hero missions have nothing to do with the story, i think, they never made clear what ow2 was, hero missions where just coop pve set in the maps we already know, but some maps will have some new sections like kings row in the free pve which was crap, and thats it you level up and unlock skills but never clarify any objective or anything, a lot of people say the pve was going to be bad based on the pve missions ow already have but after playing the last halloween event with new skill trees i think could be good, with competent developers
