock talk.
I could cut out "Light Bringer" charms people could attach to their gunstock 😉
Haha bro im excited for you, thats ganna be dope when you finally get that all setup
Looks big
not sure if it's beefy enough but people spend some crazy money on fancy etched mags or glock backplates
That is certainly an interesting thought/market... The laser is able to etch metal.
Do you have the magni
Oh that thing is dope! I had no idea the Ender 3 had these types of swappable attachments.
ima just make my own out of pvc pipe, theres always $50 of tax and delivery when i look online
I'm looking at the magni and spine right now, does anyone have any preferences for them
Magni seems to be widely considered pretty decent, like a cheaper version of the protube.
is the gunstock setting in the game yet?
no
I have both Magni and protube! The magni is really good imo
I actually really like the controller cups and prefer them over then protube
But the protube I like the tube itself a little better
The magnetic pull with the magni controller cups is super strong and you will never struggle to find where you need to place your controllers.
Solid choice I got the pro+ if that makes a difference
I’m not for sure the difference
This is the one I got
Yeah sorry it wasn’t pro just the +
Yeah that's the one in looking at
has anyone made this http://www.iclays.com/VRGunstock/2020vrgunstock.html
I found a code to get it for 63
Solid 👍
I made one many years ago with my O.G Rift. It does the job without any frills (ie: magnets, removable cups, etc)
how good is it, better than nothing?
Well anything is better than nothing. I used it specifically for onward back in the day. I cant say how it would work for Tabor, specially with how Tabor handles hand angles and this stock doesn't give you any ability to adjust your grips angles.
im too poor to use grips like that half of the time anyways, and i dont like them
Anyone else rocking a Kobra Wolverine?
has anyone got a good cheap gunstock?
define "cheap".
Wrong chat, but you can see on the wiki here https://ghosts-of-tabor.fandom.com/wiki/Equipment
great i just lost the 2nd best to a glitch
£15-£50
i dont wanna build one lol

Is this one any good?
generally comes highly recommended
@small tide regarding the stock, theres a huge tax on everything i want to buy so ima just make my own out of pvc pipe
I use it. I still find myself only using it if I’m playing island though as gun stocks in general are kinda cumbersome when it comes to looting and what not. So silo being close range I don’t find the need for it, but on island and longer ranges it’s nice.
I don’t play too too much silo so it might be perfect for me
If anyone wants a cheap gunstock just look up i stock there like 40-50 bucks
I ordered the istock half stock will let you know how it performs when it comes in Friday
I still find it interesting how popular the iStock is...
I'm hoping this guy gets up and running soon. Saw Mr. Nix on YouTube using it. Looks like it would work great for me, since when I have my dominate hand near my Quest 2 the long gun stock jumps left or right a lot...

you don't even get stabilization/alignment between hands... and they are charging $50 for it...
does anyone know why the 2 day is more than the 1 day?
Pretty sure I've seen this stock for sale on Etsy
just FedEx things
makes sense
I used one of the original models (which was a lot cheaper) for Pop One and it worked well, setting the offhand influence low or to zero seems to be a thing people do in Pop a lot
This is my current stock : https://exact3d.co.uk/product/vr-hs-vr-gun-stock-full-kit-oculus-quest-2/
I like it for fast reloading (no magnet on the front grip) and it's adjustable enough for all the guns in Ghosts
That looks nice. I’m running into the issue of there being limited options for the quest pro controllers
They have a model for the Pro controllers I think
I had to Google it... Apparently priority charges by weight while economic is cheaper for bigger items (more flat rate). So if your item to be ordered is light... Priority is cheaper oddly enough
thanks
@pure crown yep, but his/their Etsy store is no longer there... They posted that they would like to be up and running within a couple of weeks.
I use this exact stock and ive been getting mad kills in island with it. Takes a bit to set up right the way you want it but once you do its bad ass I recommend it.
Kobra Wolverine, leaves your left hand completely free, as well as comes with an option pump action slide.
Just ordered the magnistock can’t wait for it to come
Got a hell of a deal on it too it’s on sale from 85 to 75 plus they gave me an extra 10% so I only payed $67
You will like it. I have it and the protube
The magnetic controllers cups on the magni stock are better imo
i would recommend getting it off their site its on sale right now
and comes faster
Can you send link?
^
❤️
Thank you
if u sign up now theyll email u and add the discount to ur account
np. and if u do end up getting it and need help setting it up shoot me a dm
Yeah I just ordered it and got it for 67
if u need help just let me know.
now im off to mod my ready or not
Will do
is there a good gunstock i can get in europe that doesnt have to get swhipped from usa??
question for all the people with stocks, did you feel like you needed the stock? i feel like im performing pretty well without one but i was wondering if getting one basically just made you better?
It for sure helps with longer ranges since you can get way steadier. Do you NEED it? Nah. The virtual stock is pretty good imo
does it help with recoil?
No since that’s all in game. You might be able to stay steadier while controlling it but having a stock doesn’t make it go away
so would you say that it helped your aim?
With long distance stuff yeah. They’re cheap enough it was worth trying for me. I only use it if I’m playing island. On silo I don’t use it.
it helps for controlling recoil more consistently, and it makes point shooting and hip firing actually consistent + lining up your sights is consistent if you are keeping your cheek in the same spot at least
highly recommend a retractable cable or single point sling attachment for a game like tabor
where can i buy?
Look up SKOLVR, you'll see his socials. You can message him through those.
why?
Lets u drop the gunstock if u need to grab pistol or loot or something.
what r some good stock recommendations?
Check pinned message
idk if this is the right place to post it but for anyone does the virtual gun stock just feel weird and sort of off? like for example if i’m aiming the gun up to say look through the grates on silo i feel like i need to put my front hand higher then the barrel to aim. other then that i’d say the v-stock is good but it would be also cool to get some dampening options as the dampening on virtual stock is very high. i am also very new to this game
how do you aim without it? in every other vr game (contractors pavlov breachers etc.) i find the v stock to be super helpful but for this game it just makes it weird to aim
Idk mani just ADS as always
It’s because it’s “anchoring” it to your shoulder and reducing “sensitivity”. So you need to exaggerate your movements in situations like that
do you recommend it or nah should i just prsctice without it
I use it. I just work around it in situations like that. You hold the gun further out to “disengage” the virtual stock.
alright gotcha thanks man
Bro I got the i stock it’s like a half stock 10x better tha#n my full one
W pfp
If that's what people want why not? There are tons of different stocks where some will work better then others and people will have questions... the only thing I see is "fuking stupid" is someone that coming in trying to get a raise out of something that your not interested in. Makes not sense
… so let’s get this straight. You have grown up to be a (36?) year old (man?), and over the years developed many hobbies. One of them, being one of the most niche hobbys in the world - Virtual reality military simulation games. I mean, you /are/ here, after all. And yet, today, you opened discord, and in the blink of an eye decided, hey, this is where I draw the line. A VIRTUAL REALITY GUNSTOCK?!
And in your moment of disgust, you knew in your heart that you had to leave a mark on this earth to let others know, how you, StephenK87 feel about this particular, niche topic.
I'm annoyed because i was advised on not opening a channel to help WMR users because of potential problems it might bring, but i don't understand why people don't just use their arms to aim. I have seen people ask "Whats the best gun stock?" a few times and i don't understand why you spend £50 on a pole when you could use your ARMS. >_>
- I mean, you kinda served up my answer for me. You yourself have seen multiple people ask what the best gun stock is - validating the necessity of this channel.
I'm just wondering if you can change you name from StephenK87 to Karen or what is the male version oooh yeah Kevin.... you can be Kevin
Why spend $300+ on VR when you can go do real activities outside
Now I am curious on the Istock ... haven't seen it mentioned much (if at all) in here. See afew use it on YouTube seems ok(ish)
Why play a vr military sim when you can just join the military?
Did that .... real bullets hurt
There is a huuge difference between using just your hands to aim or having 3 points of contact to aim. that's why. now stop bitching.
Are you ex-military?
law enforcement
Police?
yes?
check your pm
@fallow rover I didn't see the original, now deleted message... but from the responses I get the gist...
You think Virtual Reality Gunstocks are useless, have no place, offer nothing, and are a waste of money.
To you, all of those things may be true and certainly gunstock pricing can range dramatically from FREE (DIY/3D Printer) to $400+
What you get for that money/range also varies greatly, which is why this channel makes sense for those interested in using one and those that have experience with them.
On the topic of usefulness, they can be extremely useful to increase accuracy and stability in all types of games, from fast pace to classic military sim.
If you have never tried one... perhaps you can do a mini test at home and see if you think they can make a difference. Grab a stick/groom/rod. Hold your main controller and the rod in one hand. Grip the gun in game with your off-hand and hold the rod with the other hand. Now aim and fire at some targets and see if it helps with accuracy and stability. Then get back to us.
Personally I generally don't see the need for a 3pt or 4pt gunstock as there is no recoil in VR games (unless you are using the ProTube Haptics), but the 3rd point can add extra stabilization vs a 2pt mid-air option for those that like/want it.
The fact that ProTube can sell at the price it is and be the #1 recognized name... should tell you more than you need that Gunstocks have a place and use, just perhaps not for you.
I thank you for the input, but i will admit that got passionette and spoke too soon. I wanted to talk to one of the devs on the issue, but don't want to become a nuissane to them, should my issue not be important as fixing the game.
I have heard in particular that Ghosts of Tabor isn't quite setup for 3rd party/real life gunstocks as well as some other games... they have a built in "virtual stock" that is causing some incompatibility and issues vs other games.
I expect this is something they will quickly resolve.
If you want a prime example of the type of customization EVERY shooter needs for gunstock use. Just load up Contractors and see their system to tweak your alignment exactly to match your style and stock... similar to Golf+ Golf Attachment options.
I will speak to todd again, see if i can get something sorted.
Bro did you take a picture through the lenses and not a screenshot?
Innovation
Yea idk why but when i was trying it wasn’t popping up on the app
Thanks I haven’t play for like 5 says tho
Anyone tried the ISTOCK gunstock ?
ill do you one better
Nice
damn you got a lot
never thought id see you here
yet again its a popular game so ig i would
i just started playing this game
noice
Built my own. No need to ever detach controllers from stock. Works great for tabor
If it works, it works 😉
Don't need to be fancy to be functional and not like you are going to a tournament or something public haha
I would bring it to a tournament its perfect for tabor 🙂
😉 Would love to see you smoke the ProTubers 😉
Lmao
What’s it made of
PVC?
Ill send a more updated pictures tonight as i have improved it quite a bit. And ill include everything needed to make it.
It costs under $10 to make
Will you include instructions or will the steps to make it be obvious?
I will include instructions.
Okay
i have istock and bowk marksman stocks. if someone wants to know about those
istock is helping some, but nothing compared to bowk.. but before this game is getting gunstock calibration you can only use few guns with bowk marksman.. e.g. m4
anyone know a cheap but good gunstock?
—HELP—
Guys im from Europe
Do you guys know any good gunstock I can get that is not shipped from the states??
Istock half stock 50 usd on Amazon
Mine is in the mail
Will let you know if it's worth it I've heard good things
was gonna order a kobra stock, €20 shipping €20 tax
Mines been in the mail for a month now I’m from the states tho
Oof
i misread the situation haha sorry
i use it everyday
Here’s what I run
Magnetic pull on the magni controller cups is better then the protube IMO
But the protube has 3 points you can adjust so I put 2 and 2 together lol
I’m torn between the Bowk Invert Marksman and the Sanlaki. Are there any owners of either stock in here that can share their thoughts on them?
thats a magtube and its very good
Kobra Vr is in EU, I believe
How is it? I'm thinking about getting the same one
i tried to buy from olen a couple weeks ago and they told me it would be weeks before they even mailed one.
Yeah it takes a hot min
Aight good to know!
Definitely a turn off
i went with the magni+ and it got to me in 3 days.
Quality is good as well then?
Yup!
Question
does the plastic ontop get in the way of switching attachments?
does it have adjustments regarding the position and angle of the front cup? thats a critical feature
Plastic can be removed
yeah but at that point shouldnt you just buy a cheaper 3d printed one with the same design?
Badass
Whatever gets the job done
How much is it tho
No sling yet
Magni stock + is around 70 usd and protube/magetube is around 150 usd
for $20 in magnets and < $3 in plastic this thing is decent https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4257873
This is an ergonomic magnetic gun stock for the Valve Index Controllers. Tested and works great with most weapons in Onward (except P90) with or without a fore-grip. It has a nice solid feel that helps steady your aim.
It lines up comfortably with the holo sight, red dot, 2x, 4x, 12x scopes, but eye relief on a Marsoc 4x scope with the M16 is qu...
Oh, hello there.
Made some slight adjustments. THIS STOCK CRAZY
Is that PVC pipe?
Yup
Bro how did u do that
Followed a guide
Can u send it to me
That looks cool but I might just put silicone for the controllers or use the kewi controller straps
Yeah man whatever works
Anyone know any relatively cheap stocks I could get
Make your own
what other ones do you have
did you do the free shipping?
Nope lol I paid for fast shipping but I wanted it it NOW!
how is the magni?
It’s pretty damn good. It comes with super glue which definitely needs it. Also I had to ad some scotch tape to my right controller so it doesn’t pop out of the magnet socket thing. But other than that I’ve been killing player left and right with it for sure.
I mean the virtual stock was doing pretty good for me but if you got the money it’s worth it.
It does help with keeping your gun straight
Your front hand wobble disappears
bet
It usually makes everything except aiming a two handed weapon more difficult and slower though
There's a learning curve to be smooth and quick with them
yeah but for those situations i can just drop it with the stock
or the uhh
i forgot what its called
Sling?
yes
I dont see how they work tbh
Can you remove both controllers from the stock?
Your stock
yeah
I cant with mine so theres not much reason to have a sling, is there?
yeah for yours
for sure?
what
I know that GoT currently does not have gunstock calibration, but could someone explain to me, as new VR player with a Gunstock, what it actually does? Does it mean I dont need to change the physcial setup of my stock for each gun or something else?
Pretty much
This is what I currently run for reference https://clips.twitch.tv/ObedientBrightButterNononoCat-kM777bV4c7G-aCGX
That cool, it will take as long as it takes I guess.
Does anyone know what gunstock this guy is using?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ3TvegghNk&t=157s
🛑STOCK INFO🛑
There is currently no listing for the Tomahawk gunstock. the guy that makes them had an issue with the site he was selling them on, and is now in the process of moving his business to another site. once setup, the link will be back in the description. Thank you for understanding.
----------------------------------------------------...
Its been linked here before, its some guy who is resetting his shop up again if I recall corr3ectly.
Tomohawk Vr Stock I believe
If you scroll up for a bit you'll see it linked.
This.
Thanks
No worries, I've been eyeing off myself. 🙂
Has anybody tried the spine gunstock for quest 2?
Here is a 10% discount code for iSTOCK! https://istockgaming.com/discount/istock
Should I get I stock?
I bought that stock and it kinda sucks man maybe I got a bad one but the magnets that attach the controls to the metal tube of the gun are weak af
Are there any good stocks for index controllers? Everything I see is for the stick drift Rift S or Quest controllers
i need this but for pico 4😭
i know this isnt a headstrap channel
but anyone got a battery headstrap they recommend
BOBOVR M2 Pro is a battery Strap Accessories specially designed Compatible with Quest2. It innovatively adopts a replaceable hot-swap battery, which can directly replace the backup battery during the use of VR host without removing the VR headsets. Through multiple magnetic battery packs, you can...
Nice. Abo7t how long does the little battery thing last?
BoboVR all day every day
alright nice, im just getting tired of only being able to play games for an hr and a half
its annoying af to be deep into a game and then I gotta get off bc my headsets a little bitch
Each battery lasts like 2 hours and the batteries are detachable. You can buy extra batteries for it as well
alright cool, i think imma get the pack with the strap, 2 batteries, and the charger thing.
it is so fucking amazing
the way it works is that you have a baseplate that charges them and when 1 gets low you put it on the charger and get the full one so its essentially infinite playtime
and its hella comfortable
hell yeah, infinite playtime is a win in my book lol
bobo vr
anyone have the spine stock? is it good? i ordered mine. should be coming in 2 ish weeks
he is streaming now and using the Spine while on KatWalk C2
@shy aspen
He streams 3 times a week
Pavlov Match night
He is actually playing with @agile osprey right now haha
Out of curiosity I checked out the stream to see how the treadmill works. He's on the treadmill but he's walking using the joystick..
He definitely uses the treadmill, but yes there is a bit of a mix depending on the situation.
Alright lads I ordered a Glistco magnistock+. Rats be warned
how long ago did you get yours?
Anyone have the iStock? How do u like it
fam just run it through your shirt and put it in your pocket get a long enough cord 3ft should be enough 💀
bobovr m2 always
It balances the headset out by having the battery on the back.
So i can wear it comfortavly for much longer
I 3d modeled and 3d printed my own gunstock similar to istock (https://istockgaming.com/discount/istock). it works great, it was just a fun little diy project!
This was my first variation which was just kinda a test and I’m currently 3d printing the next photo because the stock is longer and it’s just a better version.
Any suggestions for gunstocks that will maximise my gameplay
It really depends on pricerange
Some people swear by the istock
Gotta just try em and see
Ur just seems like it’ll be hard to play with a gun stick
I got the protube, pretty decent one, can be adjusted for left and right handed shooters, and the adjustment points are good for getting your hands in right place, little fiddly to get it just right but when it’s there that shaky sniping goes away lol
To anyone looking at the iSTOCK, just buy BowkVR and ask for the half stock like I did (or buy spare parts from ProTubeVR)
Better value for money
With shipping, the half stock from bowkVR cost $66USD
And it has an adjustable cheek rest, customised colour, as well as the option of being built into a full stock later
Is it the 1st if I've been using one for years??
Depends if you're using them for pistols or not
for rifles, not so much
And it provides a stable and consistent base for your rifle. Helps more than you'd think
But for rifles, not as good as a full stock for sure
for pistols I prefer no stock
Breachers especially benefits from a pistol stock
I made my own 3pt stock for 25 bucks
I know ppl who can't hammer a nail into a wall, so not everyone is capable of making their own stock lol
Jesus
It’s very simple, the hard part is finding the right measurements
I'm aware
Not everyone did. I've still got my 1st keychain somewhere haha
You also got to remember a lot of ppl are money rich but time poor.
Not me mind, but some ppl. 😄
If you work 70-80 hours a week, you'd probably prefer to spend that 3-4 hours playing VR with a $100 stock than spending $30 and losing that 3 hours building a stock. 🙂
Who needs a vr gunstock when you can use your chin to stabilise your aim
Did I mention I'm poor
which brings us back to this too... 😄
Plus it looks undeniably better
That too!
Oh that’s what this channel is for… I thought it was for showing what guns someone has stocked up (ingame screenshot)
took me under 10 mins, if you exclude getting the parts which took 20 mins at most
also I don’t have a job, so this is cheaper
- I don’t see the stock while playing so it doesn’t need to look good
there should be a channel for that
good idea
everyone with a shit looking custom stock says this lol. it’s the fact you have a fat ass pvc pipe just sitting in the corner of your room lmao
it’s not like it’s on display
Except when it is
What?
You both don't stream and live in isolation
Otherwise someone would surely see it lol
Nah I don’t stream
And live in isolation, otherwise whoever you live with or have over would see it
It's not exactly a conversation piece
That being said, I'm sure I have uglier things than pvc pipe lying around haha
Do you have conversations about your stock?
Yep
For those who have full stock do you guy's have them setup to work with all the guns? Most smg and assault rifle for me are aligned but the sks and the first bolt action rifle I can't aim with them it's like there being held lower and more on the right.
Just talk about what I use it for, who made it and how the vr industry in Oceania is being supported by small business
Rather than some shed tools lying around lol
Are you posting the design to Thingiverse?
if you have a magni or mag tube you have to adjust your magnet points until it just feels right
we need calibration soon
Some ppl attach multiple cups too, so that each gun had its correct 'spot'
stock with a sliding mechanic would be cool
I imagine that would be very hard to secure solidly
My biggest issue with cheap stocks is the wiggle
Some side of locking mechanism
Like clampers
I’m being told the spine blocks ur hands from reaching the gun slide and reloading on quest is that true
yes, you can remove that part though but you’ll not be able to use a sling
Then what’s the pout of buying it lol
It’s made for other games initially I think
It depends how you angle it tbh
I personally use the half stock cause I don't like having to think about things externally from what I'm seeing in VR
What’s a halfe stock
Oh yeah I don’t like that
Same
just get the tomahawk when it comes available
What’s the tomahawk
what is it, it is amazing
The ceo of ProTubeVR just offer me a 250€ gunstock ☺️ (because i offer him the game )
Oh my
What edition did you give away
MagTube gunstock (Controller brand: Meta Quest 2 - Armature: Carbon Tubes - Color of the cups: Carbon cups)
🧢
Its my first gunstock (im going to cry 😭)
Why would I buy another more expensive one when I have 2 already lol
tomahawk is cheap
You want a picture of the discussion ?
its cheaper than most if not all
yes
Price??
150 usd for the tomahawk pro, the normal tomahawk is like $80 usd
Difference?
damn, wher tf u get urs from
BowkVR
pro is better material and higher quality parts
im au
Bowk is NZ
