I'm not a huge lore guy but me and the people in #overwatch decided to make a tierlist rated by how strong each hero is lore wise and i wanna know what you lore people think

I'll make adjustments depending on things I didn't know

(Note: being on the same tier does not mean they’re all the exact same strength it just means they’re of similar strength)

Like Doomfist lost to Orisa, Lucio and Winston but I would say he’s a lot stronger than the people in “Strong”

Or people we haven’t seen fight much like Sym are that high because of her ability to be able to make like anything out of light

Doomfist is defeated by 3 kids, a defense bot and Lucio in Hero of Numbani because it's a kid's book and they're the heroes

and they don't really defeat him - he chooses to withdraw

The reason why Reaper fled from Winton in Recall is because getting electrocuted can keep him at bay and force him to wraith form out of it. Electricity seems to be a weakness of Reaper's

And once Winton destroyed the hacking device, Reaper's original mission had already failed, so he fled

I still don't know the lore reason as to why Reaper just has infinite guns in his coat

But yeah I researched Reaper a little bit because in the powerscaling community I'm in, Reaper Vs. Noob Saibot from Mortal Kombat is a popular matchup

while they're there they discover a cosmic ravager, which is some big tentacle monster with lots of eyes that seems to be known to be very dangerous. and the ravager speaks to one person on the team, telling them that they helped him crash the ship, and tempts them to betray the team and join him

as for the characters specifically its kinda hard to tell since the only lines we get about them are when you select them but from what i gathered

• lifeweaver is some deity-like thing that had a vision that directed the team to antarctica
• widowmaker has "cosmic sight" whatever that means
• torbjorn has lost most of his humanity while becoming the cthulu thing? sojourn says "torbjorn, are you still in there?" so idk
• illari's people were lost to "the void"

One thing’s for sure, Anubis has excellent aesthetic taste. Ram (and I’d assume others like him) are nice examples of character design (obviously this chalks up to the Overwatch team being good at character design but that’s Doyleist, not Wattsonian)
