Hello,
I'm using GrapheneOS and with that OS you can actually give storage scopes, means I can tell apps which folders/pictures etc I grant access.

In ente right now there is a privacy flaw which I would love to address as well as an idea on how to remove which shouldn't be that hard to accomplish.

I would love it if hidden pictures actually would not download in the default folders but more in something like a folder called hidden or such so I can just exclude it from the storage scope and none of these pictures would be shown in apps where I don't scope that folder.

The best idea would be if it is into its own folder somewhere out of pictures etc. So I can scope the entire picture folder but not having either hidden folder (if it would be created in pictures) or as it is right now right into pictures. E.g. Device/Ente

Of course I could not include pictures but
/pictures/telegram
/Pictures/discord
Etc

Just an idea. But an own folder is highly needed imo.

Found also a second privacy flaw which is more like a bug.

If you put a picture into hidden while it's saved on your device, it will remain in the "on your device" category on top of the albums... From where you can simply press onto the picture. 😂

I guess if the "hidden" pictures would move into the hidden folder as written, this could also just be excluded from the "on device" tab and fix that issue easily.

Of course any files app could see that picture but at least it's not right into the pictures app.. imagine you swipe with friends through the app and there is some privacy picture popping up. 😬
