How does one, who loves in Busan, which is on North Korea right?, Accidently wind up on the opposite end of the world in Australia?
Korea isn’t that far from Australia, also Busan is in South Korea, which is even closer to Australia
Well that's my bad on saying North Korea 🙏,
Korea is pretty damn far from australia
Not 'the other end of the world', but it's like saying someone from UK would accidentally end up in eastern Russia
My thought process was, its in the eastern region, Australia is down south ,but yeah that not as far as I was, exaggerating I suppose
yeah only archives and base skins are actually canon, even if it has a description it’s usually worldbuilding or a joke
or a what could be skin
like all this sommer chill skins for ashe or widow are just outfits they would wear when they chill
Not all archives skins are canon
like the recent historical ones
And there are non-archives canon skins
Pumpkin reaper is a Reyes costume he wore for halloween for example
well its a bit complicated not gonna lie
there's no hard rule as to which skins are canon and which aren't
BBQ Soldier is lore canon im sure
That's incorrect.
As mentioned above
There are non-canon Archives skins
And canon non-Archives skins
There are some canon non event skins as well, pretty scarce though
That's what I said
Lets take Widow for example
- Odile/Odette - One of these two, the cover was a third outfit of the same design but different colour - Masquerade
- Talon - Redesigned helm and more skin, but her Talon uniform - Legacy
The first is a launch skin, the second is Archives
sorry, I don’t look at skins much and assumed that archives were the only lore accurate legendarys
Pretty sure Junkrat’s circus skin is canon, but I don’t why Roadhog doesn’t have one if it is
I thought a read some lore to it a long time ago, but couldn’t remember
And because Roadhog goes everywhere to “guard” his employer
We both know he just want that money from Junkrat lol
Junkrat is not a clown. That circus skin was just one of the epics for Storm Rising. All 3 of those epics were related to things that Monaco (Max's base of operations) is known for. Circus, Grand Prix, and Casinos
Yea, I got that when finding by mistake that an Overwatch fan found that connection. I just didn’t say anything about that because I wasn’t sure it was actual lore between those three
There isnt
Didn’t think there was, though I did see the reference to them bring things from Monte Carlo. Though, I never would’ve gotten the Junkrat circus one
Continuing this skin conversation, I think I'm speaking for all of us when I say we need a Halloween Rein skin.
He has 2 outfits.
There's the admiral costume he wears to the party
And then the king costume for within the Junkenstein AU
Neither are a skin yet though.
I was just about to say the Admiral and I completely forgot about the king costume
Both would be amazing
I can imagine the King skin would have a claymore or greatsword of some kind, which would be awesome, but I can't think of a hammer replacement for the Admiral outfit
Anchor
Ooo yeah that's a good one
In hindsight I can imagine why Overwatch didn't make any of those as skins yet
The theme with Rein is that he's wearing some sort of armor, and both don't have armor
It would be difficult to make that skin whist keeping the hitbox the same size mostly
Having the king have some sort of crusader armor would be cool though
Totally
There's just a lot of skin ideas that would be so good for Rein
The Admiral or the King skins would be most fitting for the Halloween event I think, but the pirate skin would be good for an OWL event
Pirate is unrelated to the lore
True true
Here's a lore question: Does anyone know how Rein's armor works? I assume it needs to be charged as well as the hammer, but is there any kind of lore about it?
Like is it just full-on steel/titanium armor or does it have any hi-tech properties that makes it better then normal plate armor?
It seems to be conventional in design, besides the booster he uses to charge.
Yeah
Pretty cool to have a rocket-powered plate armor and hammer combo though
very creative
Well, Overwatch is the most creative game even now. It’s got a modern, syfy, fantasy to it
It’s like Star Wars, but not overly futuristic or magical
I only say fantasy because of Reinhardt, Brigitte, Genji, and Hanzo using ancient weapons and armor in a futuristic design
That said, what exactly are Genji’s and Hanzo’s dragons? Are they pure holograms or something else
Its theorized they are hard light or someting
Hardlight was a guess of mine too, but seeing them go through Hanzo, I don’t know
Sym's orbs go through people too
There are also other permeable applications of hard light as well, such as barriers
Which are one way
was that in the comic?
Actually there is a light spectrum that could go pass into human body
The dragon blade and Hanzos bow I believe are just proton projectors just with a nice little japanese edo period makeover.
The comic adds the energy drain properties that we first saw in Dragons.
same technology probably yeah
Well, the only other time I saw Hanzo actually use his dragon and they do the same thing was in another animated short Heroes of the Storm against Alexstrasza. Not really lore, but his dragons did the same thing as they did in Dragons
So, maybe his dragon doesn’t kill, but rather just drain his target’s energy to leave vulnerable for the kill, but Hanzo only uses it as a last resort.
When have they been shown to do this? In game they explode on contact and they don't appear to travel through anyone in her comic.
A lot of gameplay features strive away from lore, primarily for user experience
yeah there are plenty of abilities ingame that aren’t even confirmed to be used in lore atm
Not really my point.
I'm saying they haven't been shown to go through people.
They used to go through shields but even that was a long time ago.

That works too
That specific example wasn't clearly shown in the lore. In A Better World, we see her orb has weird properties, but it doesn't look like it is a solid object to me. Back when we first saw it in game (yes, not a source,) her orbs were 1:1 identical with Hanzo's dragon except for the wall penetration. In multiple sources such as Honor and Glory or Hero of Numbani, we see that hard light tech and barriers are permeable and can go through matter (or matter can go through them.)
Yo there hasent been lore in 4 years
so it is assumed, not actually confirmed
I mean, it might only be a light effect or hologram for Genji’s Dragonblade, but Hanzo’s Dragonstrike seems a little more complicated.
Unless that’s a special tattoo that can create holographic/hardlight dragon constructs
Though, I don’t think that would explain how Genji can use his Dragonblade to control them and send them right back at Hanzo
We literally got some two months ago, and we have more coming up soon too. If you're just here to shitpost, you will be removed.
hanzo probably could've sent them back at genji
it's my guess that he was too shocked
shimadas can control the dragons
probably not just their specific dragon
all shimada dragon technology
so it makes sense that genji can manipulate other shimada dragons
it's the same technology
Yeah that does make sense
I thought hanzo was more surprised at the fact that this 'random assassin' could control the dragons? he didn't know it was genji at that moment
yeah he didn’t know that’s why he was surprised
if he knew it was genji he wouldn’t be surprised
Whats being escorted in the payload on the Numbani map?
Doomfist Gauntlet
The one in spawn is a hologram
Oh
It was the same with the gauntlet
I knew that, obviously
The payload projects whats inside the payload into the spawnroom as a hologram
If only they did that on Hollywood
We finally get a face reveal of Alfred Glitchbot, if that is his name
It is
Alfred for OW2
Although, that is actually possible
Maybe he'll be part of the plot
I like his remarks about certain heroes and places
"Jesse McCree? What sort of name is that?!" for example
*unsure if exact quote
@desert edge Alfred is proven to be a non-combatant. I don't think its a reasonable exception
Probably not
What, Jesse McCree? That is a terrible name for a cowboy.
Will we ever find out how soldier 76 and reaper knew each other?
Maybe in Overwatch 2?
like, before Overwatch?
yeah like basically there are voice lines between them talking about how they knew each other
It’s pretty creepy
We know that already
they met in the US Army and both joined the US Army's Soldier Enhancement Program
They were friends for 30+ years
before being recruited into Overwatch
Reaper is Gabriel Reyes
One of Overwatch's founders, and as mentioned above, a pre-Overwatch friend of Jack
Or if not friend, they at least knew each other before the crisis
And 100% became best friends during and after
Besties?
For most of Overwatch's time, yes
Their relationship started to sour as Blackwatch became more exposed to the public
Morrison got a lot of shit for covering for Reyes/Blackwatch, and started to distrust him after he found out that Reyes was keeping secrets from him (like hiring Moira)
Reyes continued to keep things from Morrison, and he might have blamed Morrison for leaving Ana behind on that mission
without Ana there to mediate, their friendship fell apart
Old sym orbs pierced
still praying for ball to be in a cinematic or two
i need to see more of this character he's amazing
it would be weird to see Hammond in a serious short
I want sigma in a cinematic
it's already hard to take a talking ape scientist seriously so why can't we have a hamster in a mech
how does Hammond act human?
i mean bastion is very similar to hammond in that he acts like a scared and confused animal and doesn't speak
i hate to answer with a question, but how doesn't he? he doesn't tend to tap into animal instinct or anything he acts just like a human, a small, scheming one at that.
I just can't really see him being anything but comic relief
Overwatch have a lore?
i mean the mccree/ashe and junkrat/roadhog cniematic is pretty much a comedy so it's not out of left field to have a comedic cinematic
nah it's just a game where you shoot people no lore involved whatsoever
if it helps, I can't really see Junkrat and Roadhog being anything but comic relief either
well yeah
that's because they're pretty much the established comic relief characters
but you never know, they could surprise me
Overwatch have many lore
When 2 release its gonna be happen
Do not ask here ask elsewhere
Roadhog has a serious backstory
But that doesn't change the fact that him and junkrat are basically comic relief
Yeah, they don't even treat being criminals seriously
yeah giving them actual characters at this point seems like it could feel like a 180 turn and really doesn’t seem like a good idea
It feels like, especially in the second half of the 21st century, it wouldn’t be that hard to catch junkrat and roadhog
Anyone here a Sigma lore fan?
I know it is well known by now but reversing the Sigma Origin video gives these really cool messages.
Yeah it's neat
There's not much sigma lore overall to go off though
Some deconstruction can be done.
Like his Decahedron Hyperspheres.
Which are a cheeky little reference.
The Hedronic structures in Platon’s geometry were a representation of the universe.
So, Sigma using Decahedrons containing black hole singularities is quite literally Blizzard saying that Sigma has the universe in his palm.
Another fun fact. His Russian Ult line translates to: “I hear the song of the Universe.”
I personally love that more than: “The universe sings for me.”
Tho, both are iconic.
very interesting
mayhaps
@iron plume, is there any lore on Genji-Mercy shipping?
Or can we chalk that up to speculation?
There's suggestions to that end in their voicelines
Ooh.
it's not officially comfirmed but it's the closest hero x hero pair we have
Damn, damn.
They're definitely at least close friends
Yeah, that we can agree on
Since they have the chocolate dialogue.
And the Swiss base dialogue.
The Storm Rising things too
Which one?
There's a bunch of dialogues between them in storm rising story mode
I see.
Oh, I had a question. Can I buy McCree Blackwatch skin with Creds during the event or will it be lootbox only?
Like Genji hanging out with Mercy after hours
Although Mercy jokingly attributes it to him being the only one who can stomach her coffee
Very interesting.
All lootbox skins are also puchaseable
Mercy is kinda sinister in the lore ngl. She can ressurect the dead in game yet she couldnt even restore genji's basic motor functions. And he got the cyborg stuff after joining overwatch. My film theory is that mercy chose to not heal genji so he would join overwatch. She had to witness hanzo v genji if she as near enough to save him then leads him on and creates an emotional connection for his garunteed forever loyalty and to save face quits overwatch ("Overwatch was shut down for a reason maybe its best it stays that way")
Hmm.
Sigma’s angle is worse.
Mentally ill man kidnapped by terrorist force to be used as a living weapon without his knowledge.
She can't actually raise the dead - that's just gameplay
Genji was left unable to walk after his fight against Hanzo - Mercy saved his live but was unable to regenerate his body
there is no tech for regrowing limbs
or spinal cords, if that's the case
true
And she didn't quit overwatch, she was still in it when it got shut down
She was just hesitant to rejoin
true
also
She had to witness hanzo v genji if she as near enough to save him
not necessarily
other Overwatch agents probably rescued him and brought him to her
there's nothing sinister about Mercy
Would he live that long?
it's very unlikely that Overwatch's head of medical research would be on the ground doing surveillance on a criminal empire
True.
True.
if you agree then why did you say it?
Mccree rename has been confirmed. Wonder how this will be integrated into his lore
Maybe McCree was a name he chose for himself, and is now reverting back to his real one, or on the flip-side maybe he's choosing a new one for himself
Could be.
Maybe he goes, “Huh, people are tracking me down way too often. Time to go off grid.”
Picks a name like Arthur Van Der Lynn or something (XD).
Especially since at some point him and ashe aren't on good terms anymore and maybe he wants to leave the name behind him like deadlock rebels
Could be.
Maybe Echo reminds him of his past and he just feels like he wants to scrub it all away.
Say what you, but it’s still bull. You look up McCree and who do you think will pop up?
The game character. Not the shitty dev he’s named after, who has been given 0 credit for anything but name
The tweet also confirmed a new "narrative arc" in September. I wonder if it's a series of comics or short stories or something like that
I'm hyped for that
same
Maybe he can finally accept his name as Joel
Yeah, lol
Lore question; why does reaper want revenge?
what have been the possible explanations
What is the lore with Malevento being cursed?
he blames morrison for causing the accident that made him become a wraith
there isn't much, just what is mentioned in the patch notes
yeah theres talon in malavento I found it
yeah I just saw that
the maps all exist in a weird state of past and present combined - on Havana, Max's car is still crashed in the spawn garage
malavento translates to underworld
Well, maybe Max’s car was designed similarly to the US President’s limo. A car which has gone through many different changes
It would make sense that his private vehicle would be heavily guarded, even if his bodyguards were to be taken out first
That’s right, the presidential limo the secret service calls The Beast. Max’s car would designed similarly. I don’t think all the same features all things considered, but it’s a possibility.
That would imply Reaper having a Talon skin hen he first joined them
I'm all for reaper having one of those.
As much as I would love to see what Reaper looked like between his Gabriel Reyes skin and default skin, I don’t see it happening. Blizzard has their hands tied
Finishing up OW2, renaming Jesse McCree, rebuilding his lore to fit said name change, etc
Though, if I had to guess what a Talon Reaper looked like, I’d say something resembling Blackwatch Genji if Moira heavily experimented on him
Reaper's default look is his Talon look
Probably been wearing that for nearly the entire time
does reaper want to die cause he says hes in endless agony
Honestly reaper is kinda hard to read
yeah he’s edgy and probably almost immortal so he is probably suicidal
I said that he’s an “edgy” character who seems to be (almost) immortal, but it was a guess based more so on what blizzard most likely would do than based on the actual lore
edgy doesn't mean suicidal
I would look to the Hanzo Genji Interaction to best describe reapers situation
Hanzo: I do not fear death!
Genji: of course, it is living that you find to be the challenge
I don't think reaper actively searches to die, but at the same time he doesn't fear dying and would embrace it with open arms if he happens to die
Hope that made sense-
It did
I like it
Okay, I now have time to explore Malevento
Will probably regurgitate shit that was already posted here.
I think its the same asset from Petra, but I dont think theres significance
Its just windy
Am I missing everything or is this map... Boring, story wise
There's just the one room with Enforcer shotties
yeah, there isn't as much as I was expecting
the Dexerto article called it a "Talon base"
but that's more like a Talon motel room
It's interesting that Talon would bother stationing out in the country side of Italy
Well, I’m sure it was a former base. Kinda a safe house or something along those lines until Talon up and left
After all, hide in a safe house until the job is done. Take everything that isn’t nailed down and leave like you were never there
Leaving only a big shotgun and car blueprints
so mccree is gonna get a name change
what does this mean for the lore?
That sucks. I like his name
The name McCree is very unapologetically cowboy
Yeah.
Though, I'm all for it being Arthur or something.
That sounds epic. Just like Arthur Morgan.
they'll probably use Joel
I don't see that happening.
If they do, the Sombra McCree spawn interaction will not make sense.
they'll remove that interaction
Oooh. Yeah.
they're going to change all the voice lines that reference his name
Or Clint Eastwood, who I know had to be alot of inspiration for McCrees voice, his overall vibes, etc.
Damn.
They made a lot of references to Mr. Eastwood's films.
naming a character after a person is how we got into this mess
I love Westerns so I saw the references.
they're not going to do it again
True.
I feel like they are going to keep his first name Jesse.
But the last name will be changed.
McCrees name will live on in call outs though
it'll never really disappear
I imagine people aren't gonna stop saying "Cree low!""Cree on the right!" Etc.
the name will still exist in Reunion and Trainhopper and Deadlock Rebels
it will still be the name he was known by at one point
Me and the boys just call him "McCree walla"
"McCree walla flashing!"
imo, the best way to deal with this is just say that Jesse McCree was an alias he used
and now he uses a different alias, or went back to his real name
Mhm.
They could say he felt unsure about working with Ashe and stuff and so gave her a fake name.
I know people are gonna make last of us jokes, if they change his name to Joel, that's also a nice explanation
No, the Joel thing is something else.
It was the alleged name for McCree that fans came up with.
But then Blizzard said it was Jesse not Joel.
And also that McCree hates being called Joel.
True dat tho.
Joel comes from this:
it's speculated that Joel Morricone is a pen name, and the article was written by McCree about himself
I believe Joel was also a name they were considering during development
I had a different source.
Also, cool reference to Ennio Morricone there.
Composer of the Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western music.
so they could change their mind and say yes, Joel Morricone is McCree and that's the name he's using now
That's actually a really good idea.
Cowboy is kinda bland
They could also call him Chimney.
chimney?
For the amount of cigars he smokes xD
Like a chimney, smoke always coming out.
Ooh, what if they name him after Eastwood's characters?
His character has no name
Like Monoco from "For a few dollars more"
They called him Monoco.
Huh. What about the start?
When the Sheriff says Monoco and we cut to White Rocks and Eastwood?
In The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, I know it was Man with no name.
I think just change his last name but keep Jesse
The Italian just says "The one armed guy" which is "il Monco" in Italian
Why not call him something like Jesse Ace or something. Ace could work in a way like ace in the hole
Like Cayde-6 or something?
It doesn't matter what they name him.
If we get any past tense stories, they'll either need to shoehorn his code name in if he gets one, actively avoid using Jesse McCree, or just give in to the inevitable bad writing that comes up with this problem if they refuse to acknowledge it entirely.
So we probably won't see McCree in the past anymore.
They will however keep his name in the animations and stories and whatnot
Which is a relief
In future animations/stories ?
As much as people don't like it, they will give Mccree a title
Like gunslinger or Lone ranger
No, just those that already exist
what is the cover story for the name in the future, so we know?
McCree will forever be McCree😭
We dont know
most definitely as far as i've seen on the storyboards
I feel like the game would be so much more fun if every hero actually had a long lore story and connections between heroes instead of just relationships
Talon agents (including Sombra and Widow) are sent to attack Zen, Genji steps in to defend
though, it was a storyboard which are always subject to change
Ah okay
ow2 storyboard *
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I would post the gif but I don't think I have embed perms
Doctor Six would have it

We did get Zen lore
This is a dead meme
When
Less than a year ago
Stone By Stone: https://bit.ly/36EsPul
it's got the same logo, so yeah, same asset
Quick thing
but isnt changing mccree going to affect the WHOLE lore line??
Like surprisingly he is one of the most lore involved characters lmao
hes connected to nearly everything
regular overwatch, blackwatch, echo, ashe etc
The past content won't be touched
They will have him go by something else in future content
Whatever the case, I’m still calling McCree by his first name. It just rolls off the tongue better than anything else they could give him Jesse McCree
call him clint
I'll continue to call him Jesse McCree until they announce his new name, then I'll call him by the new name
no need to be stubborn about it
Why not call him Jesse Ace. It’s a play on the word Justice
It doesn't matter which of this Josse McLastname choices are thrown out.
They all have the exact same problem
They're not Jesse McCree
Yeah. His name just sounds like an original cowboy name.
I mean
idk
it just feels like a pr thing
I wish they would actually put in more company policies or something but idk if this really does much lol
but idk the name change is fine with me tbh I don't care too much
This has been happening to Blizzard since before Overwatch. I doubt a name change will do much more than just make fans force a petition to have it changed back
lol
No joke. Who wants to bet fans will put out a petition to change McCree’s name back to Jesse McCree the moment they hate his new name?
Well, that’s exactly what made this name change go through to begin with, so it wouldn’t be surprising to go back around full circle
So, does junkertown know that a hamster is the pilot of the mech that isthe current mech arena champion?
One thing I want to see in the future is a total narcissist added to the roster. While some of the cast are cocksure of themselves, none of them are of a "Let's admire ME for a bit" or "You may now worship me" level of narcissism. Something like Duke Nukem, Johnny Cage, Draven, Qiyana, and so forth.
They're so full of themselves that it's basically comical, and that's what makes it work. It'd be hilarious to add that to the roster.
This isn't really a place to discuss Hero Ideas I don't think
they don't know
it's speculated that Bruce might know, because Hammond built his mech in Bruce's shop
That would make sense, wonder what the reaction would be
if Junkertown found out they'd probably want to put him in a cage and/or hunt him for sport
Tough
@dawn oxide Agreed
Ive written before about how I want a "Johnny" archetype
Called because so many characters named Johnny fulfil that personality
Cage, Sfonzi, Bravo
that would be super interesting actually
You knowhow characters will say something when on of their teammates gets a 2-3k or something? Like Soilder says "you trying out impress me?" The Narssicist hero could say something like "couldn't have done it without me!" In a condescending tone, as if they did most the work.
Sounds like Moira to me
Maybe, but given how Overwatch is, I don’t think we’ll get someone like that. For obvious reasons sadly
I seem to be out of the loop, why wouldn't they?
And technically speaking, I think Junkrat kinda is already a narcissist if you think about it
Junkrat and Moira aren't narcissists
Such as a voice line of his. “My genius is finally recognized”
Yea but Moira’s tone fits the narcissist imo
No. Moira doesn’t seem like narcissist. More condescending
Anyone who doesn't have a degree in whatever science she specialized in
I think Sigma has the fewest interactions among heroes
I mean all things considered he's "New" to the game
there's an incomplete interaction - Sigma's side is in the game, but Moira doesn't have a response yet
Isn’t he the second to last hero released
Sigma has a bunch of incomplete interactions
ones for Moira, Zarya, Tracer, Mei, Reaper, Winston
Main components to what I wonder
Well it's a long story
Probably
It all started with this ape
well
if you want to start at the beginning
it all started with the Omnica Corporation and their promise to produce enough omnics to provide economic stability for every country
a promise they had no way of achieving
There was an idea. The idea was to bring together a group of of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could.
That actually hella fits
IKR
The Overwatch team is actually just the Avengers 🤣
In a way, yes
Exactly. Overwatch though doesn’t have aliens, sorcerers, or other supernatural/paranormal beings
I can’t say anything against super powers bc of some heroes
in this case, our "Nick Fury" is a woman named Gabrielle Adawe, who was responsible for gathering together the 6 founding members of Overwatch
Yeah. I wonder what happened to her. Hopefully she’ll appear in OW2
Imagine an archives mission taking place around that time
she's mostly spoken of in past tense, so she's probably dead
I think I remember her name in Numbani attack spawn
the Numbani attack spawn is the Adawe International Airport
Gotta be a pretty big deal to have a airport named after you
Well the more you know
Maybe something like "I got you that kill. Let's hear it for me!"
Anyway, after the Omnic crisis ended and peace was made with the Omnics a new era began for humanity and Overwatch grew
Now that segment of like what? 10-20 years I'm hazy on lore wise
Yup. That could mean she’s got a history in Numbani and could possibly appear there for any number of reasons.
At most we will probably get a face reveal
👍
granted, this is from First Strike, which was never officially released
so it shouldn't be considered canon
NGL. Am I the only one who pictured her as Amanda Waller from Suicide Squad?
she does remind me of Waller
Because that’s what I picture when I think of her
Lol, I do get Waller vibes
Either Waller or Fatima Jha from GEN:Lock
Depending on how Blizzard chooses to designs her
I imagine it won't stray far from what we see in that panel
I guess, but we see Reinhardt looks exceedingly different. Especially in OW2 with that beard and hair bun
If anything Rein just looks older
but he shouldn't look older
this was 30 years ago
he should look younger
it's a good thing First Strike was never released
I can’t lie, Rein in that panel looks like that guy from Ghost in the Shell with the prosthetic eyes
Lol, something else I wanted to ask about is the Ligang Tower Wheelchair, you know it and you love it. Well really it's more so about Dr Chao, who is definitely the owner of said wheelchair
Is she still the head of Ligang company?
yes
at least, according to the billboard on Lijiang Towers night market
Lucheng Interstellar to start a new group of top aerospace projects.
试图与"地平线"月球基地重新建立联系
Attempted to re-establish contact with the "Horizon" moon base.
抹团現任CEO曾经是月球基地的驻站科学家
The current CEO of the group was once a moon base station scientist.```
About that last one...
You know the crazy thing, Reinhardt stole Thor’s look 😂
Chao has been leading Ligang Company for...awhile, since The Uprising Mission which if Im not mistakes is as early as what? 7-10 years ago?
Yeah I meant to say storm rising
the space station they mention is the one you can see a hologram of above the control center map
which is the one that Sigma likely conducted his black hole experiment on
Anyway, I find it off that the billboard would be addressing what should be old news, if she has been such a well known figure for 6 years. Maybe there's another Lunar Colony member we don't know about that IS the current CEO. Maybe that's a stretch, maybe not
And no I don't think it's Winston (The human scientist)
it's not that weird
Maybe that's also why the wheelchair moved
Bro, that space station looks like the Justice League’s watch tower
Chao either was demoted or stepped down, and moved offices as a result
Just as valid
or it's just there for the audience
Or maybe that space station is a reference to Oberon from Planet of the Apes
the previous version of the billboard just listed off things about heroes - Soldier: 76 in Dorado, Mei visiting the Himalayas, Winston's Recall
things that Lucheng (or whoever runs the billboard) would have no reason to be reporting on
Oh yeah today I playing a match a heard a sigma line that was news to me, basically it was Sigma throwing shade at Zaryas gravity technology
Yes that one!, Something that made me "Hm??" Was the way he used Todelsteins, like they were a family of inventors or something, Todelstein does sound like a last name when I think about it
Tobelstein is probably the name of the inventor/s who made the Tobelstein generator, which is what Zarya (and Orisa) use to power their gravity-based weapon
I'm thinking, Volskaya gets tech from that one omnic, passes it on to Mr./Ms. Todelstein or whoever, and that's used to create the reactors
I don't think it's related to the omnic tech
that tech went towards creating the svyatogor mechs
That's pure precision Russian Engineering.
probably an AI of some kind
There's a possibility of whatever powers the Mechs to be from Omnics.
Its not possibility
It is.
Whatever it is, it is from the Omnics
But that's also unrelated to the Tobelstein
That's a different technology entirely
Reaper and Winston was complete a while ago
Oh yea
this one too
Ngl sigma probabaly could stabilize reapers condition
if Moira can't I doubt Sigma could
he's an astrophysicist, not a medical doctor or geneticist
I thought this one was for tracer but I don’t think she really wants to be cured
she'd want to be cured more than Reaper
Who do you think the “time is a illusion” one is for
probably Tracer too
Most likely for reaper since tracer is already stabilized
Temporarily though.
The chrono accelerator has anchored her for just as long as she wears it.
Or keeps it near her. She doesn’t have to wear it to stay anchored. Just keep it near her. Honestly explains how she bathes and sleeps
I never thought there would be lore for a 1st person shoter
This feels like a tracer one
It is.
Wow
So, is Echo an Omnic with actual sentience and freedom of mind like the other Omnic characters or....Is she just "Echo see, echo do" not doing good because it's right but simply doing it because she was exposed to only good and merely copying the behavior of say Dr Liao?, Because that's how I interpret Echo, she doesn't feel "Genuine" if that makes sense.
do we do good because it's right or simply because we're copying the behaviour society expects of us?
also Echo isn't an omnic
roles don't exist in the lore
Well whatever she is. And as for your first question, being a good person is indeed a learned behavior, but to me part of my that learning experience is also seeing the evils of the world so you go "Wow...that's some messed up stuff! I'm gonna be the best version of myself so I don't contribute to that!" Echo as far as I know has no such experience. So Is her "Good" simply just being a no pun intended echo of Dr Liao?-
I mean when has gameplay ever been 100% Lore Accurate.
so hasn't Echo learned through observing?
she is sapient and has free will, if that's what you're wondering
but her programming allows her to mimic the behaviours and skills of other people, so she takes on the personality of the people near her - which for most of her life, was Dr. Liao
I'll definitely be more convinced when her morality is truly tested.(if that ever happens) such as Bastion going against his directive to hangout with Ganymede.
Fair
she always asks "what would Dr. Liao do?", so I don't think her morality is questionable
why do people think Echo should be support? nothing she has done in the lore is supportive/healing
Another thing I just remembered that I would like some clarification on, if possible. So like....Null Sector fights for the freedom of Omnics, yet have no issue mass producing disposable robots for their armies?, Like I said clarification would be nice because right now-
2 biggest I have seen are, her design "screams" support, even though I don't see it, plenty of heroes prove design alone doesn't determine role
Second is her lore, designed to be the bridge between Omnic and Humans, the pioneer of peace!, Which is...fair I guess?
Lucio is a freedom fighter, who led a rebellion in his city - that means he's a damage hero, right?
True, lore and appearnce don't lock someone into a role, unless their a big beefy person.
Honestly I think it's mostly just "UGGGGH!, A 17TH DPS WHEN WE STILL ONLY HAVE 7 TANKS AND 7 SUPPORTS?"
well anyway, roles have nothing to do with lore
yeah I think we have had this discussion before that if roles and lore were intertwined it would be a mess
Echo was designed as a support hero but changed before release
what does that have to do with the lore?
Nothing
How do Jesse and Ash know each other like what is there history
Also does road hog have a daughter?
they met sometime during their adolescence and later formed the deadlock gang
and no, it doesn't seem like roadhog has children
at one point while they were in the deadlock gang, overwatch caught them in an operation and Reyes gave mccree the choice of joining blackwatch or rotting in a maximum security prison
Which is how mccree joined overwatch and left the deadlock gang
the only way to leave the deadlock gang according to ashe is to die
so ashe isn’t happy with him
Oh that makes sense but why wasn’t ash caught?
skill issue
Why is Reinhardt and the other crusaders so huge compared to other humans?
Also are all the other crusaders dead by now?
Reinhardt isn’t a ginormous guy per se, but he does have massive armor.
probably lol
No, he is huge
It's seen in some of the ow things
In yt
he’s not that big.
I’ve seen him in brig’s story thing and the two cinematics
he’s a big guy but it’s mostly his armor making him that way
True...
Ye and I’m the cinematic he’s like two feet taller then brig making him like 7 or 8 foot but with armour he is like 12 feet tall
Rein is said to be about 7'4" without his armour
Taller than hog for 1, who's 7'3"
because she didn't existed yet (she was only created when they did Reunion ) but I bet they have some explanation for that ready somewhere if they intend to tell that story
maybe McCree got caught so she could get away
So humble
in the novel he got arrested for starting a fight defending his friend
McCree is that kind of guy
Character Design....jkjk.
The crusaders were a elite branch of the German military, I'm sure Rein and other crusaders had to go through special training, be put on a certain diet, etc. Etc.
And that results in the refrigerator of a man You see here
they probably also recruited people who were naturally large statured
As for if any are alive....most likely there are Crusaders who are alive but have left the battle behind, as opposed to Reinhardt to still itching for a fight
I think I read somewhere that the Crusaders were all dead with the exception of Reinhardt. There weren’t that many of them to begin with if certain conditions were required.
We see one in the Last Bastion in a flashback, but don’t know if this was someone from Honor and Glory. In which we see Rein and their leader along with two other crusaders, one of which looked like they were killed when an OR jumped onto them and the other didn’t appear after they were getting overrun
Regardless, those two unnamed members are only presumed dead, so there’s a small chance they’re alive, but don’t hold me to that
That one in Last Bastion is probably dead, I mean there were hundreds of thousands of Bastion Units there.
Well, like I said, there were only like 4 or 5 Crusaders. It’s kind of understandable if there were, because elite group or not, these might’ve had to be of large stature, go through intense training, or even have been genetically enhanced like Jack and Gabriel.
Any of these could be the case if not all
The one shown in The Last Bastion was Balderich, Reinhardt's mentor I believe.
Oh shit!, It is Balderich!, I went back and watched last bastion and paused those frames during the flashback scene and yeah...that crusader looks an awful lot like Baldericj
Also rewatching that scene, seems Rein learned his Firestrike from Balderich.
Also, since Firestrike is a canon thing, now I just wanna know how it works. Is it some built in feature of the Crusaders Rocket Hammers? Or just some technique invented by...I assume Balderich-
Ironic.
It looks like it uses the hammers flames to shoot a projectile, somehow by whipping the hammer straight up its shoots a fireball
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it comes off the hammer’s thrusters
Considering how earth shatter exists most likely reins hammer has some crazy properties ignoring the rocket
It could be a little more complicated. There could be something of a gas release on the hammer that releases a limited amount of gas or oil from the hammer that catches on the thrusts and launches the arching fire known as fire strike
That’s my best guess anyway, because I never actually questioned how some of these characters abilities work. Hell, I question how Bastions can fire bullets without seeming to run out.
I mean, do bastions build more bullets within their bodies or something
I don't try to explain abilities, the devs probably don't have one
I mean bastion units were built to be expendable foot Soilders, I'm sure they had massive ammo reserves built into them somewhere,. But since they would most likely be destroyed while out in the field the omniums wouldn't bother giving them any sort of way to self sustain their ammo. Because I mean they'll die but we have millions just like it and can build more if we wish so what's the big deal?
Well, they were the main force of the Omnic forces. Alongside things like titans and spider tanks and cruisers
Though, I don’t know if these cruisers were factories or like what Null Sector will be using years later, but it’s more likely not given the group’s surprise in OW2 demo.
Though, that could just be due to never actually boarding an Omnic cruiser before, but that does raise the question, what happened to said ships after the crisis?
I mean, you’d think governments or Overwatch would do something to keep anything from the crisis from falling into the wrong hands.
My theory is Null Sector somehow has access to an Omnium
Well, every Omnium is heavily monitored by nations. So, it may be hard to believe that. Though, it’s not unlikely. It could depend on who Max or Doomfist have in their pocket
where does it say omniums are heavily monitored?
most of them were shut down during the crisis
I’d assume they’re monitored or watched by companies like Helix. It would be dangerous to just ignore Omniums, regardless of them being shut down. They were literally shut down before, but somehow reactivated and started building war machines to wipe out humanity. I doubt anyone would want that to happen again, so monitoring these places is the best option in case of this happening again.
An example of something like this happening if what happened with Anubis reactivating after it had been shut down before, forcing Helix to step in to shut it back down.
I know Anubis isn’t an Omnium, but given the danger it posed, it may as well have been one.
Numbani has an omnium
or at least, it's implied that they have one
Null Sector must have some way of mass producing troops
The lore people of the OW team could easily say "hey, there's this other omnium that the humans missed!, And Null Sector is using that!".....bit of a cop out though I admit
I kinda assumed Null Sector had access to an Omnium before their assault on King’s Row, which would explain how they got their hands on Bastions and OR14s, but it wasn’t clear how they did, so that’s just speculation
I’m hoping OW2 fills this information in by taking us to where Null Sector came from. They had to have been hiding out somewhere. Building their army with Talon’s assistance and waiting for Doomfist’s ok to attack targeted cities
Either an Omnium or some third party is supplying Null Sector with their armies
In OW2 you can make the theory it's talon at that point who is giving Null Sector their troops
That would also explain all these fancy null sector units we see, such as the puller
Well, to be fair, Null Sector in King’s Row seemed to only have enough troops to assault and take control of one city. But if Overwatch hadn’t stepped in, it mostly likely would have spread to other surrounding cities.
To be fair though, we don’t have a clear idea to how big an Omnium really is. All we really have is artwork that can be changed. Though, from what I’ve seen
I imagine there just large factories. As shown in the artwork.
If I remember, I think Junkertown is made up from the remains of their Omnium. So, maybe about the size of Junkertown
yeah
To be more specific, its "built from the remains of a destroyed omnium"
It’s still a good indicator of how big these factories really are.
So at the very least big enough to where it's remains can be used to build a place like junkertown, which itself is a decently big joint
True. We haven’t seen all of Junkertown though, but it’s safe to say these factories were huge if they could build an army in a matter of hours or days
Oh yeah wasn't the Gwimshin Collousus was built in an Omnium, another indicator of their size. It's safe to assume they are MASSIVE structures
That too. I’m not 100% on this, but of course these factories more than likely also built the cruisers that carried a number of Omnic troops into battle. So they probably would have to be huge for such things.
Now though, Null Sector doesn’t have to rely solely on a grounded factory to invade a city. They can bring the factory to the city instead and drop in as many troops as they wish.
Who said the flying facilities were omniums
I think there was some dialogue in the Rio mission that indicated that the Null Sector ship functioned as a factory
The Rio mission also had them go into the ship, revealing that it was a factory
Okay. But was it an omnium?
I‘ll have to rewatch the video, but I don’t think they called it an Omnium specifically
Okay yeah. Rewatching it, they board the Null Sector ship and fighting their way through the ship, enter a part of the ship where Mei notices the Omnic parts on various belts and states that it’s a factory. Tracer follows up saying that’s how they’re able to keep troops on the ground
So no. They don’t specifically call it an Omnium, but hints that it resembles one. Though, it is literally the first time we have a ship in Overwatch. So, I don’t know anymore than anyone else if all Omnic command ships are like this or Null Sector’s is just new. We’d have to wait for OW2 to know for sure
I really want to know how the story continues after this with governments
They said overwatch is illegal didn't they?
I wonder what kind of problems that brings around
Probably the same thing that happened in Captain America: Civil War
!asven shitposting!
Do you think the worlds goverments were justified in shutting down Overwatch?
Honestly, yeah
Ah, and why's that?
I myself from a logical stand point can honestly understand why they did it. Because with heroes comes villains and because of these heroes also seeming to overstep their boundaries from time to time to do what is right. Such as getting involved in King’s Row or Blackwatch in Rialto.
But, from a… eccentric point of view, I think it was also foolish, because Overwatch was supposed to be a beacon of hope, justice, and peace for the world, but without them, the world became far worse. The world needs heroes again, even if that means the heroes are seen as criminals for doing what is right.
I think even though with overwatch causing more villains they shouldn't have shut them down completely, without them everything just got worse
The problem was, Overwatch created Black watch
whats blackwatch?
its like a secret ops from overwatch
commanded by reyes (now reaper)
it was formed by him, genji, mcree and moira
mccree didn’t form it
Ok, thanks!
How to u access the lore? Is It on youtube?
This is a guide for people who don't know where to begin with the lore of Overwatch. The first thing is probably to go watch the shorts. They're popular, easy to consume, and pack a lot of story and character.
Shorts Playlist: https://bit.ly/2UQyTeL
There are many comics, short stories, and blog posts as well. The most important ones are:
Binary: https://bit.ly/2IzNvJy
Masquerade: https://bit.ly/2IzNTI0
What You Left Behind: https://bit.ly/2Fh7MRz
There is also an important chain of events following Ana and Soldier 76 (and Mercy at the end):

Old Soldiers: https://bit.ly/2KLILTV
Bastet: https://bit.ly/2QuXHmM
Valkyrie: https://bit.ly/2CF5JVE
The rest of the stories are mostly optional. Special mention goes out to the Junkers, who have an entertaining string of stories:

A Moment in Crime: http://bit.ly/2fMsVYB
Going Legit: https://bit.ly/2InZUkm
The Plan: http://bit.ly/2uZiitC
oh there it is
There's a bunch of shorts but also comics and text-only stuff
Including two novels
Thank you!
Seriously Blizzard, just make an Overwatch tv show or movie already!!! We fans want it!
it takes time and money to make shows
I know, but they made those awesome animated shorts. Seriously, whoever the writers and animators are could give Pixar and Disney a run for their money
Blizzard's story and franchise development team are some of the best
Yep. Hell, it doesn’t even have to be like the animated shorts, even though that would be amazing. I’d also prefer the anime style they did for Doomfist’s short
In my personal opinion Overwatch has some of if not the greatest video game movie potential I have ever seen.
The best potential are the stories that should be impossible to fuck up.
Overwatch is not one of those.
So, are you saying Overwatch does or doesn’t fuck up?
Im saying it can very easily fuck it up
I mean, I don’t know. It would very much depend on who they have developing a story, who they have writing, and who they have animating. I personally think they can do it. Just do what the creators of Star Wars: The Clone Wars did with their 7 season series
pretty sure an OW movie somehow would get fucked up
I doubt it. And honestly, I’d prefer a series.
Season 1 — Golden Age of Overwatch
Season 2 — Waning Years of Overwatch
Season 3 — New Overwatch (After OW2)
That’s just how I’d see it being done
A TV Series is different than a movie.
A TV Series has more screen time for stories to develop.
A movie would cram in too much to get it all to fit in to 2 hours
Honestly I don't blame anyone who would be dismissive of a video game movie, Detective Pikachu and Sonic were pretty special cases.
Animated TV shows into movies are worse (Avatar the last airbender) or am I wrong?
some are, but the ones that do tv movies are usually fine
I saw Detective Pikachu, but not Sonic. Still gotta watch that, but I do see what you mean.
That said, the movie doesn’t have to be the Overwatch we know. Why not have the movie be during the Omnic Crisis with the first Overwatch? Then progress into a tv series. Clone Wars did it. Rapunzel did it. Big Hero 6 did it.
Clone Wars was an abysmal movie, and the Rapunzel and Big Hero 6 shows were a mistake
I respectfully disagree with Big Hero 6 series. I liked that
plus if you want actual good lore a series is better than a movie because you can fit more
And Clone Wars was amazing too.
the movie was bad, the show was good
The movie and show we’re both great. They were at least better then Last Jedi
But anyway, an Overwatch movie can’t cramp too much lore into what? A 2 hour animated film?
My dream animation overwatch content would be an anthology miniseries, in which each episode would focus on a hero or heroes
I think if they were to make any kind of thing it'd have to be a series, theres no way you could try and get a decent amount of lore into a movie and it still be good
the story missions will serve basically the same function
Yeah, that’s why I interpreted a movie/series for Overwatch as such:
Movie — Formation of Overwatch (Omnic Crisis)
Season 1 — Golden Age of Overwatch
Season 2 — Waning Years of Overwatch
Season 3 — Return of New Overwatch (After OW2 story missions)
I think a movie like would take place near the end of the Omnic Crisis. Was it ever revealed exactly how Overwatch ended the war?
by shutting down/disrupting the omnic command
The final battle of the Omnic crisis is something I would love hearing more about
In highly secretive missions, they targeted the omnics' command and control protocols. After great sacrifice and heroism in a series of dangerous raids, they destroyed it all, rendering the omnic armies inert. The Omnic Crisis had finally come to an end.
it was more stealth and strategy than open war and battles
Yeah, that’s why the movie should come in towards the end of the Omnic Crisis. Seeing Jack, Gabriel, Ana, Torbjörn, and their new recruit Reinhardt in action. Even Mina Liao when she was alive and helping Overwatch stop the machines she had a hand in creating
It’s either that, or Overwatch being formed for the first time. Like an origin movie. Seeing Jack and Gabriel when they fought only for the US. Ana when she was in her Egyptian military. Maybe even Torbjörn and Reinhardt’s actions.
I’ve always been of the opinion that a novel series of Overwatch would be amazing similar to the Witcher series or game of thrones. Just full r-rated, have it get violent and gory at times or have sexual content and really explore and develop each hero and the world of Overwatch.
I don't think R-rated content would be appropriate for Overwatch
the game is rated T, so the lore should match that
No, it wouldn’t work out. Blizzard already went through multiple lawsuits for harassment. If they did anything like GOT, they would get sued again and probably not come back from it
Seriously, Activision is probably putting their foot down on Blizzard to get their shit together to avoid anymore delays, finish developing OW2, and get the game out within Spring 2022. They don’t need to do anything else that will cause such problems.
how did mcree lose his arm if theres anything abt it, cause in blackwatch he has two so surely theres a reason?
I don't think we've been told yet
I could be entirely wrong but I remember something like "Sym gave up her arm" for the light technology
thanks, also cool bio
sym is an amputee I’m pretty sure
mccree’s case is intentionally vague
he said it best himself
it’s a story for another day
probs in a mission
"Always admired yours, figured I'd get one of my own." McCree to Torb
though this was an in-game quote, they aren't always canon
or bob ripped it off
in the cinematic ashe mentions ill rip of your other arm
¯_(ツ)_/¯
that's been one of the main theories since that short. it could very well be that
just search it up and apprently junk and mcree were tied together and they cut each others arm of with a laser
bob didn’t rip it off
I don't think the junkers have officially interacted with anyone outside of junkertown, besides Hammond (more-so his mech)
After defeating the police enforcer, McCree realised that the handcuffs him and Junkrat were tied with had a tracking device on them. After trying the laser cutter on the handcuffs and realising that isn't working the both had to cut each other's arms.6 Nov 2019
reunion was the first meeting of ashe and cree since his captures
this is fanfiction
not canon
oh okay
mccree had 2 arms in blackwatch
Something between Blackwatch and "current-day" happened which we do not know of yet
which took place in between their last meeting and reunion
guess well never know
Wasn't there something about McCree supposed to be released soon-ish but was delayed?
we haven’t gotten many details besides that there was apparently a gameplay aspect
I’m thinking it’s a weekly event
I don’t feel like blizzard would pull out something actually unique for overwatch
and release it
could just keep milking deadlocks rebels I guess
although he already has a young skin
I don't think it'll be about Deadlock Rebels honestly
I don’t think so either
Whatever it is might be something new, or most likely something referenced in the past
Are skins canon? Cuz I would love to see a story of Genji living as a nomad for a while in the desert given his Nomad and Bedouin skins. Perhaps he would even interact with Pharah. Or given Dva’s junker skin there is a storyline where she ends up stranded in Australia and fights in the mech arena for some money and maybe Interacts with wrecking ball and also hog + rat.
Not all skins are cannon
there's an upcoming story arc that was delayed due to having to work in the rename, but it should be out before the end of the year
my guess is in November
sounds good
some skins are canon, but there is no official of what skins are canon, so it’s mostly a judgment call on the community’s part to decide which ones are canon
We have ones that are definitely canon and they're the ones that show up in canon material
But the others still might be
Technically, Soldier 76, Reaper, Ana, Mercy, Torbjörn, and McCree each have a canon Halloween skin
Yeah, but that’s not a Halloween skin ironically
and Jack
I made a gallery of all the canon skins a while ago https://imgur.com/gallery/N2z2U6W
it hasn't been updated recently though
Jack — Daredevil
Gabriel — Pumpkin
Ana — Pirate
Torbjörn — Viking
Angela — Witch
McCree — Van Hellsing
They announced Malevento, but still no lore post
When did we get the Yamagami letter?
Was it before or after the PTR debut?
it was when the map went live
When they dropped the Kazezaka map
if we get lore with Malevento, it will be when it goes live
Is been inconsistent in the past
I still say it was one of Talon’s hideouts, but was abandoned at some point
they said it was a secret Talon base
If you were running a global terrorist organization, wouldn’t you want to have several hideouts
Though, Talon seems to mostly be based in certain locations in Europe
Not surprising considering the Overwatch HQ was in Switzerland
Also, I like that Talon banner. Honestly, in a world like Overwatch, it seems so retro.
that room is the "Talon Base" they mentioned?
yes
I'm not sure how to feel about that...
it's not much of a base
yea
unless its just a potential location they plan to have a base for future story?
but if its just that then it was a little over exaggerated for the words "Talon Base"
Well, and I’m just spitballing here, what if this is where Talon was born?
A global terrorist organization doesn’t just pop up out of nowhere. It has to start from somewhere this place could very well have been where Talon was founded before growing
At best, that would explain why it almost looks old and abandoned
Well, I’m not saying Talon was founded in ancient times or something. If anything, they were founded some time after the crisis. Plus, it was just a guess. We really don’t have anything to go from this map yet
it would make a little more sense if it was their starting point
Yes. Exactly. Not unless this place is hinting at a new Talon character in some way. Which would be good, bc we need a new member of Talon to make an appearance
Most FFA maps have a connection with certain characters, both current and new. So this wouldn’t be a surprise if this was another
Petra doesn't
I remember looking at a tablet-looking device with some stuff written on it in Petra, any clue what that's about?
might be old news but
yeah that thing
the image is a little blurry, what's it about?
Archaeology
it's a conversation between the archaeologists about the statues found in the ruins
anything to do with lore at all or is it more to do with map-building?
statues which can be found on maps associated with Talon - Chateau Guillard, Rialto
that’s pretty interesting I didn’t know that it has anything on it
Well, I don’t know what to say about Petra, but the people excavating are also in Ilios and Thailand
Not sure if that’s anything important. Not unless someone has an interest in stealing priceless relics from such places
we won't know if it's important until it's important
That said, why does that symbol on the screen look very familiar
similar to Vishkar, i think, but not exact
That’s why it looks familiar. What is this pic from
is that the newer map on the PTR?
waaaay off in the distance
Hmm. Looking back, Faisal is talking to someone in his messages.
Someone who’s funding their excavations in Petra, Ilios, and Thailand. I wonder who this mysterious character could be
the other person is called Idannidas
which is a Greek name
Survey of the uppermost levels of the temple is almost complete, planning for excavation of the lower chambers. Our greatest finds so far are the statues of Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite, and we are hopeful they will be the first of many.
it's another archaeologist
Well, that’s someone Faisal is talking to in Petra, but in Ilios, seems to be a different person
Wait, that’s also on Petra
im just saying watching you guys talk is addicting
the only thing we have for Ilios is what Athena says in the dropship if you stand in the cockpit
I was referring to the other iPad next to the tent on Petra. Thought it was Ilios until looking closer
Athena briefly talks about Ilios and Talon when you approach the cockpit.
also there's Widowmaker's "eventful vacation"
Do criminals get vacations
Was that the assassination of her husband?
got anything you're curious about?
You never know, maybe Widowmaker just had a nice time in Greece?
That seems to be the case.
The delivery of the line is particularly sultry as well.
More than usual for Widowmaker I mean.
Widowmaker always sounds like she's flirting with someone....at least to me-, kinda adds to her creepiness, but I see what you mean
Perhaps it is....not outside the realm of theory to say...maybe Widowmaker did some cough Promiscuous things. Perhaps it was part of the plan to reach her assassination target
I think it's pretty obvious that's what she is insinuating. They were not only a married couple, but a married French couple.
It was almost certainly before she got roped into Talon though.
I was referring to after she was brought into talon, she's "emotionless" and more than likely sterilized. And based off the masquerade comic people don't give a damn she's purple 😂
Well, a nice time on the beach isn't exactly "eventful"
But hell maybe she base jumped off of the colossus or something
There probably was some mission but it wasn't the Gerard thing
I couldn't help but give Ms Thighs the benefit of a doubt 🤣
This may have already been asked but what’s the deal between Roadhog and Junkrat? Like how do they know each other and are they friends etc
I would like to know the same thing
Long story short
Junkrat found a valuable treasure in the ruins of the Australian Omnium
People from junkertown and even the queen herself wanted what Junkrat had, and they would not hesitate to kill him for it
Junkrat enlists the help of Roadhog to pretty much be his bodyguard, in exchange Roadhog would get a share of the money whenever Junkrat sold the treasure.
This is pretty oversimplified-
Also they probably aren't friends. Roadhog seems extremely annoyed by Junkrats behavior
