You can be trash while being drastically better than me. And its a fair assessment from the team themselves, they ignored major issues in Stage 1 because the meta was beneficial to them. And it backfired and bit them in the ass for two whole stages, thats a major misstep and it cost them a huge amount of map score which can, very likely, bite them in the ass for the Season 1 Finals. With this current meta they have a chance for redemption, but yeah.
It's not disrespectful to say they screwed up, majorly. No one magically becomes above reproach in any position, anywhere.
In fact you open yourself up to it even more by becoming a major figure in any situation, so you have to iron skin it or collapse under pressure.

basically, you use your personally bubble and bubbles that you can give to your allies to absorb damage from the other team. as you absorb damage, your laser or whatever it's called gets charged so you can put out damage. the higher the charge, higher the damage. graviton surge is can either be completely ineffective or hella useful depending on how you use it and what you combo it with.

@limber pine Honestly I do blame them, because they're limiting their DPS when they've got a massively slumped and not improving Birdring.
Also I think Woohyal is more questionable to me. I think its nice to have two off-tanks with distinctly different play styles and almost identical stats.
If you compare Woohyal and Fury they're literally almost identical. Differences /10 min are in the range of like.. .2
Yeah, there we go, I Winston'd their stats the other day because I prefer Woohyal (I find his aggressive style infinitely more impactful, but London sucks at aggression)
They're almost identical in terms of percentage of team kills. (17.7 (Fury) v. 18.1 (Woohyal) Woohyal has slightly less deaths/10 minutes (3.68 (Fury) v. 3.36 (Woohyal)) Fury has slightly more kills/10 minutes (6.42 (Fury) v. 6.26 (Woohyal))
On another tangent, including Birdrings slump Hooreg is actually statistically a better dps on quite a few heroes.

@supple prism Completely unproven but from what it looks like it is a distinct difference and lack in coaching styles. Its been hinted by both sides (hastr0 and Kyky) that it could be either ones fault. However as Kyky was fired I'm a bit more believing in him wanting things to be a little bit tougher and getting shut down. However he was fired, so spite could taint this. I don't trust Hastr0 at all, he has a bottom line to cover.
So they ended up with a relatively washed up EnvyUS that historically was unwilling to put in really hard work for practice (noted by Tailspin and Hulk upon their departures at different times that there were some people not meeting everyone elses efforts, no names given)
Then they added some new people to it, but with too much overlap and continued with a chunk of bad coaching and management.

For most of the other stuff there's outstanding issues, Freefeel is not great but he's improved and most of his issues now are the same thing that can make Rawkus either really good or shit.
Freefeel is basically Stage 2 and 3 Rawkus right now.

Tldr Boston is good, Dallas are still bad, Shanghai are bad but they have geguri so we love them, NYXL are still the best team, everyone else is a tossup

Houston either do mediocre or amazing depending on the patch
Boston, Philly, lav, lag, Seoul, London, Houston, SanFran are basically all on the same level. Their distance skill and performance wise is fluctuating and very small
All we can say now is that NYXL is #1, Mayhem is #10, Dallas #11 and Shanghai #12
And Mayhem are basically just good DPS making the difference

Freefeels basic flaw is the Rawkus syndrome, but since its Shanghai its more relegated to him being shit
Also known as Chipsajen Complex.
Where the positioning isn't great, but he also gets left alone a lot.
Which means a counter dive onto him is really easy and effective
Houston countered it by treating Rawkus like Jjonak and pocketing him more.
Dallas just benched Chips.
And got Unkoe.

It's finding the middle ground between having to babysit him or play aggressively. With the overall meta change in 4 to being not all dive comps all the time he's actually lived a noticeable chunk longer.
Beyond that Diya is one of the better Widows in the league now that he's back in stride, Ado had near top stats on Genji but now he's struggling that Genji isn't nearly as much of a thing.
I actually think for a while he was statistically beating out Profit on Genji.
They just have some disconnect when they hit the stage.
They win in scrims quite a bit, then they get on stage and something breaks.
Right now the only unredeemable team in the league without a lot of firing/hiring is Dallas.
I'd be surprised if Hastr0 could run a treadmill at this point.

I think it depends entirely on how Glad tries to run stuff. Their biggest issue, imo, in going against another team that understands the meta is that (so far) they've used a DPS Zarya, and a Off-Tank Brig.
Which works, but they lose some flexibility.
Whereas Houston uses a specialized Zarya, and multiple Brig players.

1.22 proves that Brigitte is actually pretty balanced if you're that good - and you can play a lot of things.
