So i used to be a professional sports performance specialist and gymnastics coach, and realize esports critical failure: growth of the game from a grassroots level. Like in traditional sports, sure there is a professional level, but the NBA, NFL, etc, aren't responsible for the sole marketing and promotion of basketball and football, respectively. Its grassroots programs that make up a majority of the athelete base.
I feel like we need something similar to that in esports, but overwatch in particular. esports "clubs," like programs make to actually teach people the right way to play instead of just being like "oh, you're bad. get gud."
like when you think about it, the only "game growth" comes essentially from blizzard marketing, which is dumb. we all who play and love the game should band together to create communities of people who work together to teach and promote the game whenever possible
