But I thought everyone was saying that OWL teams were gonna cut 30-50% of their tank rosters

Answer: There are more DPS and Supports in the league than tanks.

There is a large possibility this happens due to tanks being halved, but yeah, also more players are in other roles

You know, like it is in comp as well

Usually in DPS rotations you keep a third since there's so many heroes. Usually in support rotations you keep a second flex support in case of double flex meta but usually with tanks you only keep two because you don't wanna keep swapping your frontline.

There will only be one tank in the game at a time but that does not mean that there are less tanks in the game. You still need your D.Va player to play D.va and your wrecking ball player to play wrecking ball.
