Hello,

I am facing an issue which I am currently unable to resolve with the Android 1.3.40 version.
Photos/vidéos fail to upload through either the automatic backup feature, or through manual upload. No real error message on the interface.
The disabled cloud overlay is still there and the other clients do not see the file.

Upload works just fine from the windows desktop client, the web interface both on the phone and on the desktop.

A few particularities :

  • Running self hosted based on docker, on a Tailscale network.
  • Android phone is Samsung S25+ with OneUI 8.5
  • Tailscale service (with Let's Encrypt cert) exposes endpoints (web, api, s3, ...) used by the clients.

I upgraded the self hosted containers to latest as I saw some signature errors in the logs. This did not fix the issue.

Under 1.3.35, everything was working fine (and is still working fine since I switched back to this version via f-droid)

Any idea or someone using a similar setup and also facing issues ?

We recently made some change in client side to support http2. Most probably that is what broke something

yep it’s around that only. Please keep using old build for now. We will fix it in next to next release (~ 2 weeks from now)

On Photos 1.3.40 I can still see and upload images, but faces that were assigned to people aren't anymore. The assignments still show up fine in the desktop app and Photos 1.3.35. Do you think it is the same issue?
