My hope is that we get a complete do-over. I want regional splits, and regular global tournaments, in a way that it's all-year-round and allows for a yearly global final tournament. I want these regions not to be buy-in but play-in, you rise through the contenders pool but also can be relegated into such due to poor performances and being last place. Teams like Vegas this year should be put a Tier down in my opinion, while O2 Blast for example definately does deserve to be OWL for quite a while now. (different regions, just giving examples though)

Some time after midseason madness, it was made public that the OWL would pay any team choosing to disband prior to the 2024 season would be paid a buy-out of 6 million dollars. No team can afford to leave that type of money hanging, even the high earners. That is more money than each single team ever recieved in payouts for success during the league, 4.2m being paid to SFS being the highest number there.
That means right now we need to work on the assumption that the league is going to pay 114 million dollars to the 19 remaining OWL teams in order to disband the entire league.

I need to reiterate the point. 6 million dollars is nearly 2 million dollars more than the winningest team in OWL history earned during the ENTIRE OWL time. No team, even the highest earning/richest earned team, can leave that money on the table for anything other than just love to the game. And unfortunately, I just do not see that happening with any team.

Imagine the distinct chance to qualify yourself for a spot in these teams by pure skill, pure gameplay. But also if you fall off, you won't be carried though for multiple splits. Whenever a global tournament happens, after that, promotion/relegation should apply. I genuinely believe that'd be pretty damn amazing for the league to become a great competitive environment.
