I just had a tank game on route 66 where we were about to full hold but then got steamrolled because zarya on point + ultimate bum rush
I was playing queen and our comp was mercy moira sojourn soldier for the majority of it

so I am the only person who can effectively brawl on payload, with moira backing me up, while mercy pockets a HS on high ground
I tell my team that not charging the zarya is the key to winning this game because if she is not charged, she cannot be a threat to me because moira outheals her damage and i can live through other sources playing around a corner with bleed and shout
since this zarya composition was just "discovered" like a few weeks ago, my question is
what actually makes this composition good
because for centuries, denying zarya charge is the key way to make her a cosmetic hero
the instances in which I can see it actually getting value is when you have a genji or reaper
someone who can gain extended value by existing in a backline much longer than usual, and cannot be ignored due to their threat level at close range
everyone says zarya is busted, best tank in the game etc etc, but without one of those key things, isn't her fundamental weakness of "needing to get going" just exposed

Zarya literally is the win condition in almost all games because of her abilities and beam, dva can’t do shit against zarya with her DM, what most d.va players do is just shoot at her even with bubble, it’s almost non existent to not give zarya charge unless your team is fcking flawless at timing their shots. She can run into your backline and you can’t do anything but shoot at her and when you do she gets charged your supports die and it’s repeat, the Zars team is also pumping damage into you and the zarya herself, it’s just not possible to not shoot at her with bubble bc you go for someone else and they’ll get bubbled, zarya will almost always maintain 50-60 charge steadily. Monkey rein dva ball hog Orisa just can’t counter without giving her charge, and the deflects don’t do shit either
