Now that hero bans are gone, I do think that these playins teams are going to have a lot more flexibility

The issue with all the NA teams in the first round of play ins is that they have two versions

A version that makes top 5 teams struggle

or absolute ape magic where they can't do anything

Washington's had a really bad and disappointing season, but they've shown potential
While Paris wasn't even expected to be that good of a team this year, they really shocked me with their performance.

For the Washington vs Paris game, I have it going 1-3, in favor of Paris

Boston improved a lot this season, and that was basically guaranteed after Season 3's last place finish. Boston have great potential to create upsets, and we've seen that in action against teams like Houston. Boston, however, doesn't look like they have a lot of confidence in the ball comps, and like to stick to Orisa. Whether or not that works is going to have to be seen.
Toronto replaced the Uprising in the Countdown Cup as a great team in qualifiers but a terrible team in knockouts, and they looked solid almost the entire time, even picking up a map against the Shock. Toronto has shown that they are capable of beating these low-mid tier teams, but they really struggle against top tier teams. Whether or not Toronto had their confidence diminished after the Countdown Cup will play a large factor in this matchup, as well as if Boston feels like upsetting for the Playins or not.
For the Toronto vs Boston game, I have it going 3-2, in favor of Toronto.

Honestly? I don't give the Uprising much of a chance against the Defiant, but I also wouldn't give Toronto a chance either.

Both the Uprising and Defiant have taken one map against the Shock, so they're basically on even playing fields when considering a vs Shock game.

Whether it's Toronto or Boston, I see the Shock winning 3-1, yet again over both teams.

But you never know, every team has a chance at winning this. Every team can upset, and every team can underperform. Things can go drastically differently than the way I predict them to go.

I didn't even think the Uprising would win that one Houston game that cost the Outlaws knockouts.

They're doing quite the opposite the game has been in the works for the better half of two years. and the release date isn't even scheduled for 2021 or even 2022. Tanks are going to be completely re-worked to fit the 5v5 team comp. it's going to be fitted and balanced to where one tank on the team is balanced and two tanks would be op. for instance zarya is getting more bubbles for her teammates... effectively doubling her protection and making it to where she should never ever go below 80% charge. rein had little to no knockback effect. two firestrikes to where you can in theory go from 0->50% ult charge in a matter of seconds without even engaging on the enemy team. Hog will have more health and be able to heal more... as a role they give about half the ult charge they used to give to other roles. so where as if a tracer put on clip into a hog's head she previously would have gotten close to 40% ult. she would now get 20% and hog doesn't even have armor... It's very well balanced and personally I can't wait to play tank in OW2 for the sole reason that I don't have to worry about getting a decent main or off tank... All tanks will be a main tank and I'll be able to do what I could do as zarya, rein, hog, ball & winston even better without having to coordinate with an extra tank. I personally love playing with an off/main tank when we're in sync but I really don't see this as a detriment to the game
