Teams can underperform in their early games, this does not mean theyre going to be consistently bad (shock underperformed against both la teams last year, shanghai underperformed against chengdu last year and this year both at the start of the year, but both teams are top tier.)

The only thing I would like to add to this conversation is even though a team is great/played well last season doesn't mean they will play as good or better or worse. The metas change, the rosters change. It doesn't matter how well teams perform in one match or two or three. What matters is what happens over the season. We're obviously going to anticipate teams like shock, shd and glads to be strong but they can underperfom or just absolutely stomp. I'd rather see this kind of discussion and silly theorizing about how houston v glads will go than a heated debate of which team is better because of what
