pocari sweat seemed ok but kinda overrated
Sec
80 per night is way more than enough. You gonna have a nice hotel.
@honest tapir Dates
im just pressing a random button at this point, i wanna try out literally everything
6/25-30
Just you?
yup
lmao yeah
That's really limiting
yeah it's been my default price range when i travel, but i really should find cheaper ones..
The one I booked near Tokyo Dome before cancelling for another hotel was good.
I'll DM you if it's still available.
i just canceled my hotel near tokyo dome coz i found tokyo dome is in the middle of nowhere
not near any of the usual spots i go to
Oh I think I misunderstood what you wanted. I missed the important part lol ignore me
I'm staying near Ikebukuro station
Kinda further away than other potential places but still near major station
i defaulted to ueno since it has oedo line + easy airport access
and cheap
but im wondering if you have another suggestion
I already have a few, but I'm taking a look at best pricing
in the heart of Akasaka and next to Akasaka-Mitsuke Station
That whole area is well connected
That's about $65 USD a night
@honest tapir There is just one minor downside
which is...
Its the same hotel I'll be at
If that's not weird for you
I'm there from June 14 till July 5
haha ok
but yeah I think that's a good hotel for $65 USD a night
Its well connected and close to lots of stations
and it fits your requirement of no transfers to tokyo dome
Its within 5-10 minutes of walking of 3 train lines that go directly to stations next to tokyo dome
Did I make a good or bad choice staying next to Ikebukuro station. Not sure why I picked that but is a major station.
That's a perfectly fine area
Just don't walk into any maid cafes, soaplands, or hostess clubs
lmao go for it ashbash
yeah thanks, i'll take note of this hotel
As for stuff to do in Tokyo
This is a relatively good jumping off point - https://whenin.tokyo/Tokyo-s-Best-1
Cant afford those even if I wanted to lol (i dont to be clear)
Broke kpop fan. Live up the stereotype
I think I'll be busy every night anyways while you're there
6/26 - Flowers Loft - Wagamama (Reservation Made)
6/27 - Shimokitazawa - In Sea Hole/Hail Lain - (Reservation through Habo)
6/30 - City Country City Tokyo - Nekosen (Message organizer for tickets)
I got a few music shows to attend
Wagamama is a name of a British chain not-really-Japanese restaurant
huh?
Its not a restaurant?
I didn't know there was a musical act called the same thing as a restaurant us Brits are familiar with
Yeah its a band - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tENskcles_o

I love what makes Japanese band music sound like Japanese band music but I haven't really spent much time listening to it nor could I describe what the specific attributes are to Japanese band music.
Hit up some music shows while you're in Tokyo
Guys listen to everything MrT tells you, guy is a legend
I didnt know there was a view like this
where
its a random ass shinto temple on a whole ass mountain with a view of mt fuji and the ocean
Kenchoji-Temple is the name of the buddhist one, and then u just hike up the mountain for 20 minutes to this shinto temple
Oh you’re in kamakura
Following my itinerary?
Nah i mixed up the order from north to south
But yes, the points on your list
Gotcha
But i shouldve went earlier, thats point 1 of like 8 and its alredy lunchtime lmao
Ahh
Yeah I leave my hotel at like 6-7
I usually finish a lot of my stuff around 3
Depending on how long lunch and tea is
Ahhhh
WOOOOOOW
Yeah I organized it south to north, so that you would have less distance to travel on the way back
worth it, that was the best destination of my japan trip so far
i even bought a charm at the top of the mountain to ward off illness and accidents
oh what was the route for this
This temple, walk all the way up the mountain
March 6th (Kamakura/Enoshima)** (Wednesday)
- Great Bhudda
- Hokokuji Temple
- Hasedera Temple
- Hachimangu Shrine
- Kenchoji Temple
- Enoshima Shrine
- Iwaya Caves
- Enoshima Aquarium

https://tabelog.com/en/kanagawa/A1404/A140402/14051058/
https://raimugihausu.stores.jp/?all_items=true
Gotcha, cool cool. I’ll probably try to book in advance since the date I’m traveling to Tokyo from Osaka is set in stone
Did you hit up most of the list?
Everything except for the Aquarium
But i walked down the beach to enoshima
Bro 10/10
Amazing views, amazing temples, old obaasans on the hiking trail saying hello
Gotta be the best picture i took in my life
Wow
let’s recreate it…..
plus the bridge from bunnies camp tokyo poster
Hey I've been there....
holyshit im gonna visit
what am i looking for there, the clip where they walk on the bridge?
ah yeah the other collab one with the stairs is this one, bet
yeah
went there today, many bunnies taking photos haha
lol you can, but not sure if they speak English haha
@bluebleurin <t:1715421806:d>
this person has been posting pics all day
yeah im going
I think he/she take those in the morning
just for the flex
we'll need your selfie
Mission accomplished, now i can get back to bed
nope
Not sunny there I see
Oh speaking of merch, will they have the linefriends plushies lol.
At bunnies camp
u know what u look like
be honest
u don’t need to know that
I’m joking I think ur 170 something
Me looking at the sky through my car's sunroof while waiting for a breakfast place to open
do u guys think it's worth getting bunnies camp tickets from resellers atm? they're like 30k yen....
for S seats^
30k yen for s
for S is wild
If you speak Japanese you can go to twitter, many people on twitter actually looking for companion at original price
don't pay upfront tho, all of them are scams
yeah that seems like the best option, just going with someone that got an extra ticket
ya i try, currently getting very few results
by any chance is there a way i can say companion besides with katakana or is that like the only one
you can search for "bunnies camp 同行", for S I think is relatively easy to find but not SS / premium..
anyone selling a premium?
I was offered an SS ticket for 100000yen, the person showed me a screen shot of the email where they won from the bunnies club raffle. I thought those tickets were on transferrable?

$640 for SS???? That's insane
I sell to Finix for 16,530 yen
Btw @gritty rivet I lost my passport 💀 I'm gonna try to get an emergency passport tomorrow at my local passport agency but I'm PRETTY SURE i'll make it for the concert
gl, people who work at those agencies are petty
sounds sketchy
💀
If you miss it i'll just pick up the tickets under your name

Dont you dare not showing up

Nah I'd CRY if I can't go
But my passport application says approved so now I just gotta pick it up
so I should be good to go
you can pick up the tickets finix...but if bob misses...then what about the other ticket lmao
I would be like what the hell is the point I win raffle but wasn't able to go

I never heard about emergency passports, is that enough to travel to another country?
It's just a normal passport but because I travel next week they expedite it because it's an "emergency"
Good luck 🫡🫡
If that happened to me I’d just expire on the spot
Kyoto is nice, its like Tokyo but in the mountains and older
and extremely worse public transport but thats whatever
A major reason for that is Kyoto wasn’t destroyed in world war 2 like Tokyo was
I’ll be there 😎
w
tickets have sold out. was there even a general sale or was it all lottery advance?
everything lottery anyways, but it went to the general lottery raffle round
well im glad i got SS tix during the global lottery advance. totally missed the other one
idk anyone who got tickets from general
Nice watch 😍
You know a good restaurant to eat at in tokyo alredy?
For our meetup? Naurrr not yet, do you have any preferences?
Nah ill let you decide, just no raw meat if possible, everything else is fine
idk why it sent the last message again
I'll take a look
poopy internet
what’s wrong with raw meat
buy my flight I’ll be there
idk i just cant eat it completely raw, it makes me wanna throw up
Ok I'm thinking https://maps.app.goo.gl/gfKFu8DUtpvvEVHX8
Raw meat 🤤
btw if anyone knows someone who knows someone who can get me into Sugita lemme know 👀
Aaah, the classical vending machine ramen
It's a popular place so it might be busy and therefore have a bit of a wait if that's ok 🙏 My friend recommended this spot to me after eating ramen nearly everyday in Tokyo for 3 months last year

Or actually what is your budget? I'm perfectly fine with a ramen joint but can also do something a little more fancy if that's your style
I've never eaten over 1.8k yen so far in my 3 week holidays, I'd be up to go for something more fancy
As long as its below 10k yen, sure
try it 🤤
Ooooh do you wanna do a sushi spot? I wasn't looking at sushi because you said no raw meat, thought that included raw fish
sushi sounds good, if u want we can go for that for sure
imma visit the takashi muramaki exhibition today
best art exhibition ive ever been to ngl
Murakami never disappoints
what museum is this from
@honest tapir I know you were asking me earlier about a list of attractions. Here you go - https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1y_eSfDXCPKL4XdqX7_ZCcu6qFB1Yprrj&ll=35.7147651%2C139.79665530000003&z=13

This is a compilation of noteworthy areas and establishments I've vetted for interestingness and/or quality while living in and revisiting Tokyo over the years. These places can serve as recommendations or waypoints to give ...
This is another map I found that is pretty detailed. However I can't verify if the food options are good or not because I haven't eaten at all of them
Dont need to, except for Shibuya Sky and the teamlabs museums
unless you want to book the sunset slot for shibuya shy, i usually dont have trouble booking the week/day of
if you guys don't want to pay for a view of tokyo, you can go to the tokyo metropolitan government building and go to the top for free
same with skytree, i walked in there during golden week and got a timeslot to go up in 1.5 hours
despite having been to tokyo multiple times, i still havent been to team labs and skytree and shibuya sky lmao
im not crazy for team labs after going, it smells like feet there
I can confirm that
team labs one and done
the smell is atrocious
very cool for pictures though and instagram
yeah not planning on going there again, i was worried the whole time to pick up some disease 😭
i just went to a restaurant and its basically the living room, with kids doing their homework and the grandma cooking and helping them, cant get more authentic 😭
I'm going to disney and Harry potter
Bought a day ticket for Disney for like 60$ lmao
I love Tokyo Disneyland so much 🥰
I'm going to die from the heat though but I'll enjoy my day I guess lol
right I spent 250 to go to Disneyland here in California a week before I went to Japan, bought two days for 120….
imma try and get a ticket for universal osaka but the weather is really starting to get shitty now
Enjoy
When me and my group went last year, we enjoyed it so much lol
how
we skipped universal because it’s so similar to the one here besides the anime stuff
We spent most of the day in the Nintendo area lol
Also enjoyed Pokémon so much too lol
The smell would be the planets one, though I didn't have any smell issues when I went there a few months back
Borderless also exists and doesn't have the smell. It also requires a reservation
Really the only things you need to book now are
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Shibuya Sky if you want a sunset slot or team labs planets/borderless
^ yup
I’m going to Tokyo in Aug, so those going to Bunnies Camp please recommend everything to me
@long veldt hello Mr. T one of my cousins is going to Japan from Dec 30 - Jan 14 and he wanted to know some cool things to hit up while he’s there
He’s probably going to AirBNB near Akihabara
Mr T is the servers travel agent 😂😂
I would tell him to wait until after Jan 3
And extend the latter part by a few days
he got his PTO signed off already so I don't think he can change it now
unfortunately
Yikes then for him for the first few days
why whats wrong with the first few days
Jan 1-3 a lot of japan is shut down
He’s basically going to japan during their Christmas
Many things shut down
And the Shinkansen are super packed
On like December 30 to Jan 1
Temples and shrines on Jan 1 are a no go
Meiji shrine would take him like 3 hours to reach the shrine from an entrance
There will be hundreds of thousands of people there
He’s going to need to coordinate to see what’s open during the special holiday hours
I see
It’s one of the few times I tell people not to go to Japan
That and golden week
It’s not as bad as you may think
But it can be rather crazy for a first timer
I also wouldn’t Airbnb
Just get a business hotel
Its better
And probably cheaper
And don’t stay in akihabara
The food is meh there and it’s boring at night
Unless he’s looking for prostitutes
i go to akihabara for the anime figures
Yeah but you can travel there easily from anywhere in the city
No point in staying there

What would I ever do without Mr. T
u ask me
Okay I'm out of bed now
Let me break it down for you to tell him or you can invite him here too
Is he traveling alone?
Does he have his passport? Does he have an ATM-fee debit card?
make sure to get a suica
I'll relay it for now but I can ask him to join once he gets back to me
just let ur cousin add mrt
Nah keep everything here
I ignore DMs and I'm prepping my own trip
I'm heading over in 2 weeks
I'll get back to you once he responds
Something like this would be fine for him. About $63 USD a night for 2 weeks. Business hotel.
Generally I do not recommend airbnbs in Japan, especially for one person
They can end up being higher due to all extra fees
Hotels are much easier to deal with and you know what you're getting.
With Tokyo
Typically the best spots to find a hotel are
Ikebukuro, Kanda, Nihonbashi, Ueno, Akasaka, Asakusa, Tamachi, Kanda
Shibuya and Shinjuku do exist, but their prices are significantly higher than the other ones I listed because so many tourists book those areas
So you may be paying like $100-150 USD for the same hotel chain that's like $50-80 USD in another part of the city
but it doesn't really matter because you can get around quite easily. Tokyo is extremely well connected.
You'll also want to ask if he has an iphone or an android phone
he has an android phone + a passport
he has been in Japan before
this is off the top of my head he hasn't responded yet
Then he needs to get a SUICA if he doesn't already have one
@ruby scroll As for interesting places to go
done that before
切
i have videos too
i made them bow first then i fed
they didnt bow
too bad so sad
didnt give it to them
Tokyo Skytree, Shibuya Sky, Teamlabs PLANETS, Teamlabs BORDERLESS, Ueno Park, Yoyogi Park, Meiji Shrine, Senso-ji, Shinjuku Gyoen National Park, Odaiba Area (Diver City, Small Worlds, do when you do teamlabs planets), Rikugien Garden, Nakano Broadway, Akihabara, Ameyoko Street, Mori Tower, Nezu Museum, Shibuya Tower Records
Just to name a few off the top of my head
my guy are you a travel guide
I'll be going back in a few weeks. May 29 till July whatever
and then Sept 9 till Nov 20
I'm not attending the fan meeting though because my friend isn't going in the end
but I'm going anyways still for IU concerts
so ur not willing to go alone
I'm not a bunny lol
Honestly I don't even really listen to New Jeans
I've literally only heard 3 songs by them
and that was when they were at IU's concert
I'd rather not take a seat from someone who would actually want to go
I was only going with my friend because she didn't want to go alone and very mild curiosity
shocking confession
If it makes you feel any better, I don't follow any kpop idol groups
what
nah I'm not mad about it it was just surprising
thought you were in here because you did follow newjeans

me too
Mostly just artists like IU, Heize, Yerin Baek, Stella Jang, Yoon Jiyoung
Did you buy membership?
no
Ahh okay
so i didnt need it
I'm skipping the USA shows

yea
and the annoying thing is
shes performing at a 17k place
like wtf
there was 80k ppl in queue
I'm going to assume half of those were bots
I do agree that the forum is too small for her

Staples center would have been a lot better
and no I'm not calling it crypto.com arena 😄
@ruby scroll You should also ask your cousin if they plan on heading outside of Tokyo
If he's also looking into day trips
Kamakura/Enoshima, Chichibu, Yokohama, are all good options
He can also head down to the izu area
If he wants to head to Kyoto and Osaka that's an option as well
and he can day trip from Kyoto/Osaka easily
Nara, Himeji, Kobe, Omi-Hachiman/Hikone, Okayama/Kurashiki are all good options
He can even do Hiroshima but its a lot of travel time round trip
If he does not have an ATM fee free card, then he should look into getting a Charles Schwab Platinum Visa debit card
and he should also get a foreign transaction fee free credit card if he doesn't have one
Thanks for the info. I'll prob change my pto request lol
any recommendations for Korea?
gonna fly there instead & just hop over to Tokyo for the concert & back...
Depends on what you want to do in SEoul
Coex, lotte tower, lotte world, myeongdong, gangnam shopping streets, the palace, the national museum, the war museum, Hongdae
Seoul is fun and enjoyable, but the aesthetic wears off on me after 1-2 weeks. I've been there so many times, that I've run out of stuff to do.
be a tourist minus lotte world (not an amusement park fan) & also go protest at the Hybe HQ
I really just pop in for concerts nowadays
Oh I never visit the entertainment companies
its my first time ever so i wanna knock those "must do" things out
Besides I think protesting is a waste of time unless the media takes notice
Corporations don't care about protesting unless it becomes viral/picked up by the news media
At which point it starts to affect the thing they actually care about, money
The palace, the national museum, the war museum
If you like hiking, there's some mountains north you can hike
Myeongdong underground shopping area is good for kpop stuff. The street level is good for cosmetics.
Coex mall is interesting, so is lotte tower's mall
i want to be delusional & hope i see or get invited in by idols

Unless you're a chaebol heir, that ain't happening
does it help if im mexican?
pretty rare in korea no?
I honestly don't really notice
I don't really talk to foreigners when I'm in Japan or Korea
I mostly keep to my Korean/Japanese friends
I'm also east asian and I can pass as Korean or Japanese, so everyone leaves me alone
noted, i'll be with some korean friends so im sure that will be an advantage/of help
I really just prefer to spend time in Japan than in Korea
so I really just fly into Korea nowadays for my concerts and then leave right after
The stuff I listed above should keep you busy for at least a few days
everyone is telling me to just go to Japan instead but the fact everyone goes there turns me off
Korea and Japan are both big tourist hot spots nowadays
Trust me
Unless you go out into the boonies of Korea, which isn't any fun
You're going to run into a lot of tourists
Especially if you're only in Seoul
You're going to run across a ton of female tourists with delusional kpop idol/drama fantasies
Im planning on 2 weeks in Seoul & Busan & maybe sneak in a day or 2 in the boonies
Busan is pretty interesting as well
@edgy ore Honestly though if you want to do Japan but avoid a lot of the tourists
Just stay out of Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto
You can take the ferry even from Busan to Fukuoka
Kyushu/Fukuoka is pretty laid back and chill
Most of the tourists you'll see there are Koreans and Chinese
nah i'd be doing tourist things too as is my first time as well
its just a me thing lol
Korea does have a few things that do make it annoying as a tourist though
Like that google maps doesn't really work there
and naver + kakao maps are terrible in comparison
ive never had to the oppurtunity to travel internationally till last year, so im making a point to do a trip every year
so this bunnies camp raffle win was a gift/push for this year
i missed Lollapalooza because i started a new job so with the news of a potential forced hiatus, theres no chance im missing this oppurtunity
expectations: just have fun, soak it all in
Korea is good for 1-2 week trips
I'd probably do a week in Seoul and then 3 days in Busan
Japan you can really extend into super long trips. I usually do 1-3 month trips there since the country has a ton of places to hit up.
6/19 - 6/25 Seoul
6/26 - 6/27 Tokyo
6/28 - 7/3 Busan
I also admit that I'm a bit biased because mY Japanese is much better than my Korean
something like this, havent booked or planned anything yet
You should really not split it up like that
That's a huge extra expense
how so?
My round trip flight between Tokyo and Seoul was almost $400 USD
So if you're flying from seoul to Tokyo and then to Busan
It'll probably be a few hundred
Seoul > Tokyo > Seoul > Train To Busan
I would just skip busan
or just cut a few days from Seoul and do Busan
and then devote the extra time to Tokyo
because otherwise if you split it up like that
You're going to be paying for another flight that's expensive
and you don't need to fly to Seoul, you can just fly to Busan
Add an extra $80-100 USD for the train ticket from seoul to busan
unless you fly directly to busan
That may be, but I think its just an unnecessary cost
Not to mention you probably don't want to fly in on the day of the concert
In case you get flight delays
ahhh i'll look into this thank u
but yeah
yea good points, i really appreciate it!
I would tell you just to do Seoul 6/19 to 6/25
this is why i havent booked anything yet
and then fly from Seoul on 6/25 to Tokyo and stay in Tokyo
You should really start booking your hotels soon
Prices will start to skyrocket
Especially in June
Flights too
LA > Seoul > Tokyo > LA
That's a much better idea
You may not mind spending the $250-300 USD for that flight
but that's also $250-300 USD you could have been spending on bunnies merch
or albums
or whatever you may want to buy in Korea/Japan
Maybe you want to pick up their Japanese albums while you're in Japan
Plus its much easier to find flights between Tokyo and LA than it is Seoul and LA
Because from my perspective you're doing this
yea that would be way easier but i dont want to feel rushed doing 1 week in each country for the first time
- Paying for a flight from LA to Seoul
- Flight from Seoul to Tokyo
- Flight from Tokyo to Busan
- Train from Busan to Seoul
- Flight from Seoul to LA
Steps 3 and 4 will add another $300 to your trip
Not to mention constant flight and moving around means losing a lot of time
You have to get to the airport 3 hours early, check out of your hotel
and then fly
then get from the airport to your hotel and check in and unpack
By the time you've done that, you've lost half a day
So its much easier just to do this
6/19 - 6/24 Seoul (Maybe Busan too)
6/25 - 7/3 Tokyo
hmmmm good point, missing time from traveling is of a concern for me as i want to maximize my time
ur very informative lol
Yeah factoring in time for repacking, checking out, getting to airport early, waiting for flight, then flying, then landing, then getting from airport to hotel, then checking in, and then unpacking again
That day is pretty much gone
I'm not saying Japan is better than Korea. I'm just telling you what makes the most sense time and money wise.
Plus since its your first time abroad
You probably want to spend a few days in both Japan and Korea if you're going to both.
If you're only going for the New Jeans days, you aren't really going to be able to do much of anything in Tokyo outside of the fan meeting
and then you'll look back and be like
"I went to Tokyo and did nothing but New Jeans....."
im planning on going next year, but this does cross my mind a bit incase i never do end up going again
Plus if you go again next year, at least you'll have a trial run
Spending a week in Tokyo will help you get a better idea of traveling in Japan
hmmm i'll have to check with my friend going with me to bunnies camp if shes cool with staying in tokyo for week
Plus if you really don't want to stay in Tokyo for a week
You can easily just head to Osaka or Kyoto
Though that will be like a $150-200 USD round trip on the shinkansen
nah i definitely do, wanna catch up with some friends there + splurge on that usd > yen conversion
Hit up some music shows while you're in town too
@long veldt if i suddenly needed to buy luggage in seoul, where's a good spot
no pricy
good question, maybe i got the urge to go on a shopping spree at the end of my trip in seoul
Go to a Korea post office
Buy a size 4 shipping box or size 5 even
Go buy packing tape and reinforce the box
Dump all your clothes into the post office box
And then pack all your fragile stuff in your suitcases

do u actually mean it

Lol this is what I do in Japan, I go to Japan post to ship clothes if I don't have a big luggage.
Japan post has airmail with tracking for anything
What a size 4 box looks like on top of a 29 inch checked suitcase
I don't ship the box
I check the box
Lol
Basically buy a post office box and dump all your clothes in it
then take that box to the check in counter at the airport and check the box
Yeah well me I ship it when I'm like buying a lot of stuff and don't want the hassle of bringing it or carrying it
There's no need to buy a suitcase for a flight home and clothes in a shipping box aren't going to get damaged unless the box is ripped in half
Ok but i have a free 30kg luggage on my return flight
Whats the donki equivalent
Yeah I usually am allowed 3x 50kg suitcases
but I really only use 1
Boxes are like a type of luggage though
You can go to ginza karen in Tokyo
they have cheap suitcases
and in korea?
I don't honestly have to buy extra suitcases usually because my 29 inch suitcase can carry everything
In korea? A suitcase?
lmao I've bought one there
I'd just tell you buy the box
it was full of old Chinese ladies
Yeah you can check boxes, but just be sure to reinforce it as T said coz they throw that shit around lol.
A box is fine because its a sturdy cardboard shipping box
and that's why I specifically said to fill it with clothes
It doesn't matter if your clothes get thrown around
They already do when you dry them anyways
If a shipping box gets thrown to the ground with clothes, its not like the clothes are going to break
Yeah lol
Hence why I said to reinforce it with tons of tape
But don't forget, this is Korea and Japan...they actually care
Plus if they lose my box or it gets destroyed
Then my box is suddenly filled with $3000 USD worth of clothes and suits
So they don't really throw it like us Americans lol
with receipts of course to back it up 😛
LMAO
"Yeah. That box had my $600 Carmina dress shoes in them"
"Here's the receipt to prove it"
In all honesty, if its below a certain threshold, they don't even bother checking
They just write you a check
but if you want to, you can always just throw an airtag inside

but yeah
Post office box + tape will run you like $4 USD
Or you can spend like $50-100 USD to buy a suitcase you may only use once
I'm very much against cheap luggage since I prefer to have things that are solid and durable
The last thing you want is luggage breaking on you
As for getting to the airport
Take a taxi or a limo bus
In Korea that's an option since its much cheaper for taxis
In Japan, luggage forward it to the airport
Bruhh I love taking taxis in Korea lol
But Taiwan or Vietnam got it good with taxis
ill be fine
Like it's super cheap than korean fare for taxis lmao
only thing i will buy is lightstick and 2 newjeans shirts from bunnies camp
dont need anything else
Until the FOMO kicks in
nah i know ill come back, probably for a shorter amount of time so i can do enough shopping then
The Japanese yen has plunged to its weakest point in 34 years! This means it takes more yen than ever before to buy one US dollar. This means that its been the cheapest to travel to Japan in 34 years! The decline is driven by a few factors:
Interest...
For anyone interested. This is Miyajima. You can pop by there when you go to Hiroshima.
my guy is too smart
lol I have a photo of that exact spot from January 😄

Isn’t this the one dubbed as the gate to the underworld or was it to heaven?
I'm way too excited
Get some afternoon tea
It's the gate that NJ used when they come from heaven
common doyle W
Weird. I didn’t see IU near it

oof
lol
IU built that haeven gate
On a side note
If anyone wants to go see Japanese Minji - https://www.google.com/maps/place/中華料理東東(トントン)/@35.777207,139.9547586,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x601883c1e00c2a5d:0xba6995ddbcca14c3!8m2!3d35.7772027!4d139.9573335!16s%2Fg%2F1thl5dmd?authuser=1&entry=tts&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDUwNy4xKgBIAVAD
Hello! "Japanese Kitchen Tour".
This channel introduces Japanese food culture, chefs' techniques, and Japanese food.
In addition to traditional Japanese cuisine (sushi, ramen, udon, soba, sashimi, street food stalls), we will introduce a variety of gourmet foods such as local Chinese food, big-serve restaurants, Japanese street food, and sweets...
Its about a 30-40 minute train ride outside of Tokyo
but its interesting
The food is quite good, so its worth the trek
Anyone have experience renting a car in Tokyo? I aspire to be like Lewis Hamilton
It’s easy but driving at the left side of the road scared me a bit
is it too late to get an international license?
Ooh yeah true, I’d be afraid that I’d forget LOL
Very easy to get
Just go to your local AAA
in person? not online?
Yeah I think if you go in person you can get it in like 20 minutes
walk in or appointment only?
she’s always there?
Quite a lot
next time I go I’ll visit
Either get the hamburg steak on rice
the food does look pretty good actually from the videos
You can go to any AAA office without an appointment, but they might be full so better to do it and get an appointment so you can just go in person and be done in like 10-20mins
Anyone going to K-Wave concert?
https://gayo.sbs.co.kr/
Tip for Inari Shrine in Kyoto: Hike all the way to the top, because its not fun at the bottom
don't forget to eat icecream at the waypoint area before going to the top
i ate my lunch there LOL
but yeah, everyone got an icecream, seem to be good
now that I think about it...I didn't eat lunch when I went there...I don't remember why I only ate icecream.
Idk, seemed pretty cheap for the location
1100 yen aint bad for the fact its on a tourist mountain
oh nevermind, I think I ate lunch somewhere before actually getting to the location
damn it was NOT this crowded when i went 4 yrs ago
Tomorrow i'll go through Gion and then the 7 days in Kyoto are alredy over again
7 days in Osaka is next
gotta remember covid made everyone want to travel all the time lol
It was crazy
More people than when i went to asakusa in golden week
well kyoto is like a tourist destination area...so really you'd see a lot of people be there all the time
Yeah i knew what im getting myself into, and i also knew that i'm basically alone at the top
started from the bottom now we here at the top
😭😭😭 broo
the man on top of the mountain didnt fall there

now you will find yo girl there alone too
, ask her out on a date.
what girl
well it didn't happen coz you didn't talk to one when you got to the top

I also ate ice cream and ate lunch somewhere else
I wouldn’t say to the summit
But it really thins out half way up
The summit is so underwhelming
@long veldt Hi friend, do you have a referral code for Ubigi?
S5653Y28
🙏 Thanks!
@cloud quest, Finix will be able to watch Itzy in Osaka. Was able to buy the ticket from the site you recommended haha
YEAH ILL GO WITH MY RYTHM, SAY NO TO ALGORYTHM
wait does that mean you will maybe get the premium ticket from the site?
i forgot i was your test subject
well no one even trying to reply to my requests lol
coz I said it in full english haha
I should probably translate everything to japanese so they can understand that even though I am a foreigner, I can still speak a bit of it lol.
yes. lucky bastard.

my sister said she saw 1 premium but the price is ridiculous, 80k~ yen.
I don't see this wth I only see 120k yen available for male name applicants
God damn
First ride in Univeral Studios, before the park even officially opened, 95 minute wait
Lol even on the week day, lowest wait time is at least an hour
Also what time you got there?
Too late
People be there an hour or 2 before opening lmao
Was like 08:30
Lol
Mugen train too, i think this one and mario are the most popular ones
Ahhh
But i can wait, and i got a time slot for mario alredy
I waited 4 hours for Mario here ☺️
Tim u gotta come to europe once, the best rollercoaster in our park is a 30 min wait on average
With looping and shit
Tf, this years pcs are gonna be rare af
@violet solstice if you win the lottery, can i buy them
Looks like JP membership holders do not have to lottery for the photocard set and will receive them during the fanmeet
that was 2-3 weeks ago. idk now.

i am JP mem holder. so i can get this pcs even if i didnt win?
Sounds like you can yeah
Worth
If I add JP membership now would that count?
Need to have won Bunnies Camp tickets with JP membership to do that and pick them up there.

For GL membership there's a raffle after the fan meeting.

where is the link to reserve the pcs?
If my friend and I both win, yeah 👍
i am INTERESTED if someone else here also wins
me too pls
can i buy yours if you have extra please
Maybe if I get dupes
Otherwise i will definitely get a ot5 set and sell the other members here too
I wonder how many are coming
I want to buy someone’s set too please
you know we got it bad when kira requesting to buy a set too
can you explain to me 1 more time?

so only JP members get a guaranteed photocard set, everyone else is entered in a raffle afterwards?
For those who won the Jp raffle using their Jp bunnies membership will have a guaranteed set when they show up at the venue.
But with global bunnies membership, you have to join the raffle to win
Take note that those who can join global are those who won through global membership applications
And global membership will only receive the photocard set after the fanmeet, if they win the lottery
But I do see something in the jp bunnies club membership email, as long as you have a ticket. So I think if you can show your jp membership and a concert ticket maybe you can get a set??
So those who are accompanying someone and your name is on the ticket and you having a jp membership would probably get one? Maybe?
Coz it did not say anything about if you lose or won the application in the jp membership
So probably a loophole there
We need to make reservation for the photocard set on the reservation site. So I guess verification will be done at the reservation site
Oh so we can register now even without the physical ticket?
Just gotta use the winning application for all the sets for both days?
The “membership benefit reception reservation site” will be open later. I think it’ll be linked to the site for JP fanmeet raffle so they can verify how many photocard sets you get
Wait why is it a raffle for the jp side?
I meant the JP site raffle for the fanmeet tickets
Ahh well my emails from jp bunnies club said benefits will be given on the day with jp membership who got tickets to the performance, nothing being said in the email at all if they have to verify your jp membership if you lost the raffle application
So I have a jp membership and if I can get someone to give me their premium ticket, I don’t think they have to verify that I lost or won the raffle.
It says only those who purchased tickets
So those who won the jp raffle and made payment
good thing i won a total of 0 raffles
Hmm so I guess no companions will be able to register online then
If anyone decides to sell Dani or OT5 please consider me 🙏
Ot5 for me please
well how about those who have JP mem but didnt win, instead they bought it in reselling sites like me.
Maybe try it and see if they accept the online application? I’d imagine a case where friends with membership applied but only one won. Just don’t tell them upright that you bought resell if the application goes through for in person pickup
That’s what I’m trying to figure out lol

Well once I get verification that I got the premium ticket I bought from the resale site, maybe I can get the set too
oh you got one now??
Waiting for seller to verify
Lol I'm still taking the ticket from hanrin for the s seat, the premium seat is basically me trying to get the pcs's
so since i bought 2 tickets, will i get 2 entries for the PC's?
or is it just 1 per membership
We don't really know much right now but I hope so because I've got two tickets, too!
Don't forget to post pics on the #1133955483426881677 thread btw when yall start traveling hehe
I'll be posting a lot when I get there too
@long raptor I'll be arriving next week
Yes
Wanna go to some good seafood place?
I'll be in Tokyo for May 29 and 30
but after that I'm heading to Nagoya for a music festival
Oooo
To nagoya?
lol for the music festival
I am going to 2 music shows on 5/29 and 5/30
Including one at SHELTER
If you've ever seen Bocchi the Rock, Starry is SHELTER
Its a live house
Let me get some videos
Live houses are somewhat small venues. Its a small bar and several acts usually perform live music
Its not a club
Its a music venue with a bar
Aaaah like that
Nice
Yeah its in shimokitazawa
Pretty easy place to get to
Just don't go there unless you're going to see a show
They've had to put up signs because of the anime crowd
It’s an anime
Hi MrT do you have any beginner friendly club recommendations or do I basically just have to throw myself in cold water to experience it 🥹
Experience it solo, it’s fun to do something for yourself once in a while
I havent even been in a club in switzerland, i have no idea how it works 😭
When you go out at night and go to the night life areas in Osaka, if you see a line into a club or like old looking building with lots of people. Go in and check it out lol
Be curious
But just don’t be ignorant
Learning is important when traveling
Whatchu mean ignorant
Learn their ways basically
Like if they say sorry can’t go in here, just don’t force yourself like these other people doing it for views making everyone else don’t have nice things for foreigners
Oh hell nah
I am the most respectful tourist you have seen in your life
But thats also because i am too introverted to cause any trouble
lol
When you say club
Do you mean like dancing, alcohol, and loud music? Or are you wanting to find a place with gaijin hunters?
Whenever you see this, ping me otherwise I won't ever respond.
Do i even want to know what a gaijin hunter is? 😭
Yeah like music and alcohol, just the usual things you see sometimes
Japanese women who prowl for foreign men
thank you
Note that this is a list from a friend whose opinion I trust as he's very familiar with the scene there and also lives there.
I do not have personal experience with it because its not my scene, so I always avoid it.
I’m an occasional drinker, but no one will ever make me drunk when drinking
As long as it’s liquor and not beer
I’m actually allergic to beer but not hard liquor
Oh back to Tokyo this week?
Yees
Last time japan, after that its Korea time
Except for the 24 hours i fly back to bunnies camp
How’s the weather in Japan though?
Very good
Coz I know some of my other friends in Korea are saying how hot it is and the humidity is ehhh
Oh i dont really care about heat at all, i prefer it to be hot lol
Maybe there will be a bit more rain now that its june but it was perfect weather the last month
Yeeeah thats ass
I'll be around there on Wed
We can meet up if you want
I can show you the best cola drink in the world
lol
that's intriguing
Ping me when you're in Tokyo
I'll take you to some great places that won't break your wallet and you'll fall in love with
While also passively aggresively shaming you for not going to IU Osaka

I lost a friend due to this haha
Passively and aggressively telling them they missed a fan sign when they won
But they didn’t go
Hah
And it was their bias too
I've only done a few fansigns
LOONA, Younha, and a few others
I wish I had done IU's Love Poem
but I had a business meeting I could not miss
im actually feeling a bit of burnout from following the concert threads and having seen her in jakarta.. im not that excited for this saturday and im feeling fine missing encore
I understand this but my friend had nothing to do and had literally a lot of time to go to the fansign in Korea and didn’t go lmao
lol
haha I'm only kidding, don't worry
I barely follow the concert threads myself
I was like did you win and took a spot from someone deserving to be there when they wanted to be and you just decided to just not go because you alone
Its so weird
They spend a ton of money to see their bias
and then their crippling social anxiety takes over
and I'm like
"Why?"
Bruhhhh
Haha true
Unless you’re that one person who always wins the fansign
Then they will definitely remember you, just like my bro who’s name is remembered by itzy
Coz every itzy fansign he got to talk to ryujin and yeji all the time
The fact that he shares his video calls with me, and each vc ryujin literally says his name without thinking twice lol. Like she knows who he is when she sees him on the vid

Which of course makes me jealous but I’m no itzy fan haha
Ill never have a fancall or fansign because i dont buy albums on the official site and you need like 200 to have a small chance

Yeah buying into fansigns for major groups is insanity
Like Twice is a few hundred
IVE is also like a few hundred
Its just not sustainable unless you're rich or all of your extra money goes to your idols
Yeah, I mean I’m already a prime example lol. Did GO’s for it and still lose
I am fine with attending every single concert i possibly can
I am hosting my own concert on August 12
wow didnt know tokkitim was a famous idol
@long veldt do you also have a list of things to do in the shibuya / shinjuku area?
Depends on what you want to do
Touristy things, like sightseeing and cafes/restaurants. Nothing extraordinary.
Shibuya sky, Shibuya square, Shibuya parco, tower records to name a few
Kabukicho tower

no worries lol
oh it's magnet by shibuya 109
I went 4 hours before it started, and it was empty af
I think if we meet up at 13:00 or something we should be good to get everything
Problem is just that the lightsticks will be sold out, for that u gotta be there as early as possible (at least for itzy it was like that)
Oh yeah at 14:00 the first item was sold out
Remember the merch for bunnies camp will be available online to be purchased also
Probably will be listed two weeks before bunnies camp and such
But I’ll probably buy mine at the venue for cheaper spending haha
onsite pickup? or ship to add
Probably ship to address
I don’t remember having onsite pick up with the last bunnies camp
Coz if it did, I wouldn’t have cancelled my online orders
Im coming straight from the airport and will just try to get a tshirt i think, and if they sell bunnies camp pcs maybe those
They’ll have a big stock for sure for both days so won’t be missing out
But ill get a binky in korea, dont wanna risk it since i arrive at the airport at like 12:15
Plus theres also the popups, isnt that the same merch as in bunnies camp too
So much stuff i dont like it
Yeah pop ups will showcase all merch from both companies or more
Line friends, weverse, collers
Then maybe ill just get a bunnies camp shirt at bunnies camp
Since the special shirts will be sold at the popup in myeongdeong
When will the popup in Korea be open?
Whats coller? But that is in junw, Muramaki and Fujiwara is in july
Never heard of coller
they're like crocs and jibbitz but for bags and phone cases
I know what to expect of the muramaki and fujiwara merch tho, ill go there for sure
Oh shoot okay shibuya it is
Thats the first popup there btw, they built a whole new building haha
Funny how I’ll be there already before the 26th
Not building, but store
Well then I really have to bring a medium luggage

So I can buy a lot of merch from the popup
i feel so limited
hope the line isn't too long at shibuya..
