Eh she's alright, She's one of the few heroes being kept on the shelf before she's needed in the on going plot. Kiriko being released is the confirmation of Shimada dragons being 100% spirits so that debunks the theory of dragons being hardlight. For now that's all she is, she trained with the Shimada brothers and her mom taught them. Her new stuff is yet to come

Imagine being sent to war, falling into a coma and waking up years later all alone and abandoned, only surrounded by the corpses of your comrades.

Bastion is shown expressing symptoms of ptsd, such as disturbing thoughts, feelings, or dreams related to the events (when he has flashbacks while reading the mind of a destroyed bastion unit), he shows trauma when the woodpecker sounds remind him of gunshots and I'd even go as far as to say that he has split personality disorder

Where the main one with his blue lights has developed to lock the difficult programming memories away

He also shows an increased fight or flight response in the woodpecker scene, where he panics to the unknown danger before just blasting in all directions

humans made robots
an ai named anubis hacked all the robots and started a big war
overwatch was formed to fight against the robots
the war is stopped
blackwatch is formed inside of overwatch and is pretty shady
omnics gain sentience
blackwatch is exposed and overwatch is shut down
overwatch is recalled by winston

the main antagonists rn are talon and null sector
talon wants to "evolve" the human race by sending the world into a war where only the strong survive and null sector wants to make omnics have the same rights as people but they do like terrorist attacks to do that

Hoping there's more after New Blood, I rewatched the teased PvE mission years ago and I can see that lore discussion will become more plentiful. Once PvE is out next year it'll attract people here more. Although there may be a lot of misinformation that needs fixing for soon-to-be-new comers
