She was a scientist before blackwatch that used controversial inhumane methods to progress, I believe she was either fired THEN got recruited by blackwatch or she was just recruited by blackwatch. Afterwards she made Reaper what he is today, a dead man walking. As well as doing a messed up experiment on herself which led to the purple-veiny-disgusting arm she has today. She also has the opposite attributes of mercy and they just argue a lot. Then as blackwatch and Overwatch ceased to be, she joined Talon where she provides her services there
Also when she was like a little girl she was fascinated with bugs {aka living things} and she probably experimented on them too
