I've addressed that yesterday, yes the slant of the head writer and some other devs towards the latter ship is concerning, but I would like to raise a few of my perspectives:

1. We know Pharah has been revealed as lesbian, and apparently she has some interest in Mercy as implied in the "As You Are" novel? But Mercy's sexuality hasn't been revealed either! And I don't see anything implying she's lesbian or bi etc.
2. The subway voiceline between Genji and Mercy does seem a tad off and out of character, but my perspective is that it's just sarcastic banter. I don't see anything completely debunking any sort of possible romantic interest between the two.

3. I don't think this necessarily means Mercy is also romantically interested in Pharah??

So there's indeed a possibility that the pharmercy ship will become canon at some point. But there's also a possibility that it won't come true either, maybe like Pharah would be friendzoned by Mercy (KEKW) and Gency somehow ends up becoming canon, if not the status quo will be maintained or sth else

Ofc I know the actions of the devs made the former more likely and the latter less possible. But what if Gavin is being manipulative and trying to woo the pharmercy fans first but then play the UNO reverse card later on?? LOL
