yeah, this is why the animations often feel slightly alienated from written or recorded lore, because it would be rlly hard to depict the same degree of power and a realistic balance between two fighters every time. yeah in previous content doom beat multiple OW agents, but that was because it was his job to be the Big Bad in that era. in this era, his job was to be dethroned, and the plot armour was passed to Vendetta instead

Doomfist theoretically shouldn’t have lost as easily as he did but they wanted to show vendetta as being so powerful she could easily defeat the person they spent a decade building up as the most powerful threat in OW’s world

i think fika has no lore cuz she was released early and her lore is a part of hammonds lore, and she was a rescue hammond saved when he visited luchang intersteller and that evil science lady- he was went there to steal stuff for junkertown but ended up doing some personal work too.

i think we will see in a junkertown story arc, more information about what hammond did after/during the "thoughtless gods" story- and in that story arc i think we will see hammond find her in the files and make the decision to ghost drop fika at watchpoint gibraltars landing bay (where brig first saw her) because dispite his frustration with winston, he thinks she will be safer or happier with him or just the overwatch org in general than the chaotic and frankly dangerous enviorment that junkertown is.

the very fact she is "young kitty" means luchang or any other org is doing ground tests, or that means a new space base will come into play- which i doubt even more than the explination she was a ground test

so if ground tests are going on, then i doubt wreckingball dident run into some of those files when he literally raided the company responsible for the original process

i doubt any other company would have access to the process either- given how they literally started on the moon to keep it secret- meaning it had to be luchang, meaning wreckingball must have saw something in his raid, and i feel like he wouldent turn a blind eye

and then on the australia to gibraltar- he just crossed continent and stole flight material from luchang- i think he can manage driveing a cat to a base, he likely dident even take her to australia- he would have most likely taken her straight from her labs to gibraltar, but he could have taken her to junkertown and realized it wouldent work- that part could go anywhere rlly

honestly not to kinda switch sides but if u got purrfect luck i think its possible to get a jetpack cat especially in the future- some cats are really smart- and some rats even drive cars in labs for fun after being trained with treats- in a real life senario even now in the "past" of overwatch world governments could definately get a cat to fly something if we trained them with treats and found the perfect cat, probably good dieting- the biggest hang up is teaching the cat to use the joystick to fly- i suppose using a glove to temporarily attach the paw to the stick and let her figure it out paw forward means forward in a gaurdrailed trainer machine or simulation

but theres even like brainwave tech that can pick up when ur thinking of something, so u can think of forward and it can pick that up its real u can google it some youtuber drove a car with it once, that would be more feasable with the cat than the joystick

give it treats when it shoots moving targets

the bullets have a dual effect with intent

so maybe it does pick up on fikas feelings towards the target

or at least some future version of friendly signals used in real military combat planes and stuff- the operating system you can hear probably just scans for friendly and non friendly signals that each agent wears and changes the effect based on that- meaning her combat training can really just consist of "shoot humanoid target for treats"

and then teach her to hide from unfamiliar faces and to stay well behind friendly faces, shes a support not a dps- in lore she would always be put in the safest possible area close to the exfil with zero expectations but that she shoots at you to heal u and be cute

from there if the cat is smart enough through enough simulations she could even learn to avoid snipers or sniper angles cats have good eyesight like they watch birds n stuff

i think she uses buttons for up and down which should be easy to grasp

plus, in all we've seen so far of the Hashimoto, the yokai (and even Kiriko on her own in several instances) have managed to win against the Hashimoto... now with Hanzo and OW on their side I could see the tides turning on the Hashimoto's hold on the region

Kiriko, unlike anran and wuyang, don't need a 'so what' for why they're in the game, why they're shooting hamsters in blizzard world. Given there's no playable pve, it's not like we need to concentrate all our eggs in one basket (though the ow v. talon framing seemed rather like trying to consolidate). Narrative resources to side ecologies can be done alongside ones to the main overwatch fight, and that split actually lets you focus ont he most relevant characters, rather than have a glut of like 18 people who each get like two panels, as we see in united.

And if by some miracle they resllt went through with it it’d have to be some outsider character without too much impact on the main story so its either

-soldier 76/conspiracy story (might still be too revealy)
-illari (interesting POV but would ultimately end up with sombra, soldier 76 and moira às the only characters basically, so not very overwatchy and more so an illari show)
-hazard/phreaks (and nobody likes them)
-lifeweaver/symettra (but they don’t really have much plot in their stories to create an engaging hook)

juno has a panic attack every time she has to do something hard, but eventually succeeds anyway because she uses the advice someone gave her

there isn't much to distinguish between her reaction to having to leave gibraltar vs when she had to fix the comms vs when she had to shoot the talon guy to save lucio, etc.

Yeah, someone in a higher risk situation in life is more likely to die, because that's probability.

Narrative is something purely controlled, and follows different rules than that
