hi! im new to the OW esports! I’ve been following Valorant’s since ‘21 but since I’ve been playing OW for like.. a long time I thought it would be time that I should get into their esports. If anyone could give me the need to know that’d be lovely! Esp your favourite teams, players, that and all!! thank you so much 🩷

owcs splits korea, EU, na into their own categories, and 3 teams from na and EU and 2 teams from Asia come together for international events like twice per year

top 3 Korean teams (zeta, falcons, CR) are better than every EU and na team

I don't know much about NA other than they have like one single team that can compete internationally

stage 4 for EU and NA is currently happening, teams are fighting for a spot to go to stockholm at the end of november

for NA they have toronto defiant as the only team that can actually do something

for EU there's ence, ssg, vp and piece of cake who are pretty good, but I don't think any of them can compete with the Korean teams (maybe ence and ssg if the meta is good for them)

for players you'd need OWL knowledge which I never watched cause I hated the franchise shit so I can't help you there but I'm a true EUhead so I like all the EU teams (except for TM, fuck youbi)

if you're just looking to watch, I'd suggest watching some recent games, especially recent asia finals, watching OW esports related youtube channels (ATP Overwatch is probably the best for someone new) and talking in this channel

you want to understand the game

and that, that is MUCH more complicated

different kinds of comps, differences between them, meta patterns, different playstyles even within the same hero, etc etc

as for who is good or bad, the strongest heroes at any given moment dictate what other heroes are good because of hero synergies

and who the strongest heroes are depends on who gets buffed or nerfed

of course not all heroes who get buffed are instantly top tier but I think you get the idea
