I mean we've already seen a revolving door of Talon leaders due to them being killed off within the story - Doomfist killed off the last one even. It would be fitting to see him killed off just the same, especially with his "conflict makes you stronger" mentality, it would be pretty poetic for him to be killed off only for there to be an even stronger villain (in lore) to take his place

Dude, there’s a possibility they run one last operation after Venice. I don’t see how else could he possibly lose his arm. Although we still don’t know Cass whereabouts. He is still an outlaw, got a call to return back in action…and then he disappeared. Now most likely if Overwatch didn’t save his hand, he’s now visiting the person who actually was the one who helped him with the cybernetics. It’s also reasonable to think Cassidy could’ve used leftover Blackwatch tech or contacts from that era to replace his arm later. It’s clean, advanced and looks like Overwatch technology. Not like a rough, homemade prosthetic.

The possibilities are endless and it sucks will never know how the lore works
