Scifi prevents a "one true religion" issue, meaning all cultural stories have the same validity! Reaper can be athiest, Soldier76 can be Catholic Christian, and Kiriko can be Shinto Shrine Maiden with equal validity in the story bc no true souls/chi/mana/magic has been confirmed as canon.

Math is a universal language and throw in some Captain America style "scifi superhero powers" and that explains Tracer, Sigma, and Soldier76 superpowers. The strength of the ip is that it's a global roster of superheroes where each background has same Canon validity imo! I think that's really awesome :)

Like, I too am curious to see a rendition of the mythical 'nonhealer support', but the demands of support in ow are significantly different than the demands of mobas. In the latter 'setting up your damage' is often the full extent of what a support does, but in overwatch setting each other up is a far more universal move (see the heavy cc ults of tanks, the impediments of many ex-defenders like mei and junkrat). And while cc did take a hit in the move to ow2, it certainlyt didn't become the purview of purely supports

See, I was under the assumption he trained with both the bow and blade (probably many weapons too but those are irrelevant right now). The blade used to be his number 1 choice until he swore never to wield it again after attempting to kill Genji, so he uses the bow now

It probably won't be any time soon but just waiting on the day in the future - hopefully a cinematic fight - Genji is disarmed and injured (temporarily), Hanzo is out of arrows, and he has to wield the blade again to save Genji this time

Mizuki chickens out and sticks with hashimoto, Sombra chooses hunting some aspect of the conspiracy over saving grandpa. Let characters make bad choices (not merely as villain backstories or a litmus of why og ow failed, but in the present, failing to rise to the occasion).

From VA, U.S, her mom was part of the Naughton Project, which was the a special military project designed to produce super-soldiers during the omnic crisis, in which Soldier and Reaper paritcipated.
She spent early childhood with her mom on the run, seemingly bc her mom defected from the military or the project in some capacity.
After her mom was caught and/or suddenly dissapeared, she moved in with her dad, discovered a love for hiking and nature and joined the military, from which she joined the Helix Security group and got stationed in Grand Mesa, and ex-overwatch point now held by Helix

Talon invaded grand mesa and got away with samples of the serum produced by the Naughton project, so she's joining with overwatch to stop talon and continue her search to find her mom

If the robot actually is meant as attacking the prison, the map design image they showed looks to be the opposite because of how it is presented.

Mauga just got done burning the surrounding area to the ground based on the in game dialogue so why would vendetta pull up there again and suddenly have the knowledge of a whole ass null sector ship with something she can use to her advantage

For a null sector machine it’s just plain white and blue based on the concept which goes against null sector’s usual black/purple or white/purple colour scheme

Vendetta also loves to use black and red to symbolise talon’s presence and the mech doesn’t have those colours either

I have kinda come to expect little from the writing in the "characters facing consequences" area because a lot of Vendetta's arc seems to be about characters causing "dramatic moments" instead of in-world logical/grounded reactions to situations. Very... soap opera-y, not my thing.

The most im hoping for is general worldbuilding stuff, which Sierra, Mizuki, and Domina have provided. Emre arc seems to be going towards revealing more about eye conspiracy which i look forward too.
Still holding my tongue about the Mauga vs JunkerQueen thing bc we MIGHT get a comic or something eventually.
If that Mauga vs Junkers fight truely was handled off screen tho, that would be genuinely baffling, that's the exact kind of scene you would WANT to show for rule of cool moments.

Idk i kind of saw Winston as a really genuine #hopecore hero, but ever since Hammond's lore recontextualized Dr.Winston as being a part of the Lucheng scientist group that tortured animals... like idk Winston went from genuinely optimistic "go humanity! That said, I AM happy the story moved forward!

I just find the main villain for this arc leaving something to be desired.
