Promotional albums are albums that are not sold through a seller like weverse, these albums are like the "beta" version of the actual album. So there is no pre-order benefits along with the promotional albums, these are however are like the first prints as they are already obtained even before the actual albums that we pre order are sold.

That's why when a staff gets a promotional album from the group that is promoting like newjeans, they can sell it for a high price and is due to the fact that these are the "first ones" printed and has been set aside to give as gifts to the broadcast stations.
