In the Dragons cinematic towards the final moments of the Shimada showdown, he was able to spot an arrow that was stuck on the floor while being pressured by Genji's sword. If he was blind, there is no way he could have sensed that a random arrow was there.

Later as she was still a student at university she would visit the Overwatch base where she met a young Fareeha Amari. After obtaining her MD and PHD in Switzerland, Ziegler rose to become the head of surgery at a prominent Swiss hospital before pioneering a breakthrough in the field of applied nanobiology that radically improved the treatment of life-threatening illnesses and injuries. It was this expertise that attracted the attention of Overwatch. Ziegler was opposed to the organization's militaristic approach to keeping global peace. So the Valkyrie swift-response suit was made. She became Overwatch's most prominent combat medic. Mercy also saved Genji from death. Jack Morrison and Ana Amari are in Egypt because Morrison stated that he was hunting "the truth" about what happened to Overwatch. Later there was an explosion and it was Talon that was attacking the Temple of Anubis. Ziegler donned her Valkyrie suit once more. She flew over Cairo and at the Temple, saw the firefight between Helix security and Talon soldiers while Morrison and Ana went after Reaper. While the fighting consumes Ziegler tries to save as many people as possible from talon forces. She saved two children who were still trapped in a collapsed building. After the firefight was over Mercy heard that the two children she saved that their parents are dead. She realized it was just like what happened to her years ago. To ensure nothing like this happens again, she rejoined Overwatch again.
