I know that was the theme, but it's a bit reductive of the dev team to lump together Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, etc. mythology under one theme

the themes I want to see most are Film Noir (art deco styles, hard edges, lots of monochrome) and Sleepover (cosy pajamas, soft shapes, maybe more cardboard skins)

So Brig is the youngest child of Torb, Reinhardt named her and became her godfather after he basically saved Torb during operation White Dome. Before the Recall she traveled around with Reinhardt repairing and maintaining his armor while also doing so for herself and learning some field medic stuff

PvE tells the main story

Right click: vortex grasp: similar to sigma's shift but instead of giving shields it empowers your other abilities (including your primary fire)
E ability: surge slash: slash out a surge projectile from the sword that goes a distance of 150 meters before disappearing
Shift ability: swordshock: smash the ground with your sword. Basically seismic slam but 10x more insane
Ult: sword of destruction: similar to queen's ult except it does MASSIVE damage

Really smart ai that was made to preserve natural live on earth but it went rouge, decided that humans were the biggest problem to the environment, then started a war of eradication

so in order to control and automate several things globally - communication, environment, etc etc - they developed individual AIs that automate science and regulate things. Anubis is the one that was to protect or improve the environment. Basically one day it decided that humans were the worst thing for the environment and went on to wage war against humans by bringing back the omnic factories and setting omnics against humans. It kept learning and improving strategies against fighting the humans. About 2 billion people were killed during the 2 year omnic crisis before Aurora somehow brought a stop to Anubis's control over the omnics

well, Aurora gave the omnics sentience and choice, we just don't know how

Who is Aurora? First time hearing that name. Was that Echo's creator? Or was the Winston's own AI. Ugh....

Dr. Mina Liao made extraordinary breakthroughs in AI and robotics, basically invented omnics. She created Aurora who was the most sophisticated omnic ever made and Aurora was so advanced and human like that she was able to legally gain "personhood". Aurora went off to learn everything about the world. Then Anubis attacked and Aurora "ascended" to save humanity by giving all omnics sentience (a choice).

Echo’s creator is Doctor Liao who created the omnics.
Winston’s ai is called Athena. She’s just the computer voice they have for their base

I was thinking something more detached from the game. Considering how video game adaptation shows are all the rage right now. This would be the perfect time for Blizzard to push an Overwatch animated series on streaming. That's what they planned to do with the IP all along anyway. Concidering all the lore there is to show and to built up on. This is a golden ide.

Who gave him a choice to either rat out the other members of the Deadlock Gang and join Blackwatch or face prison

After that, Cole was apart of Blackwatch until Overwatch was completely shutdown and since then he’s been on the run around the world from authorities

Until he met up with Ana and was tasked with recruiting new members to help the newly formed Overwatch fight Talon

In nowhere was Cole a bounty hunter in any of this

tbf the novels are very young YA level and easy, and Hero of Numbani I'd even qualify as "middle grade" like it's 10-year-old level

oh I DO recommend listening to them on audiobook! they're narrated by their VA's and they are all S-tier, especially Orisa's in Hero of Numbani she's SOOOO good at narrating
